Severus' brows furrowed. He did not believe that she would tell him anything at the risk of her own life. After all, just like Minya, she was also using him to break free from the spell.

Severus laughed at his destiny.

I see some resemblance in you of him. Well keeping that aside, he was also a wanderer like you. No one knows his origin nor his plans. Severus did not know what was there to be smug about. She was the guardian spirit.

Severus observed the subtle changes in her tone.

"There is an infamous well on the outskirts of the kingdom. It is haunted by the curse of Hades. There is a very old myth, that people who fail in their research to find the spring temple of heavenly pavilion are found dead in that well. Each person who went on the quest died and his body was found floating inside the well. People say that the well has seen more deaths than any battlefield. Even the well's water is red. People say that it is probably filled the victim's blood. No one dares to go near to it except the priest of the nearby temple. He is the one who prays for eternal peace for the ones who are dead. Only he can go near that well. Anyone else who tries to force their way there dies a horrible death."

Moon whispers slowly. "Such is the curse."

Severus knew she was trying to scare him, so he did not show any expression on his face however, he did break in a cold sweat.

The hell was it.

Curse well…. curse spirit…. a magical python…. mummies…. Minya…and the last, the anonymous legend man.

Severus felt that they were all related to each other but how?

He needs to uncover the chain that is binding them all to understand what is happening in this kingdom.

The Island sure lives up to his name….

"The only way for you to find anything is to visit the well. I cannot say anything about others, but you are special. You can feel curses and as well as see spirits. I am sure you will get to know something interesting if you go there" She smirked.

Severus felt goosebumps from her smile.

For a moment he felt she was more threatening than Minya.

All this was so confusing.

He came here in hope that the guardian spirit will help him if he helps her but now he was not so sure.

He was not sure who was the actual culprit.

Was what she told him the actual truth or just a lie?

If it was a lie, then Severus had to salute her for coming up with such a mind-boggling story.

"So, you mean to say that I need to ask a well...." This sounds so absurd.

Moon wordlessly nodded.

Severus sighed.

"Well, if that's what it is, then I think I need to pack my bag first thing in the morning. After All, wasting time is of no use," Severus remarked.

"Let's go" Moon showed him the way.

Severus followed her lead.

They both quietly walked back to Severus' room. Moon was walking shoulder to shoulder with Severus but at one point she just disappeared. Severus failed to notice her presence.

What is the difference between her and that serpent if they both can come and disappear just like that?

For Severus, the enemy was not a threat, but an unarmed enemy was. Since he would not know what tricks the enemy would be hiding up his sleeve. If he had a sword then he would either stab or slash but if he is armless then he can use any weapon.

What could be more horrific?

Severus did not turn back and went straight for his bed as soon as he came into his room, he fell straight on his bed.

Noworry was woken up from the shuffling of sheets but sensing that Severus was probably tired, he resisted his urge to question him.

It was a difficult night for Severus but soon exhaustion overpowered him, and he fell asleep.

The night passed like a wind and a new day came.

Noworry was quietly eating fruits from the fruit basket.

The fruits here tasted divine.

As soon as Severus woke up, he saw a timid bird hogging on the grapes. He chuckled at Noworry antics.

Sometimes he behaved normally, like a pet.

How cute it would be if he does not speak and always behave so cutely.

Severus wondered. 

Noworry squinted at him. [I can hear your thoughts in case you forgot]

He totally forgot about their psychic connection.

Severus immediately freshened up.

"I see you are ready but where are we going?" Noworry asked when he noticed that Severus was getting dressed up.

[We are going to the library]

[Why? It is such a boring place] Noworry grumbled.

Severus knew it would be hard to convince him, but he needs to.

"There is a lot that you don't know. I want to tell you everything, but I don't think we would be able to communicate here. It's best if we go out and discuss it" Severus proposed the idea.

Noworry felt that whatever Severus said was correct.

This entire kingdom was surrounded by a weird aura.

Severus and Noworry had a bite and then told Minya about their plans. Severus was surprised when Minya did not question him about anything and agreed to it. He even sends his two knights.

Severus was okay with them since they both were similar faces.

Cold and calm Uze while cheery Rze.

Severus had heard their banter last time and wondered whether he could use them for his purpose. But Moon had warned him that they were loyal to death to Crown prince Minya. He was not quite sure if he could gain anything from him, but he cannot let the opportunity go to waste. 

He decided to go for it.

He will go with his plan.

After the door closed shut, Shen Yiwen took out a photograph from his pocket and held it gently in front of his face. He stroked it very softly just like stroking a lover.

In the photo, there was a girl who had a sweet toothy smile. She had long black hairs that were tied up in a ponytail. Her face was smiling, while her eyes were like a crescent moon. Happiness was radiating from her face with the innocence of a child.

Shen Yiwen clutched the photograph in his hands and closed his eyes to suppress the pain and the agony he was feeling but soon tears started streaming down from his eyes. He didn't make any whimper or hiccups. He just silently cried. The tears were endless and each one of them dropped on the girl's photograph.

Soon her photograph became wet with tears.

That night Shen Yiwen cried the whole night without any sound. The lights inside the rooms were off and the only source of the light present was from the big window across the bed.

Today moon was full and it brightly shone outside.

Inside the room, the moonlight entered and fell on him. In the moonlight, his figure turned more desolate and lonely. Truth to be told Shen Yiwen was a very handsome man with exquisite features but now all that was left was a frail him, who had his own frail charms but so terrible there was no one to appreciate this beauty
