A Fallen Knight-Lost art of Necromancy

Chapter 51: Bitter or better 6

Present**********************

"OOOF....."

Severus was now pissed off.

"What?"

"Nothing! It's just that she even surpasses the limit of stupidity"

Severus"...."

"What happened next Severus?"

Severus"......."

Honestly, he also didn't know what happened afterward. As far as he can remember he just saw some flashes. In those flashes, all he could see was Desella's cold face and some snippets of her life story. He also saw that man but he couldn't able to see his face, only his silver locks and a scar above his right eyebrows was seen. In those snippets, there was a horror scene too. It was a scene that reflected Desella's cruel life history.

"Severus, hey, tell. Why are you in a daze?", Noworry asked in concern.

"Nothing. I only saw her and that man but I failed at seeing his face. I just saw his silver locks and a scar above his right eyebrow. Later I saw a horrific soon too. Somewhere deep in the mountains, crowded by trees Desella was kneeling on the ground with her head hung low. Blood was oozing out from her lips. Her clothes were all tattered and dusty and looked as if she was fighting earlier"

"Her expressions were as if she was dead but her continuous breathing confirmed that she wasn't dead. She was kneeling in a defeated position whereas that man was proudly standing, towering her with his height. His expressions were smug. The man opened his mouth and uttered, Oh Desella. I never imagined that you would continue remaining as naive. Even after going through so much, you are still the same as you were two years ago. Tch, Tch.....you can only blame yourself for your fate and after saying this the man's hand moved fast then wind and a shiny dagger appeared in his hand and swiftly he pierced it through her fair neck. The blood sprayed as water and Desella fell on the ground. She didn't hiccup nor cried, very quietly she closed her eyes. A single tear slipped from her eyes and she finally left the world."

Past

Winds swayed softly and sunshine was mildly shining on the dead girl's face. The man bent down and gently held the girl's soft hair. He was winding it with his hand and had serious expressions.

He was deep in his thoughts and for an instant a regret shined in his eyes but it went away in a flash. Quietly he uttered..."Only if you had the courage to face the reality darling"

The man stood up and left. He never turned, not for a once. Soon the sounds of footsteps disappeared and the vision became blurry.

"This is her life story Noworry. Since I accepted the book, then I have to accept her too."

Noworry choked on the spot while listening to this. Cough, Cough......."Accept. what are you saying? Don't tell me you have fallen for a ghost?"

Severus was speechless.

Eh.....did my words were wrong?

"No, Hell no. Ayee....what are you even thinking? I mean to say that since I accepted the book, spells of death so I need to solve her mystery too. That's the only way she can rest in peace. Why do you think she wandered for so long? The one who trapped her in this prison must be very cruel", Severus offered his thoughts.

Noworry hummed in response.

"Severus since now we are clear what motive she has and what powers she has we can ask her for help. It could be mutual help"

"No Noworry. I promised her that I will help her as a friend and I will abide by that principle. I would be glad if she helps me but even if she didn't, I won't mind. This is the fate that I have chosen for myself"

"Aren't you taking this too personally, Severus? Once bitten twice shy. Have you forgotten about it? She can kill us an instant and for the god sake, how could you even forget about the betrayal of your dear friend crown prince. How are we supposed to help a ghost with a tragic story? For once I agree with you to help her but what later on? You are now cursed with the magic of spells of death so it's futile to run away from ghosts since they will find you anyhow. You can't possibly help everyone, can you?"

Noworry ranted out. He was running out of patience now. How could they possibly resolve every ghost problem? It was a joke. It was a kind of impossible task. Moreover, he had his own doubts. They could help positive ghosts but what about evil ones? The mortal world was the key to necromancy and various powerful beings lurked in shadows, waiting for an opportunity to be gifted by heaven so that they can rise again and Severus was a holy feast in this case. He can't put Severus's life in danger because of some tragic ghosts.

No this is unacceptable.

I must not allow Severus to do this.

Severus smiled wryly.

"Noworry I ain't helping her because of sympathy. Actually I am just helping myself and in turn, she is also benefitted by it"

"What do you mean? Say everything clearly"

"Every day I feel like my heart is freezing and day by day I am losing mortals feelings. I think I am becoming a stone. I am losing a sense of happiness and anger. Everything is becoming dull. Only these moments makes me feel alive, alive as a mortal. While I help anyone from their despair automatically I am helping myself to come out from the big shadow of despair. I understand it's risky but what great things can you achieve without risking?'

Severus spoke seriously and honestly.

Noworry became quiet.

Although he didn't agree, he didn't even deny Severus' proposal.

"We will see later what will happen, Severus. You take some sleep too. It was a tiring day"

Noworry left Severus' room and went away.

Severus lied on his bed and closed his eyelids.

As soon as he closed his eyelids he became unconscious and slept like a bear without any care.
