I didn't know whether it was true or not, but for the sake of my love, I decided to gamble. After you were stabbed by Maverick I was dismayed. Like a broken doll I went to my room and cried for hours. As I was dazed, I saw a butterfly entering my room. She shined under the moonlight, looking like a ray of hope. Gently she hopped on my shoulder as golden dust sprinkled all over my body. As soon as it was sprinkled, I went into dreamland. Severus finally found out the gist of his rebirth.

"Are you an idiot?" Melanie cursed him.

I sure was pathetic.

Severus stood up quietly to leave.

Severus' hands just touched the doorknob when Melanie shouted. 

"Where are you going, Severus?"

Melanie panicked when she saw him striding out. In her panic, she hugged him tightly from the back, leaning on him as if her life depended on him. Severus took a cold breath while he tried to get out of her hold, but her grip was too tight. 

"Severus" She shouted in disbelief when she saw he was struggling. Severus finally couldn't endure it anymore, so he pushed her roughly. Melanie stumbled because of momentum and hit the nearby couch. Her body turned cold when she saw what actually happened.

"ENOUGH" Severus shouted.

"I never wished for a world full of luxury Melanie and as for you, even if I had feelings for you, I will never ever betray Maverick. I don't care whether Maverick ever cared for our brotherhood or not, but I surely did. Even if I had feelings for you, I always looked up to you as my sister-in-law. Please forgive me but I can't do what you are asking me to do."

"Severus"

"Goodbye, Melanie. I bless you to have a happy married life" As Severus opened the door Melanie shouted. "It is because of that bitch Desella? Do not tell me you have fallen for her. Who is she? With such a slutty face that always had makeup on, is nothing but a harlot. T_T. since when did your standards fall so low?" She asked in disbelief.

"It was low, to begin with, but I guess I am finally upgrading them" Severus stormed out after saying this.
