A Fallen Knight-Lost art of Necromancy

Severus focused on killing but amidst the fighting, a sharp pain shot in his heart. He fell as he clutched his chest.

Moon was startled.

Severus spat a mouthful of blood. 

"What did you do to Severus?" Moon was alarmed.

Minya smiled mysteriously. "Did he think everything was so easy as he predicted?"He mocked Severus for his foolishness.

The knights quickly used this opportunity to tie Severus down and chained him at the center of the circle. Moon was also not spared however the knights failed to capture her. Her reflexes surpassed them however she still was a threat.

"It's okay if you can't catch her, just engage with her until I complete my ritual" Minya ordered vehemently.

His subordinated nodded.

The fight between her and the knights continued.

On the other side, Minya had closed his eyes and went back to murmuring prayers.

An hour passed like this.

Severus who was lying unconscious jerked suddenly, shocking everyone out. His eyes turned cold, while blood continued flowing from his mouth. His body was heavily exhausted. His breathing became unstable as he asked," What sorcery is this? I stabbed your soldiers, but they did not die. Next, I see a black closet in their blood, and now this. Just what taboo are you conducting?"

WHY?

Severus was perplexed.

HAHAHAH!

"Isn't it obvious Severus? Did you really think you came here on vacation? I will sacrifice you to fulfill my wish. You are such a naïve man" As he completed what he was going to say, he stood up and walked towards Severus.

Moon noticed Minya closing towards Severus. She leaped to save Severus but alas she was gripped by Uze. He successfully subdued her with help of others.

"No" Moon shrieked.

"You need to save yourself Severus or else everything will turn into dust."

However, Severus was too weak to save himself. Minya smiled coldly, "Goodbye Severus" Without any mercy, Minya stabbed the cold dagger in Severus' stomach.

Aghhh

Severus' breath hitch and the next moment he fell face down on the floor.

Minya brought out an old piece of parchment paper and used Severus blood to draw circles on it. Soon he drew an intricate pattern on it. After he is finished, he slashes his own thumb and drops of his blood are poured on the paper.

The paper started burning in blue flames. Soon, a fire message appeared on the paper.

Sacrifice identified.

Sacrifice received.

Waiting for the request of reward.

The messages came one after another.

HAHAHAH.

Minya laughed maniacally.

"Finally,"

However, at this moment Moon was earlier subdued by knights and suddenly showed superhuman strength and surpassed them. She leaped towards the fire message. Her smile reached her eyes as she chuckled evilly.

"I will be the one who is going to use it" She snatched the paper.

Minya froze on the spot. The paper was stolen from his hands. He was enraged. "Moon don't forget your place. I am giving you my last warning. Give it back or else…" He barked.

OH!

"Or else?"

"The moment I speak my wish, you will lose your power as well as control from me. Did you really think you can control me for the rest of your life?"

Ha!

"Why are you doing this? You were supposed to be the guardian spirit of the kingdom so then why?" Minya asked.

Moon laughed bitterly.

Guardian spirit.

There was a time when she used to like her job but now, not anymore. Humans have changed. Feeling like gratitude and moral values were completely forgotten. As time passed by, she saw how conceited humans were. Killing and robbing for their benefits. Overexploitation was everywhere. Women and children were subjected to abuse.

She was shocked.

She didn't want to protect them.

Not at any cost.

Human species was ugly and blood thirsty. A selfish race.

However, her hand was tied. All she could do was to watch and protect from the sidelines. Once a person dies in Znye, she would see his or her memories. Every time she used to see anyone's memories, all she saw was pain and darkness. There was hardly any corpse who was happy.

Then one day, a man with silver hair and a scar on his right eyebrow came to meet her. He enlightened her and asked her to join his team. A team responsible for changing the way this distorted world behaves.

She was fascinated. It was a shame that she was fascinated by ideas of mere mortal when she herself was a dignity, but does it matter?

Not for her.

She had promised to him that she will help him to achieve his dream.

"I wish to be free from any restrictions," Moon announced.

It was too late.

Although Minya had called for his guardian spirit, it was late.

The deed was done.

A strong gust of wind flew inside the room. Moon's face changed. Her complete body changed. She came into her original form.

She giggled when she noticed a surge of power inside her.

"Yet. Yes. I am gaining my full power" She danced in happiness.

Minya as well as his subordinates paled.

This was not how it was supposed to go.

What will happen now?

Cough cough…

Severus who was still lying on the floor opened his eyes with much difficulty. His throat felt hoarse, but he still mustered his courage to speak. "Moon…Moon. Save me. I agreed and acted as you wanted me to, now it's your turn to keep your promise" He coughed more blood.

He looked extremely sorry.

Moon chuckled coldly.

"Aww…my poor Severus. I don't remember making such a deal with you."

What the---

Severus cursed.

His eyes were bloodshot as he glared at her. "What are you saying. You finally got your power back so what are you waiting for? Quickly heal me and save the people of Znye from Minya'' He said with urgency,

Hahahah.

"Are you kidding me?"

Severus was in so much pain, but he still tried to stand up but failed miserably.

Thud!

"Do I look like I am kidding here? Come one do it" He urged her, but Moon ignored her.

Knowledge dawned on him.

"Why?"
