Chapter 11 11. Choose carefully, take your time, and cut your reason into pieces.

Scarlet Finale is a Nostramo gang that is difficult to describe in words. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not because of how scary their image is or how brutal their style is.

What you need to know is that these two points are basically standard features of the Nostramo gang. If you don't have any of the above, the gang will take the initiative to 'fire' you.

Moreover, in terms of violence, they actually don't rank at all. Apart from having a lot of motorcycles and liking to paint half of their faces red with blood, there is nothing worth remembering about Scarlet Finale.

Furthermore, they are not very creative in their use of motorcycles.

They don't use them to tie people up and drag them to death, nor do they use them to hit passing civilians. They really just ride on it and shoot and wield knives. Compared with other gangs who also like motorcycles, they have no imagination.

And the reason why this gang is difficult to describe specifically in words is because they are now.

Well, they're mostly in pieces now.

Literally.

Khalil stood calmly in front of a closed wooden door, his hands lowered and folded in his cloak.

He breathed quietly, almost imperceptibly. The floor beneath his feet was covered in blood, even covering the thick soles of his leather boots. He just stood in front of the door calmly and waited patiently.

He is always very patient.

Fifteen minutes later, two slight sighs of relief came from behind the door, and then quickly disappeared again.

Khalil continued to wait, motionless. Five minutes later, there were soft voices inside the door and the sound of leather boots treading lightly on the cement floor.

At this moment, Khalil suddenly changed his attitude.

He exerted force with his legs and pushed forward with his right shoulder. The huge force caused the door to be knocked down immediately, and the person behind the door who came to check the situation was also unlucky.

He screamed and was knocked out. Unfortunately, he hit the wall and made no sound immediately. Gunshots rang out, and this time, Khalil was prepared.

The sound would no longer be heard - in fact, the killing had begun for a while, but the other gang across the street had never noticed that a massacre was taking place.

"Okay." Khalil said softly, his eyes flashing with a cold blue light, making his voice become scary and low, like the weird sound of a knife blade rubbing against bones.

He stood in front of the empty door, tilting his head, not in a hurry to kill the last survivor. There was blood under his feet, and the corridor behind him was covered with corpses. The broken windows and holes in the walls let in the pale white light from outside.

This angle was carefully designed by Khalil. He needed the survivor to see this.

"Don't come here, don't come here."

There was silence in the room for a few seconds, and then there was a horrified voice, and the protest of a gun that kept pulling the trigger but had no bullets.

The latter is especially obvious.

Khalil smiled and did not rush to press. He could already smell the fear.

Fear can change many things, it can make wise people stupid and fools wise. A few people can withstand high pressure, ignore fear and keep moving forward. But most people will inevitably become its slaves.

He slowly took a step forward, deliberately letting the survivors see his posture.

The unfortunate man screamed immediately, his imagination letting him imagine what Khalil would do to him next.

He shrank back on his hands and knees, and at the same time began to continuously grab debris and garbage on the ground and throw it at Khalil.

Very good and what I expected.

Khalil narrowed his eyes, and the cold blue light flashed in his eyes again. He stood there and did not choose to avoid it, and all the debris passed through his body, not even touching the corners of his clothes.

They fell to the ground and fell into the broken flesh and corpses, splashing blood and making a dull popping sound.

The screams started again seconds later.

This time it was particularly high and fragmented. The only survivor of the Scarlet Finale closed his eyes, began to recite illogical sentences, and waved his hands randomly, just wanting to beg the evil spirit of revenge to let him go.

What he didn't know was that Khalil couldn't move at all now.

Still too forced.

He frowned and thought: I still don't know enough about this power, but it seems that as long as I don't use it violently, the thing from the afterlife can't find me.

This is an unexpected surprise. You can write it down first and tell the ghost later. He also has the potential to awaken this power although I hope he doesn't use it.

Sighing silently, Khalil endured the severe pain and soreness and continued walking forward.

The way he walks now is really slow and stiff. This gesture, which originated from the body itself rather than being disguised, made the survivor who heard the footsteps and opened his eyes scream even more terrifying.

In the corridor outside the room, the bent ghost frowned.

The survivors screamed and began to retreat. His reason has been completely shattered by fear, and there is no longer any possibility of bonding. However, the survival instinct still caused him to make some reactions.

Such as retreating, trying to stay away from the cold room and the ghost standing at the door.

Unfortunately, his back was already pressed against the wall.

There was no retreat for him.

And after that——

The vengeful spirit who stood in front of him and created all this with his own hands slowly spoke.

——

"I still don't understand why we didn't kill him."

"Because——wait, let me slow down."

Khalil took a breath, leaned against the dirty wall in the dark alley and bent down, and after several seconds he continued to answer the ghost's questions.

"Because my plan needs a scum like him who was crushed by fear."

"Plan?" The ghost squatted on the ground and tilted his head. "What plan? You didn't tell me."

"You don't need to know the specific process of this plan, ghost, you don't even need to know its name. The only thing I can tell you is."

Khalil paused again, and he began to take deep breaths again, but this process was painful. The ghost could see his distorted features and sweaty face, which made the ghost stand up.

".What is it?" The ghost asked in a low voice.

"It's its effect." Khalil smiled reluctantly. "I let him go because I knew he would tell everyone what his gang had experienced."

"And then?"

"Then the gangs will know where the vengeful spirit is now active, and those who didn't believe in it before will believe in its existence a little when faced with such a living example of madness."

"But didn't you say it's best not to leave any witnesses and only leave names at the scene?"

The ghost came forward puzzled, helped Khalil and let him sit on the ground.

"Thank you, ghost."

Khalil said, he didn't rush to explain, but chose to thank him first.

Politeness is very important.

"Both methods have their own advantages. Don't stick to one. You should consider and use them as appropriate."

".I don't quite understand."

If you understand, I'm afraid I've seen a ghost, you one and a half year old monster.

Khalil smiled: "You can verify their respective functions later. Let's get back to the topic, Ghost. Do you remember that woman?"

". I remember."

The Ghost's expression became a little tense, and he asked in a low voice: "She said I was a low-intelligence iron golem, what does that mean?"

"You can actually hear it. Well, we'll talk about this later. Anyway, she is from the Scolavik family, a family with a long history in the upper nest. There are as many as seventeen people who can be crowned with the title of earl."

"She is the coroner of the Scolavik family, a role responsible for patrolling the lower nests, maintaining the security of the territories of the gangs under the Scolavik family, and collecting their taxes."

"Compared with the gangs, she is not very senior, but the coroner is a direct employee. Do you understand what I mean?"

The Ghost listened to Khalil's words quietly and patiently, and nodded - the word "direct employee" caused a wave in his mind the moment it appeared, making him know the meaning of this word and more words that followed.

"And she died. I killed the priest of the Dormition Church, the Razor of the Razor Gang, and the member of the Tremor Teeth you killed."

"Tremor Teeth?"

"No lips, and there are many nails or chains piercing his body."

The ghost suddenly realized: "The bald man!"

".In short, we offended the Scolavik family and Tremor Teeth at the same time on the eve of the Great Purge. In order to ensure that the Great Purge can proceed smoothly, they will definitely send people to deal with us."

"This is a good opportunity, ghost, we finally have a chance to kill some upper-class nobles."

Caryl slowly grinned, and a kind of happiness that could not be described in words suddenly flashed on his pale face: ".This is the first time."

The ghost nodded, and then began to think again.

He actually didn't understand the strange terms such as the Scolavik family, Tremor Teeth, and the Great Purge. They didn't suddenly appear in his mind.

He didn't understand them, just like he didn't understand why Caryl knew so much. In fact, in the ghost's opinion, Caryl knew more than him.

However, there are some things that you don't need to understand. You just need to tell whether it is right or good, that's enough.

After careful and brief thinking, the ghost came to a conclusion.

Khalil was right, and this thing was good.

However, he had one last concern to raise. Khalil said that if you are confused about something, just ask directly, don't hide it.

The ghost did it.

He frowned and asked: "But, we didn't leave anyone alive before."

". You are really obsessed with this, ghost. Well, listen carefully-killing is always just a means, not an end, don't get the fundamental relationship wrong, and."

Khalil sat on the ground and slowly stretched out a hand.

The ghost looked at him puzzled.

Silence.

One second, two seconds, three seconds-the famous revengeful evil spirit finally sighed.

"Take me a ride back to the shelter." He said so. "I can't move for the time being."

"Oh."

The next second, the ghost honestly carried him up.

In the new book issue, I will keep two updates every day, one update has 3k words, and there will be a burst of updates on the day it is released. The original plan was 20 updates, but now it is better to increase it to 30 (sad).

I originally thought that by opening a new book, I would be able to fish for a while.
