"Curiousness is a calamity which takes human to a new realm of knowledge"

-------------------------------

"Ah… it hurts. My head is hurting", Severus groaned in pain.

[Yes, it will hurt for some time. You better take care of yourself and don't you dare repeat the

stunt you did today]

[You do know that it is greatly harmful performing the spells when your energy is depleted. The consequences of doing it are bizarre. You could have died or could have paralyzed for your whole life. Why do you want to take a risk, Idiot?] Noworry ranted.

Severus's vision was blurry when he opened his eyes. He felt tired and drowsy with no strength he just laid back.

"Why am I here? Did we get caught?"

"Are we in prison?"

"Are you okay, noworrry?"

"Damn, what the hell is going on? Why am I laying on a stone?"

" This doesn't seem like a prison. Where the hell I am?"

Severus bombarded questions one after another. His voice was lazy and stuttering but he still somehow managed to form coherent sentences.

Amidst their bickering, the door creaked open and an elderly man came forward holding a bowl.

"Noworry what's this?", Severus glanced at the bird but Noworry just hummed in response.

Severus"....."

"Wait, aren't you the same monk? Do you remember me? I am the man whom you asked for compensation", Severus waved his hands frantically in front of the man.

"I do"

Severus"...."

Noworry[.....]

Damn, seriously.

Just two words!!!!. Severus grumbled.

"Okay, so you do remember me. It's my pleasure I had the honor to be remembered by you. Now, if you don't mind, please tell us why I am here?", Severus asked politely.

"Who is the unwanted guest in my home?"

"me"

"Who is lying on my floor?"

"me"

"Who is seeking my hospitality?"

"me"

"Pardon me, then who should be the one asking questions?"

Severus"....."

"Since it's my home, my floor, my hospitality and it is my right to ask questions. Tell me what are you doing here?"

Severus"..."

"Mister, I apologize for my rudeness but I have no memory of me coming here"

"Of course you won't remember. When you came here you were unconscious", the Old monk replied casually.

Severus"..."

"Why was I unconscious?", Severus asked in exasperation.

The old monk leisurely sat down beside Severus and started sipping his bowl of medicines

"How would I know?"

Severus became irritated. The old monk's non- chalant attitude only added fuel to his temper.

"Okay, since you are not going to tell me how I came here so I guess I should take my leave. Please forgive me for my rudeness and thanks for your hospitality", with that Severus stood up with much difficulty and started walking out of the room.

As soon as his hands touched the knob, a cold voice echoed inside the room.

"Fine! You want to leave, you can but do remember that if you walk out of this room you are going to die again"

Death.

This word was a curse to Severus. He didn't fear death but unjust death was something that was unacceptable to him. His hands froze and cold sweat covered his back.

"What do you mean by death. Am I not fit, why will I die? You aren't an astrologer who can predict the future. Are you, by any chance?"

"No, I ain't an astrologer. I am a measly peasant who just happens to have some knowledge on necromancy and dark magic"

Severus was astonished. As far as he knew, all the saints who performed necromancy were either slaughtered or were castrated upon King's order. Caution developed inside Severus and for the first time, he finally took a good look at the monk. The monk had a thin frame, which was covered due to his grey gown. His skin was wheatish but it had no wrinkles. It was as if he was ageless.

You know lad, "Curiosity killed the cat".
