A Fallen Knight-Lost art of Necromancy

Severus came back to his room swiftly. It would be a lie if he says he was not least bit affected but even if it was painful Severus knew he needed to endure it. Not for anyone but for himself. 

As he plopped on his bed he saw No worry circling over him. He put his hands on the back of his head as he started chatting with him. 

[So?]

"So?"

[Wedding? Are we attending? You know we don't need to. We can always just wage a war and win over the empire.] No worry sounded so proud of his idea. With a gleam in his eyes, he stared at Severus for his praises.

"..."

This….

"I am not planning to rule this kingdom"

[....]

[You are not?]

"No"

[Oh no!]

"It's actually good that they are getting married. This way I will not be ever sad. Once Melanie is married to Maverick there would be nothing left between us that will tie me. I know it's hard, but I never had it easy anyway."

Noworry stared at Severs when he said all this. Sadness was unavoidable. He knew how heavy that wedding invitation was for Severus but that is how fate is. Sometimes you can get the world but cannot even get your own world. Those golden letters were not only poking Severus eyes but also heart. It's ridiculous to see how anyone can love someone to extremes. 

[May this wedding free you from your curse called love]

Severus smiled lazily when he heard No worry. It felt like he was praying for him.

[So, do not tell me we are going to just rest and attend the feast. We need to come up with a strategy to show them who is the boss. Don't we?]

"HMMM"

"Okay!"

[What is the plan?]

"The plan is to solve the mystery of my existence. I have a hunch that everything will fall into its palace when we get to know about my mother after everything started with her. She gave me birth and then died. For unknown reasons I was brought back and not to forget Ex- empress died after Maverick was six-month-old. Do you remember the Ex-empress dying because of some old illness? We need to find out about it. I bet that old bastard knows that I am real Severus and if he knows about me then he would be surely aware of my reincarnation. I am amazed that Maverick has not come to me after our last meeting. This points to two conclusions. Either Maverick don't know about my reincarnation and just think all this as a coincidence, but I highly doubt this theory"

[ Huh? Why? If not this what is your second theory]

"..."

"Have some patience. I was going to tell but you interrupted"

[You rascal. Do not talk back]

Severus felt wronged but he was powerless against No worry. "Second theory is something that I don't wish to come true," Severus said gravely. 

"It can be that either Maverick knows about my identity or is planning something. Something big. He has changed significantly. He is not like his usual self anymore. He even delayed his wedding earlier and now he is so calm. I do not feel good about all this. I don't know what, but something seems different about him and we need to find what caused him to change so much. Even if someone pays me a million, I will never believe that he changed because of remorse and grief after killing me so what is the actual reason?"

As Severus voiced out his doubts Noworry too fell in deep concentration. He slowly perched on his bed and sat there comfortably. 

[Now you say so it seems that there is something different. Oh, I forgot to tell you, but I followed you when you visited Marquis. That Marquis is not a good man. He just reeks of evil. After you left the room another person who was hiding inside the room came out of his hiding. I am amazed you didn't even recognize his presence but then again it shows how formidable he is. That man gave a cold shoulder to him but even at blatant disrespect, the Marquis didn't get angry instead he smiled amicably. That mysterious person has a strong aura. We cannot underestimate him after knowing that even Marquis treats him well. We do not know what relation they have but whatever they have is strong. It is tied by an oath. I could feel hostility from him, but I am not very sure to whom it was directed.]

Severus who was unaware of this incident tilted his head as he asked him "Why?"

[ Their conversation was very different. I could neither make heads nor tails from it. All I could hear was that Marquis wanted to grasp that long lost art of necromancy. It's so ironic that a man who called a massacre for necromancy and banned it is now searching like crazy for it. I think everyone is being misled. The Marquis is hiding something crucial from us and from everyone. You won't believe either I can explain but as he was laughing in glee his voice shook. His aura changed and a discrete vibration started radiating from him. It has been years since I sensed such vibrations. It's also impossible for humans to sense it but we as being animals have a high sense of our surroundings. I used to feel such vibrations only when hades and I used to fight with some demon. I don't want to say anything, but I hope you get my point.]

Severus jolted from his bed. His eyes bulged out as a thought came in his mind. If it was true what Noworry was saying, then Marquis was becoming a danger to mankind. 

[We are doomed if Marquis gets ships' hands-on that art. We need to do something but what should we? We don't even know anything about it. No worry" Severus said stiffly. Day by day situation was stunningly dangerous. Although Severus didn't know what Marquis's reason was to have their wedding early but now considering the scenario it gave him goosebumps.

"What if he was planning to do something crazy at his son's wedding. "

[Even though I doubt it, it may be true. Once your brain gets corrupted there is no turning back. No matter how powerful the person is. The only way to fight this virus is to use your inner will but not many people have a strong will. That is the reason people die in despair because they are unable to hold the candle in the darkness. I am afraid Marquis is beyond saving now. We need to take action or else….]

"Or else? Are you out of your mind? You have not healed completely neither I am powerful enough to challenge such things. You are aware of what happened during the dresser incident. It was sheer luck I was able to Kill Tishn or else we both would be done for. Even after knowing this all, you want me to take responsibility. Do you have a heart or not?" Severus rambled frustratedly.

He was really pissed off from all the curses and stuff. He would have agreed if it were something small but for god's sake. He already had a will to follow him everywhere and now he needs to find this long-lost art. God knows what next will come attaching itself from him. The mere thought of Skeleton gives him nausea. From all the arts why it had to be necromancy? Wasn't it enough that he is fated to attract curses that now he needs to go for forbidden art.?

Noworry knew what Severus was thinking in his mind, but this wasn't the time to be greedy or else everyone will suffer. He steeled his heart as he went to scold him. [You rascal. You are only thinking about yourself. Don't you? I dare you to forgive your blessings. You have been blessed or you can also say cursed to attract curses. You even got reincarnation. Do you even have any idea of how many people die every day in regret? All they ask after death is to go back to being a living person even if it is for once and you have the cheeks to be selfish. I totally didn't expect this from you. Useless Rascal.]

He was cursed again.

Severus was done with No worry lectures. Although he was aware that whatever No worry was saying was straight but currently, he was in no mood to even listen about it. Just for some time, he wants to be selfish. He pulled his covers over his face and slept. He even snored and pretended to be deep in slumber. 

Noworry's wings twitched.

He was pissed now so he failed his wings angrily and went outside the window. Severus heard no moments inside his room, so he pulled his cover down and saw that there was no one inside the room. He sighed in relief after confirming it.

"Such a chatterbox". He switched his position and this time slept for real.
