A Story of Evil

Chapter 73: The Genius

Flames covered the area where Alice was. There was a great fire burning in all directions and yet, there was something weird about it. Alice simply saw the flames right in front of her, unable to actually reach her. While on the other side, blaze was just as weirded out. Seeing his flames turn into a huge wall instead of gigantic sphere of flames.

This anomaly was solved by a person who came out from the shadows. Offering two healing crystals he scavenged from the earth titans while remaining fully healed himself. Alice took these with a smile on her face.

"Took you long enough." Alice said, stabbing herself with the crystals which began restoring her body. She was slowly falling asleep, finally assured that everything will be alright.

"Sorry. There was a lot I needed to do."

The flames began dying down. Soon enough, even Blaze was able to see the entity that somehow stopped his attack. It was the same person he was searching for. Solomon.

"Ahh so the coward finally decides to show himself."

Sol was just standing there. He wasn't saying anything in reply, nor was he moving. There was a stoic expression on his face. Devoid of any fear or anxiety. Irritating the hot-headed Prince Blaze once again.

"Aren't you gonna say anythi– " Before he could even finish speaking, a force hurled him to a couple of nearby tress. Surprised, the prince came out and create a bunch of fire balls. Yet all of these disappeared in an instant as he felt gravity increase on top of him, squashing him little by little.

He looked around, trying to figure out where his opponent was. Yet Sol was nowhere within the ground.

"Up here." The boy said, making the prince gaze up from a lowly position.

"Now that is a proper look for you." Sol continued, making the prince snap as he released a pillar of black flames. Consuming a large amount of land. Blaze continued screaming, destroying everything in sight as he continued his transformation. Turning into the same form he used when battling against the physical enhancers.

"Man, using all these powers at once is straining., I need to finish this fight soon." The boy said, placing Alice on a safer spot, far away from the heat of the fight. He even tied her up on a tree, making sure that no monster would suddenly come and kill her.

Everything was still a bit weird for Sol. He was like a newborn when it came to using skills. Even the ability to breathe despite the chaos air surrounding him came as an anomaly in his head. Yet, he wasn't complaining. Far from it. He was grateful that he could finally use his powers.

"Right, back to that imbecile." Sol pushed himself using gravity, flinging him back to where Blaze was. It was still a slopy move but, when it came to destructiveness, Sol was able to fully utilize the skill.

"It's over for you now." Blaze began speaking as soon as Sol landed.

"Not even five titans could defeat me in this form. You have no chance of winning now."

"Oh yeah?" Sol was using [Reverse Analysis]. The rune pattern surrounding the transformation and the flame shield used by the prince was much more complicated. But it wasn't like Sol couldn't' decipher it. He just needed more time.

"YOURE DEAD INSECT!" Blaze charged in towards Sol but, the boy simply uttered another spell:

"Gravity – Tenfold." Blaze's body was heavy once again.

He continued moving towards Sol nevertheless. But every step he took buried his feet to the ground. He tried flapping his wings in order to escape but, it was still all too heavy. Like he was carrying a whole house behind his back.

"You think this is enough to stop me? I am the rightful heir to the throne!"

By sheer force of will, Blaze was escaping from Sol's gravity binding. He was beginning to move even faster and, Sol couldn't have that. Even though it was draining his mana rapidly, he casted the skill again.

"Gravity – Twentyfold."

Gravity was once again multiplied. Blaze was basically kneeling at the ground at that point. All his muscles continually tore as quickly as the black flames restored them. He was screaming. Trying to get up no matter what.

With his resolve, he released another pillar of black flames that shattered Sol's spell. Forcing the boy to create a wall of space in front of him that prevented the flames from hitting.

With his [Reverse Analysis] active. He finally understood how the flames worked. To Voids, it was simply regular flames. Strong and very dangerous but, regular nonetheless. It would die like any other and would be extinguished without problem upon touching a Void's skin. That is why Alice survived being consumed by it earlier on. And that is why Sol himself survived it when the black-flamed Blaze first came for them.

However, those with mana are different altogether. The flames will target the mana veins inside the body, burning the target from the inside out. Just touching a bit of this will trigger the effect. This was where Blaze was gravely mistaken. Sol wasn't belittling him. The boy was completely aware that, as a person with mana, a small miscalculation would mean his death.

"Die you peasant!" Blaze released even more fireballs than he did earlier. With Sol dispersing them right away through [Reverse Analysis]. Yet Blaze did not relent and created even more than this. Forcing Sol to use gravity magic again. Flinging Blaze away as he disabled some fireballs while he dodged some more.

"I finally caught on to you! You can't disable all of my fireballs if there are too many!" Blaze said, actually being more observant than he looked. Creating more and more fireballs which placed Sol on complete defensive. Having to cast another wall of space that made the balls of flame explode just Infront of him.

This temporarily impaired his vision. Blaze used this to jump up and try attacking from above. Releasing a pillar of flames that shot down. Consuming the spot where Sol was and all of the surroundings nearby. The pillar continued rising up and circled into a hurricane of flame.

"HAHAHA! Do you see now? You are no match for the prince of the fire domain!" He furthered, looking at the aftermath which showed no signs of life from his opponent anymore. There was only fire. Until there weren't.

"Sol squashed the pillar of flames flat. There was no damage on his body. Not even a bead of sweat formed on his forehead. Nor was there any sign of exhaustion or worry.

"How…"

"You won't understand even if I explain."

The prince created more fireballs and turned the whole ground into a sea of flames. Sol was forced to remain airborne as he fought the prince who released his dual-wield sword style. Creating blades of flame – slashing towards Sol. The boy didn't dodge these and instead raised a wall of space all around him. Preventing any attack from coming through.

It would seem that Sol is invincible but, his mana was actually running short. He continued observing the prince, infuriating him more and more and making him lose all reason. Meanwhile, Solomon was still calm. Even with all the attacks being directed at him and his opponent that showed no signs of exhaustion, the boy was still indifferent.

"Is that all you can do? Frankly, I'm not impressed."

Blaze created a large rune structure at that point. Too big for Sol to dismantle; making him regret his earlier taunt as the sky itself felt like it was shaking. Creating an object that glowed even brighter than the moon. A black flame meteorite, falling down upon Solomon.

"You gotta be shitting me." Sol said – his mind already thinking of the best way out of the situation.

"Take this and know that I am the strongest!" Blaze triumphantly said.

Sol simply sighed as he placed [Gravity Push] on his feet. Making him spring up towards the gigantic ball of flames. Surprising Blaze who couldn't make sense of what was happening yet again. Soon enough, Sol was inside the sphere, activating [Gravity Pull] and condensing the ball of flames before pushing it back up and making it explode.

"Who is the strongest again?" Sol mocked, making Blaze's anger turn to rage.

"YOU DARE HUMILIATE ME AGAIN! I WILL BURN YOU DOWN THE GROUND!" Blaze said as he flew towards Sol. But it was too late for him. His time has run out because, the boy has finished analyzing his form. With one hand in front, Sol casted:

"Gravity…Hundredfold."

There was no resistance as Blaze crashed down. Creating a shockwave that destroyed everything nearby. Sol went down right after him and, ran towards the prince who was continuing to change form at that point. His whole body being coated in flames.

"YOU DARE! YOU DARE!" It was another change of form but the principle behind it was still the same. Sol could still use his [Reverse Analysis], although not as potent.

"Just shut up and die."

Suddenly, the prince felt weightless. And was able to stand back straight. Sol continued running and, the prince gladly accepted this placing both his swords into striking position. But the boy snapped his fingers, reverting prince Blaze's whole upper body to normal momentarily as, another gravity increase came. Pushing him back down.

Sol was able to close the distance at this point. Giving himself a short push of gravity that catapulted him faster, taking out his dagger. He then released gravity once more, evaded one punch from the prince as he pivoted his body to the side. And, in a quick motion, he finally stabbed Blaze.

The prince screamed as the flames tried restoring him back to normal. But Sol was prepared. He tore the whole chest of the prince open using space magic and, placed something inside.

As he saved Alice, he also took the magazines of the gunblade. Loaded with all of the bullets that could still be used. The flames restoring Blaze immediately hit these and, since they were basically made of mana, Sol knew that the flames would burn even the bullets. Creating the reaction which he needed.

"This is goodbye Prince Blaze." He said, taking out his hand just in time to witness the prince exploding right in front of him.
