Alien Knights

Chapter 136 Honor Duel

The Muxi Expedition quickly occupied the beaches of Claw Isle with little resistance.

The impact of explosives is far more terrifying than people imagined.

After an approximate count, about 700 people gathered on Claw Island, most of them were old people, women and children. The young male was sent by the patriarch to attack Muxi Town and never returned.

At first, the members of the Talon tribe thought that the soldiers were carrying the spoils and would return soon, but the news that Lev risked his life in the Muxi Expeditionary Army brought them the worst results.

"The old guy standing on the tribal altar is the patriarch of the Talon tribe—Crofts. I heard that his son is the leader who directed the pirates to go south."

Hearing Morgan's words, Todd led the troops to the square in front of the tribal mansion, glanced at the Claw clansman holding all kinds of weapons, turned his face to Crofts, and said loudly: "I, Todd Fischer, am the head of the Muxi Knights and the guardian of Muxi Town!"

As soon as this remark came out, exclamations and discussions immediately came from the Claw tribe.

Todd paused, and continued: "I believe you are familiar with the name Muxi Town! Not long ago, the coalition forces of your tribe and the barbarians attacked my territory, burned my house, and killed my people."

Claw patriarch Crofts shook his silver beard, pushed away the tribal warriors in front of him, and asked Todd loudly: "Guardian of Muxi Town, what do you want? Revenge? The Claw tribe is always with you!"

There was a wave-like echo from the crowd. The elderly, children, and women raised their agricultural tools and sticks, and cursed and abused the soldiers of the Muxi Expeditionary Army.

Todd narrowed his eyes slightly, glanced at the stone tablet with various gods and spirits painted on the door of the longhouse, and raised the cross on his chest: "The doctrine I believe in requires believers to be kind to each other. For those guests passing by the door, I will always try my best to share a piece of bread and a glass of water. But how do you do it? Set foot on our land like thieves, snatch all the property in front of you, and kill every unarmed person!"

The soldiers of the Muxi Expeditionary Army clenched the weapons in their hands, and raised their blades towards the Claws in front of them.

Crofts made a disdainful voice from his nostrils: "Your gods are weak, and your people are a group of fish waiting to be caught to the North Islanders! We North Islanders have the traditions of the North Islanders and our own rules of doing things. This is the law of the gods and the legacy of our ancestors!"

Deep in Todd's throat, he let out an "oh" sound, and suddenly said: "In this case, let's settle our grievances according to the tradition of the North Island people."

Seeing the soldiers on the opposite side put the boards on the ground, there was a puzzled voice among the Claw tribe. Crofts scratched the beard on his chin and frowned.

"I heard that there is such a tradition in the North Island. If someone in the family is killed, the family that suffered the loss has the right to demand compensation or justice." Todd pointed to the wooden board on the ground and said quietly: "I am now asking for justice for my people in accordance with the practices of the ancestors of the North Island people. This kind of request is not too much, right?"

After hearing Todd's words, no one from the Talon tribe expressed dissatisfaction or objection. In their opinion, what they said was reasonable.

Crofts asked in a deep voice, "What do you want to do?"

Todd found a wooden chair and sat on it: "I want a duel of honor. Just like how the enemies of the North Island met at sea, both sides sent out equal numbers of fighters to fight one-on-one on the springboard one by one. Either kill all the opponents, or die in battle, and the companions behind will avenge themselves."

Seeing that Crofts was indecisive, Todd said with a smile: "The North Islanders have the traditions of the North Islanders and have a set of rules for doing things. This is the law of the gods and the legacy of the ancestors! You won't forget what you said so quickly, right? Or do you want to go against the will of the gods and ancestors?!"

The old patriarch looked at the gaze cast by the Claw tribe, and gritted his teeth: "The Claw tribe accepts honor duels, but they are not allowed to use the weapons of the gods!"

Todd nodded and said, "You mean the explosion just now? Don't worry, I can promise you that the next duel will only use weapons and armor, and will not use any power of the Holy Spirit."

Crofts turned his head, looked at the soldiers beside Todd, and discussed with the warriors in the clan.

On the other hand, the head of the Knights just snapped his fingers at Huggins.

Soon, the dueling teams of the two sides were decided.

The Muxi Knights sent the "Successor" combat team, and the Claw tribe sent a team of pirate warriors.

Huggins was the first to go out, sword in his right hand and shield in his left, and stepped onto the plank. Standing opposite him was a strong pirate, a whole head taller than the knight, and his muscles were as strong as rocks.

Shocking cheers came from the Talon tribe, and people shouted the names of the gods and the achievements of the warriors.

Morgan walked up to Todd and reminded in a low voice, "Be careful. This is the Jarl, the strongest warrior in the tribe. They are proficient in combat and fearless of death. They often charge at the very end..."

Before Morgan could finish speaking, the battle ended with a scream.

In just 10 seconds, Huggins' long sword pierced through the shield, and pierced directly from the princely warrior's chin to the head.

There was a dead silence.

Morgan couldn't close his jaw in shock: "Oh my god! This power, and this speed! The son of God of War in mythology is nothing more than that..."

Todd clapped his hands and shouted at the dumbfounded Claw Warrior: "How long are you going to be in a daze?! Next!"

In just three rounds, the second warrior had his arm cut off by Hudgens and then stabbed through the chest.

The third person, the fourth person...

One after another Bei Dao samurai, as if walking before a "steel meat grinder", verified a legend with their own lives.

Finally, the seventh pirate, unable to bear such a disparity in strength any longer, jumped off the plank, trying to escape from the duel.

Todd snapped his fingers and pointed forward. The soldiers holding the crossbow pulled the trigger, and the sound of the bow strings bursting through the air. The deserter with dozens of crossbow bolts stuck in his back fell into the mud without even uttering a scream.

Crofts watched the duel of honor with a tense and terrified expression. He quietly found the clansman beside him and whispered something to him. After the latter nodded, he ran to the clan's stable.

"Go on! Do you want to wait until the sun goes down?" Todd shouted dissatisfiedly towards the remaining tribal warriors.

To fight is to die, and to flee is also to die. The eighth person, the ninth person... until the last person, simply proved their courage with their lives.

The corpses of dozens of pirates were lying here and there on the ground. The black soil was stained red with blood. The knights looked like fierce gods who came out of the ancient wilderness, their bodies were covered with minced flesh and blood. The Claw tribe seemed to be avoiding the devil, staying away from the "Blood Knight" in front of them, and even some children in the crowd cried faintly.

Crofts' face was as black as the bottom of a pot, and he said bitterly to Todd, "Guardian of Muxi Town! Are you satisfied? You won the honor duel!"

Todd touched the bridge of his nose, with a strange look on his face, he shook his head and said, "Claw Chief, what are you talking about? The honor duel is still far from over!"

The old man opened his eyes and shouted loudly: "What do you mean?!"

"Just like what I said at the beginning. I want an honor duel. Both sides send an equal number of fighters to fight each other one by one. Either kill all the opponents, or die by yourself, and the companions behind will avenge themselves." Todd stood up from his chair and pointed to everyone in the Muxi Expeditionary Army behind him, including those soldiers, aliens, monks and even cooks: "They are all our fighters participating in the duel, a total of 220 people. Now the Claw tribe has only sent 13 people, and I am still waiting for you Where are the next 207 people!"

Crofts' face instantly turned white, and he finally understood what the other party wanted to do! The patriarch grabbed the wooden pillars around him with trembling hands, supported himself not to fall, and said to Todd in intermittent words: "207 people? How...how is this possible?! There are not so many fighters in the Claw tribe!"

Todd turned his attention to the crowd of the tribe: "Look at these people, sickles, hoes, sticks...Since they choose to take up weapons and stand in front of us, aren't they brave warriors?"

The head of the regiment withdrew his gaze, stared at the earth-colored patriarch, and smiled: "Besides, when it comes to soldiers, doesn't it happen that there is another one in front of me?"

Yesterday, I fell asleep in the middle of the codeword, so I stopped updating. I am really sorry. I will make up the second update today.
