Everything that Moon told Severus was just absurd but that was more the reason for him to find out more about her so he can continue his journey.

"I see. So Minya is a villain or that unknown man?"

Moon dismayed.

"Minya was a young man of 14 years when he committed the crime. For the rest of the world, he became a hero who saved them from a heinous guardian spirit who turned evil but for me, he is no less a criminal than that unknown man. He saw what happened. He understood the gravity of the situation. He had the firsthand experience of witnessing what human greed can do. Still, he relented against temptations."

"He still turned greedy."

"He used his own sister for gathering yin-yang energy and had been himself since then."

Moon suddenly turned quiet while smiling maniacally.

Severus suddenly had goosebumps when he was grazed by her like that.

Moon got up from the ground and came close to Severus' ear as she whispered. "The real preparator behind the cursed spirit and disappearing of men in Znye Island in not me but"

...." It's him"

"It's Minya."

"The crown prince of Znye kingdom is GAY."

"...."

She covered her mouth with her sleeves as she giggled nonstop.

Severus never expected things to turn this way. Suddenly everything turned chaotic as well as absurd. He was not sure how to handle the situation.

He tried putting his worries on hold for a second.

"I see" Severus replied calmly.

"It would be a lie if he said he wasn't disturbed with the news but again it was nothing new.

"I understand what happened to you and the history of the Znye kingdom, however, I still have some doubts"?

"Go on," Moon said without any care.

Severus took a deep breath and asked, "Can you tell me more about the curse Serpentine Valiosa?"

Moon pondered a little about it before speaking and then laughed at it. "Oh!"

"I remember it's one of my offensive spells which I used for protection, but that creature changed the fundamentals of my spell and upgraded it into a high-level curse which runs in the blood and would activate the instant the secret was mentioned. It would kill the speaker as well as the listener."

"No matter what. A large snake would appear from the black mist and then swallow both." Moon described it as a matter of fact however, Severus had seen the complete process. Although he was not personally present there but still the visuals give him shivers.

It is gory to be swallowed by a giant snake.

"Why did you say it aloud? Won't you be afflicted by that curse?" Severus asked curiously however Moon gave him a sly smile,

"For the curse to work on people, it needs blood as a catalyst but" She painted smugly at herself.

"I don't have normal human blood, but blood bestowed by heavens. No one can alter my bloodline so that curse will not work on me. Since I am the guardian spirit, I could sense as well as see everything that happens in this kingdom, so you can say that I have a very vast knowledge."

Severus agreed with her.

She surely knows a lot.

"And if you don't mind me asking them to tell me, why did you attempt to kill me just now?"

Moon stiffened.

"Earlier…."

She started fidgeting with her fingers.

"I know that crown prince has taken fancy to you, but I also know that he will never forsake his dreams just for a mere fancy. Sooner or later, he will ask me to sleep with you, and then after we are done, he will do the same with you to extract the yin-yang energy from you. When the process is complete, he will kill you."

Severus felt disgusted.

He was a legit straight man still he was not interested in a sexual relationship with a woman but now? The mere thought of a sexual relationship with a man makes him puke his guts out.

He was okay with gay and boys' love but he himself did not belong to that category.

"That was the reason I wanted to kill you."

"Even if you killed me, wouldn't the crown prince be suspicious about you?" Severus asked curiously.

Ha!

"Of course, he will. Not only suspicious but he will believe in it. He would believe that I would be the one who killed you but so what? Even if he knows what he can do?"

"He can't possibly afflict me with punishment. He is just powerful enough to seal me but not enough to fight me. The moment I will be free, I will kill him as well as those who didn't support me."

"Who didn't believe in me."

"Humans are nothing but developed rats. They come and beg when they are in need but would turn their backs the moment you need them. I have never seen a filthier creature than them" Moon raged.

It was evident how much hatred she had for humans and Severus did not have a good feeling about it.

It seems like even after rescuing Moon and freeing her soul, things will not change easily and may take a turn for worse.

He feared that what did not happen years ago, what was just only a rumor spreading everywhere may come true.

What if she turns evil after she is rescued?

Severus had no answers.

"I see."

He just uttered two words.

"I guess I will be on my toes against Minya."

HA!

"You can't" Moon mocked him.

Severus was intrigued.

"Moon if may I ask, why is serpentine Valiosa used?"

"that curse was specially crafted for twelve knights of Minya, but his paranoia increased to another level so he casted a wide level spell. He used his entire force and injected poison in each and every one. The entire Znye population was poisoned but the aftereffects are only known to twelve knights. No one knows about it since there are no survivors left to tell the tale."

"As for the secret. It is about his sexuality and the crimes he committed. The twelve knights who work under him are his twelve partners. They all have weird relationships with him as well as regard him with their utmost loyalty. I cannot use the word love here, but they all are lethally dependent on Minya. For him, Minya is like a drug."

"It's hard to understand addiction unless you experience it" She uttered.

However, Severus was sure, he didn't want to understand this type of addiction.

I guess I need to uncover the mysteries related to Minya.

Severus kept quiet as he tried to digest the information he received. "Ah! Yes"

Severus finally remembered an important question.

"I recently sensed ominous vibes from him. Like whenever Minya visited me, the temperature would drop. Or I would feel something slippery. I cannot describe that feeling but its presence is very strong. I feel heavily pressured but then in the next instant, there is nothing. It feels like it is just my illusion, but I am somehow sure it isn't. I cannot be wrong. My senses, they never betray me."

Moon was perplexed.

"How did you know about his existence?" She blurted out.

EXISTENCE…

"whose existence?" Severus asked confusedly.

Moon immediately bit her own tongue for speaking more than necessary.

Severus saw the hesitation and was now convinced that there was sure something ominous going inside the castle and it was related to Minya. He forced Moon to talk about the known.

Gravely he whispered, "you need to tell me for the sake of people and as well as yourself. I promise to help you out but for that, I need to know. I need to know who I will be fighting against or you just want me to go inside a dragon's lair unarmed."

Moon was still hesitating but then she gathered the courage. She had heard everything about Severus and knew how powerful he was. The fact alone that he was able to sense him makes him more powerful than Minya. She was not sure but there was a fragile hope.

Hope to save the kingdom.

"Alright, I will tell you."

"When the ex-king murdered his wife and ripped his heart, black flames emerged from his heart however, the man with the scar swallowed it with the black flames but he wasn't able to fully digest it. A few seconds later, he spits out the semi-digested heart. At this moment he felt Minya's presence and asked him if he wanted power. The boy timidly nodded. The man with the scar laughed joyously and snapped his fingers. The moment he snapped; the semi-digested heart took the form of a big python. It was a python made up of black smoke but was no less than a magical beast. The python had tremendous black magic and surprisingly could converse with Minya. I never understood what they talked about except for just faint whispers of them."

"And that python is the ultimate threat for us...…."

She concluded.
