A Fallen Knight-Lost art of Necromancy

Chapter 211: What is limit? and why is it nasty?

Bam!

She crushed the door beneath her.

Raw strength. Just pure raw strength it was.

Everyone was amazed by her power. Dressed in an all-black gown, she had a long overcoat draped by her shoulder.

"As if I am letting this whore take advantage of you" She skillfully brought out sharp blades from her inside pockets. The blades were a weapon attached with a handle. It was made up of special alloy, dipped in magic, its blades shined giving the illusion of starlight.

Moon who was attacked so swiftly backed away from Severus.  Her cheeks got grazed by her blade, and black blood dripped down. Everyone's breath hitched when they saw how fast this unknown woman was. Her strengths were on another level. Despite being best in their kingdom, they were not even able to touch a strand of Moon's hair but here, this girl managed to graze her in her first attempt only.

They were all awed and their hearts were filled with respect for Desella.

However, the moment Moon backed away, she came in front of Severus and crouched near him in a protective stance.  "I dare you to harm him" she spitted it out coldly.

Swish!

Clink!

As clinking resounded in the air, metal collided with metal, and with one swift motion, she slashed his handcuffs. "Better?" She asked gingerly to Severus, but he just smiled at her. "I told you not to join the mess yrt you still did."

With a sigh, he patted her head like a little girl.

Desella's cheeks flushed.

She was scared. Too scared earlier. When she saw him feeble and clutched in Moon's arm, she was stupefied. But now everything was good. It was okay. Everything is worth it as long as he is alive.

Ha!

"I will admit that I am kind of jealous of you Della…or whatever is your name. Severus, he never looked at me with those eyes. There was always coldness and distance in his eyes for me but for you, I can see he is worried. He cares for you. And I am not liking this, not at all" Moon openly admitted it.

Everyone present there was taken by surprise.

What does she mean by not liking it? Did she harbor feelings for him?

It was absurd.

"Know your limits" Desella warned her only to hear a chuckle from her.

"Limits?"

"What are they? I never understood the concept of limit and boundaries. What is a limit in reality? A line that cannot be crossed. But why?  Who created this nasty limit? Why cannot someone achieve greater things and cross the barrier of limit? I want to fly, like a bird, high in the sky. As high as I can"

"The birds die if they fly out of their range. The air, high in the sky, is thin. Their lungs could not keep up with low oxygen levels. In the end, greedy birds who cross their limits die high up in the sky. Their vessels burst from inside due to high pressure, leading them to a painful death. However, that too varies, like an eagle who can fly high but not a small bird."

"The question is, are you an eagle or small bird?" Desella questioned back.

Moon grinned. "Quite skilled you are in talking."

Desella shrugged.

"Ouch" Severus groaned in pain.

Desella worriedly turned around. "Are you okay? Is it painting somewhere Severus? Tell me, say something" She asked several questions in panic. One moment she becomes a ferocious tiger but the next moment, facing Severus, she turns into a clumsy kitten. Who was afraid her master would abandon her?

"I am okay" Severus wanted to stand but Desella stopped him.

"what are you doing? Rest here" However, he shook his head. Tripping a bit, using her as his support he stood up. His heart was still aching but he clutched his chest tightly, as he stood there sloppily.

"What? Trying to be courageous in front of your little chick?" Moon eyed him.

"I am telling you. It won't work. Your time has come Severus and soon your soul will depart from this world so better save your energy and have lil chit-chat with your chick."

"You…" Desella was angered. In a fit, she charged ahead to attack her, but Severus was quick enough to restrain her. "Let it be. It's not worth it. I want to ask few questions from her too so let me before she goes crazy."

"She is already a crazy bitch. How more of a crazy she can be" Desella cursed?

Ha!

Moon had a smug expression on her face.

"Sure. I can't let you die in vain" She replied.

Severus drew a sharp breath. The pain was almost crushing him. Only he knew how much willpower he needed to even speak a single syllable not to mention, now he needs to show a strong font too. In case Moon attacks Desella out of nowhere. He was aware of how sneaky and dirty she played.

"About Minya. Is it true whatever you told me?"

Minya trembled. His horses inside his mind started running wild. What could she have told Severus?

Did she sell him out?

HAHAHAH!

"You still want to know that? Sure, let me personally tell you how he planned to betray you so he can fulfill his selfish wish. Let me tell you, how ugly humans are and to what extent they go to fulfill the selfish desires in their heart."

Minya's expression turned ghastly pale. This was not what they planned. If Severus really got to know about it, then Minya doubted he would help him defeat the guardian spirit.

"No, Severus. I do not know what lies she fed you, but you can't trust her. She is a woman with a low character, who is filled with greed to her core. All she wants is to destroy the Znye kingdom and take her revenge. She will do everything in her power she can, to attain her goal. She is nothing but a harlot. She…"

Slash!

Minya's hand that was holding the beads got stabbed by a small blade. Black blood seeped out of it.

"So noisy," Desella said as a matter of fact.

Everyone was speechless while Minya wailed like a slaughtered pig.

"You must not believe her Severus."

Tik!

Another blade landed but this time it did not stab him but got stuck to his cloth. It was a warning from her, to keep his filthy mouth sealed or else, next time the danger will stab his heart without a failure.
