Alien Knights

Chapter 767 Apocalypse Day (4)

After the vehicle overturned, the severe pain caused Clemens to slowly wake up from a coma. When he opened his eyes, he saw a zombie covered in parasites, gnawing on a corpse.

Hearing the movement, the zombie turned its head and screamed at Clemens.

The latter opened his eyes wide and crawled back while groping for anything on the ground that could be used as a weapon.

Good luck struck again, and Clemens touched an M4 assault rifle that fell beside him.

Open the bolt, raise the gun head, and pull the trigger.

The moment the zombie pounced on him, Clemens shot the opponent's head off.

Watching the parasites struggling and twisting on the ground, Clemens carefully walked around them with a gun, and found Liz and Alice in the bushes not far from the scene of the vehicle accident.

Trying to wake them up, Clemens first hugged them, then checked them up and down, and said: "We must leave immediately, it is not safe here."

Hearing the screams of zombies not far away, Liz struggled to get up from the ground, found a backpack of daily necessities, picked up the walkie-talkie on the soldier's body, then took Alice and followed Clemen. Behind Si, he quickly ran towards the woods.

The three of them ran as hard as they could without caring about the direction.

When they stopped, the cries of the walking corpses were inaudible, but the surrounding environment was extremely unfamiliar.

Liz looked at the surrounding forests and mountains and asked, "Where are we?"

Clemens looked around with the gun in his hand. After confirming that the surroundings were safe, he asked Liz: "Are the maps or mobile phones with you?"

Liz shook her head and said, "It's all in the other bag."

Clemens put down the gun and analyzed: "We set off from the Groom Lake base and headed for the Sandstone Airport. Our vehicle drove for about thirty minutes and the speed was about 40 miles per hour."

Clemens raised his head and looked at the distant mountain peaks: "There is only one place with this kind of snow mountain terrain in the suburbs of Las Vegas, in the direction of the Sandstone Airport."

Liz: "Paiute Snow Mountain."

Clemens stood up: "Yes, the roads and towns below the mountain are not safe. Let's walk towards the snow-capped mountains. There is a resort there. We can find water and food there, and even find a car that can start."

After determining the direction, the three of them followed the mountain path and headed towards the snow-capped mountains.

What surprised them was that along the way, the walking corpses were almost extinct.

Liz, who was only wearing an ordinary windbreaker, wrapped the only blanket in her bag around Alice's body.

She and Clemens were shivering from the cold due to the increasingly cold weather.

Stepping on the thin snow, Clemens tried to smile and said: "At least we can't see those monsters."

Liz also forced a smile: "It seems that they don't like the cold."

Alice rubbed her hands, half-closed her eyes, and followed the two of them: "Dad, I'm so cold, so tired, and... I'm hungry."

Clemens touched the top of Alice's head: "I can already see the billboard of the resort. If we go up a little further, we will be able to rest soon."

The three of them faced the cold wind and continued walking up the mountain, finally arriving at a building called "Melvin Ski Hotel".

Clemens motioned to Liz and Alice to wait on the street for a moment while he grabbed his assault rifle and walked around the hotel.

There are no traces of walking corpses, so the area around the hotel should be relatively safe.

Just when Clemens let down his guard and wanted to call others into the hotel.

A long-barreled shotgun was suddenly pressed against his back.

"Drop the gun!"

An old voice came from behind Clemens, instantly making the latter tremble.

Clemens slowly put down the gun and said slowly: "Don't shoot! We are all good people, I can explain everything!"

The old voice sounded again: "A good man actually holds a military firearm? Do you think I am an idiot?"

Liz and Alice heard the sound and ran over in a hurry. They happened to see this scene and couldn't help but scream in fear.

A moment later, an old woman's voice came from the hotel window: "Honey! They are taking the baby!"

The old voice shouted impatiently: "Old woman, shut up, I saw it."

Moving the shotgun away from Clemens' back, the old man known as Honey motioned for the latter to turn around.

First looking at Clemens's face, and then at Alice who was hiding behind Liz, Honey put down the gun, pointed at the door with his chin, and said, "Come in, everyone!"

With an uneasy mood, Clemens took Liz and Alice into the hotel.

An older, fat woman in an apron walked toward them and said to Honey, "They have a child. Don't scare her."

Honey hummed twice, found a sofa in the living room, sat down, and placed the shotgun next to him.

The old woman smiled and said: "I am Vaniya, and this is my husband Honey... He once participated in the Vietnam War, forgive him for being neurotic."

Honey shouted to Clemens: "Just because I let you in doesn't mean I believe you. Tell your story, and remember, don't lie."

Clemens and Liz looked at each other.

Then, Clemens told the old couple exactly what happened in the past few days.

Vaniya covered her mouth and said in surprise: "You mean, a group of monsters ran out in the city center?"

Honey patted the armrest of the sofa and retorted: "He already said that aliens are a group of aliens who want to destroy the earth!"

Clemens said to the old couple: "The infected area is getting bigger, and the number of infected people is increasing. Maybe you should consider coming with us."

"The military has a safe point for evacuation at the Sandstone Airport."

Honey shook his head vigorously: "I won't leave!"

Vaniya smiled and explained: "Both of us have bad legs and feet, so we can't run too far, and this house is all we have. We can't give it up and leave here."

Honey grabbed the shotgun and shook it as if to show off: "I still have this! Anyone who wants to offend must have a taste of my bullets!"

Seeing Alice's body trembling slightly, Vaniya said quickly: "I forgot. You must be tired and hungry after walking such a long way. Let me make something for you."

Honey raised his right hand and shook it vigorously: "Don't forget my wine!"

Vaniya scolded angrily: "Drink less! The doctor has already said that if you continue to drink like this, sooner or later you will go to see God!"

Honey didn't appreciate it at all: "Stop being so verbose!"
