Becoming God of a Dystopian World

Inside the building with the teleportation circle.

Zhao Luo had entered the circle. Brother Sang, Feng Mei, Yan, and Su Shi we're standing next to him in the circle.

The other people who were going to the sect too were entering the circle one by one. They were the ones who had passed the first test of the entrance exam.

After everyone had entered the circle, the Second Elder looked at the porter as the porter nodded at him.

This was the elder's signal to him which was meant to be the start of the teleportation to the sect.

The porter waved his hand on the control rod of the teleportation circles which caused the carvings on the circle to start glowing.

'It's coming.'

Zhao Lup thought as his eyes fell on the erupting shine coming from the carvings of the TP circle.

This was the third time Zhao Luo was going somewhere through this teleportation circle so he already knew that they would be teleported to the sect soon. Zhao Luo was eager to see the sect.

'What will it be like? Hmm.'

Zhao Luo thought as he closed his eyes.

Everyone around him had their eyes closed too except the Second Elder.

"Whoo~oosh."

They all disappeared from there and appeared somewhere else.

The mountain in the middle of the Xin Range. 

Eleven mountains were surrounding it, while ten of them were making a circle that was gradually increasing. Then there was the entry mountain. 

Every mountain had a city at its summit. Zhao Luo had already seen three cities and now this was the moment of his life when he will get to see the fourth city which was most likely the Sect covering the whole summit of the middle mountain.

"Whoo~oosh."

Inside the TPC building of the Sect, the new batch of the trainee disciples had appeared. The Second Elder was leading them. 

"Welcome back Elder Dousan."

The porter said to the Second Elder as he greeted him right after they had teleported on the circle.

"He is wearing a purple robe and also has a black badge."

Zhao Luo said to Brother Luo as he was looking at the porter.

The porter was wearing the same type of robe that Si Chen had given him. But the shocking thing was his badge. It had three lines but they were different than the ones on Si Chen's badge.

The second and third lines were making a V sign but Zhao Luo knew a little so he guessed that the porter was a level 4 black badge.

"This porter is a student from the Xin Sect's Security Hall."

Brother Sang told Zhao Luo so that Zhao Luo doesn't get confused while thinking about it too deeply.

"Hmm."

Zhao Luo wondered about the different halls as he listened to Brother Sang.

'Let's stay away from this one.'

Zhao Luo thought as he looked at the disciple who was acting as a porter just because he belonged to the security hall.

Zhao Luo had already blacklisted the Security Hall.

'I can't waste my time by becoming a porter.'

Zhao Luo had decided to take the Security Hall out of his mind.

"Let's go."

The Second Elder said as he moved towards the exit of the Teleportation Circle Building.

Everyone was following behind him. As the Elder left the building with everyone.

Zhao Luo who was behind the elder looked around him right after exiting the building.

"Wow."

Zhao Luo exclaimed as he could only see halls and palaces everywhere around him.

There were countless of them in his sight.

Some were majestic while others looked quite ordinary. They were like the two sides of a coin.

"Welcome to the Xin Sect."

The Second Elder announced in a calm manner when everyone had gathered around outside of the TPC building.

Zhao Luo felt as if a cold wind had passed through him when he had heard the elder's announcement. The power in his voice was so soothing that his whole body had lost the eagerness he was feeling before.

"Forget who you were before coming to Xin Sect."

The Second Elder's tone had changed. The Second Elder spoke to them in a commanding tone like he was ordering them to forget their identity.

Zhao Luo listened to the elder very attentively.

He didn't have much attachment to his past anyway so it wasn't hard for him.

The same goes for the people around him. 

Zhao Luo looked around and he could see the clear eyes of the cute Feng Mei and the beauty Su Shi who were starting at the second elder. Yan was the same as them too. She was already hiding her identity so she was already a step ahead of everyone here.

'Where did Brother Sang go?'

Zhao Luo thought as he looked around but he could find Brother Sang anywhere. 

"Everyone may have a different reason behind their wish to be in the Xin Sect but everyone has the same goal. That is to become the strongest among your peers or at least strong enough to protect your people."

The Second Elder was giving a powerful speech while looking at the twenty examinees who had passed the entrance exam.

Everyone was immersed in the momentary lecture of the second elder as the elder would give them time after every one of his statements.

'Why don't they have any questions?'

Elder Dousan thought as he had stopped after telling them a very powerful statement. This could just be the motivation behind their journey to strength. But the problem was he had stopped three times but these lazy newbies hadn't even asked him a single question.

The second elder was waiting while letting them digest what he had told them when he noticed that one of them was looking very serious.

If it was someone else then the second elder wouldn't even have taken notice of him but this was Zhao Luo.

'What could be troubling this young man?'

The second elder thought.

Zhao Luo went into this state of confusion after hearing the elder's last line.

'I am not here to become the strongest among my peers. Neither am I trying to be 'just' strong enough to protect my people.'

Zhao Luo thought as his vision went over Feng Mei and the others.

Zhao Luo looked at the second elder.

"Elder is it possible to become the strongest in the whole Xin Sect?"

Zhao Luo asked the elder.

He decided that this would be his first step toward his goal. He wanted to know if he could achieve it while staying in the Xin Sect. He already had the mind of a Crimson God so how could he be happy by becoming the Strongest only among his peers. 

"Hahaha."

The Second Elder started laughing as he listened to Zhao Luo's question. 

The other disciples around Zhao Luo started laughing too as they were mocking him.

Zhao Luo had never been calmer in his life. He knew that elder wasn't a person who would make fun of others but these people misunderstood the reason behind the mysterious laugh of the Second Elder.

"Hmm."

Feng Mei was looking angrily at the people who were laughing because of Zhao Luo's, remembering their faces as she clenched her little fists.

"Silence."

The Second Elder shouted causing everyone to close their mouth.

He looked at the lot who were laughing at Zhao Luo with a smirk on his old face.

"Who allowed you to laugh? Huh."

The Elder was very displeased by their behavior.

Nobody had enough courage to answer the elder's question.

'It's my fault for going easy on them in the first test. Sigh.'

The elder thought as he sighed and looked at Zhao Luo.

"Young man do you know what life is?"

The Second Elder asked Zhao Luo instead of answering his question.

Zhao Luo had many answers to this question but he chose to remain quiet.

"Life is a dream."

The Elder said slowly. 

This confused many but some were still listening to the second elder.

"This dream will only last till death decides to wake you up from it."

The elder stopped as he solely focused on Zhao Luo.

"If you can't even dream about your goals in your life then how will you achieve them before death visits you?"

The elder asked as he was looking at everyone now.

This answer made them realize their mistakes as the ones who were laughing at Zhao Luo looked at him. 

'He isn't just dashingly handsome but also daring too. A perfect man.'

A girl thought.

She was from amongst the new disciples who were looking at Zhao Luo.

"Young man, you already know my answer. Since you have already dreamed about it then you can just give your best to achieve it."

The Second Elder said with a smile that he could shake off.

Even he hadn't become the strongest and he knew that he couldn't achieve it now.

'If only I was like him before.'

The Second Elder thought as he could see his shadow from Zhao Luo but Zhao Luo had everything that the Younger version of Dousan was missing.

"Thank you Elder. I feel like nothing's impossible now."

Zhao Luo showed his gratitude to the elder.

His mind was clear as spring water and he had his eyes on the first step towards his goal.

"I will become the strongest in the Xin Sect."

Zhao Luo announced to everyone there.

The Second Elder looked shocked. He didn't know that his answer would be such an effect on the young man.

The other disciples were looking shocked as well.

"Who is this mad man?"

One of the new disciples said. In reality, the other also agreed with him that Zhao Luo was a mad man.

While everyone was looking shocked. 

Three people had smiles on their faces.

They were standing not very far away from the group which was outside the teleportation circle building.

It was Brother Sang who was joined by Si Chen and Rose.
