Biohuman

717 Trapped School VII

"Ahh, how the hell do we get out?!?" Evan shouted. He and Olivia had tried to pull Lee Seng out of the way but his Negative was too much for them to handle. "Can't your friend help us? This is a help everyone situation and I'd appreciate it if we could get some help!"

"What's that?" Alex's eyes moved from the gym's surroundings to the door. Ritsuka panted as he rounded the corner. He was covered in dust as a black trail followed him.

"Hey! I'm here! W-what's going on?" Ritsuka asked as he ran into the gymnasium.

"Great, you're here! He's too heavy!" Olivia grunted. Ritsuka moved up to his friends and looked at Lee Seng, who was passed out.

"What did he do?" Ritsuka moved the void underneath Lee Seng. Lee Seng sank into the void as Ritsuka looked at the others. "Get in."

"What about—"

"Don't worry about us! Get out!" Liz's voice came over the comms. "Try to get as much people out as possible."

What should we do then? Find others?" Olivia asked. She looked over at Alex, who was twitching. The building groaned in his ears. His eyes followed the noises, trying to discern if anyone else was nearby.

"I found a couple of people on the way here." Ritsuka answered.

"We should find more if we can." Evan told them.

"Watch out!" Alex shouted, looking up. A large piece of the ceiling flew down at them. Evan projected his shield upwards as everyone through their arms up to shield themselves. It was at this moment, Olivia felt nauseous. She clutched her mouth as she leaned forwards. "Liv, what's wrong?" Alex rushed over to her.

"I-I'm… fine… I think." Olivia told him.

"I knew I should've been more worried about you!" Evan shouted. "The adrenaline kept you up! You should rest!"

"I-I'm fin—" Blood splattered out of Olivia's nose and mouth. Her body dropped as her eyes blurred. Alex grabbed her and set her down.

"You're not okay!" Alex told her.

"Put her in the void." Ritsuka motioned. "We don't got time." Alex looked at Olivia, who was completely out of it.

"Just do it…" Olivia told Alex. "I'll be safe in there…"

"Are you sure?" Alex asked. Olivia grabbed his hand and nodded at him. She coughed and weakly looked at the void.

"Ritsuka… Help." Olivia weakly motioned. Ritsuka moved over and looked at Alex. "Don't…"

"I wasn't going to do anything." Ritsuka replied before she could finish. "Let's get you in." Alex and Ritsuka moved Olivia into the void and watched her disappear. Evan grunted as he managed to push the debris off. The debris hit the floor with a loud crack as the three boys turned their attention to the exit.

"What now?" Evan asked. "Do we find the others?" Evan looked to Alex, who was already looking elsewhere.

"I think I hear them." Alex whispered. Without warning, Alex ran out of the gymnasium, leaving Evan and Ritsuka behind.

"Hey!" Evan shouted, following after.

Ritsuka and Evan turned right out of the gym, avoiding the crumbling building. Debris littered across the halls, stopping the two from getting any further as Alex quickly moved through the debris.

"What do we do?" Evan asked. "It's suicide!" Ritsuka grabbed Evan and pulled him into the Void. The chaos within the void was already growing. Miss Emory was trying to hush the kids while a couple students watched Olivia rest near Lee Seng.

"What's going on?" A student asked. "When can we get out of here?"

"Not yet." Ritsuka told them. "We have to find the others before the school cave's in." Ritsuka Obsidian Glass appeared in his hands and started to glow bright purple. He plunged it forward into the darkness, watching it sink. "Now the fun part." Ritsuka raised his arms, letting the void grow onto him. With a single step, the whole space started to shift forward.

Ritsuka navigated through the school, occasionally moving up a wall instead of turning. With some help from Evan and the map, Ritsuka moved through the school, occasionally checking the portal above to see if they were in a safe spot to look around. Ritsuka would peek, check for anyone and if there wasn't anyone, he would continue.

Ritsuka did this many times, slowly gathering the last remnants of students and teachers until he couldn't find anyone else.

"Where's Alex?" Evan asked. Ritsuka descended back to his original spot and shrugged. He lifted his arms up and turned them right.

"I don't know. I can't find them. The place is caving in, so we're getting out." Ritsuka answered.

"But what if he's… stuck in here?"

"I don't know how much longer I can hold this much people in this space. " Ritsuka looked at Evan. Ritsuka's face was pale and his veins were starting to turn balck.

"Ritsuka, are you… okay?" Evan asked, taking a step forward.

"I'm… I'm fine. I can handle this until we get out." Ritsuka weakly reassured Evan. Ritsuka pushed the void through the debris and walls and eventually found himself outside. The portal above glowed an orange color as Ritsuka stopped and sucked in a breath. He pulled his arms out and Obsidian Glass. He plunged the sword into the ground and twisted. The void space shifted as Ritsuka grabbed the sword with both hands and started to pull up.

Slowly, the floor shifted upwards as the portal widened. The group rose up on the earth floor, watching the black void disappear. They were all outside. Voices grew loud around them as Ritsuka fell to the ground with his sword.

"Ritsuka!" Evan shouted, rushing over to his friend. "Ritsuka!"

"We-we're out?" Miss Emory asked. The young children cried as Emory comforted them. Evan shouted Ritsuka's name as he shook him. Ritsuka's veins pulsed with a dark energy. Obsidian Glass vanished.

"He's out." Evan whispered.

"Evan!" Liz shouted. Evan looked around and noticed Liz was running towards her. "Evan!"

"Liz!" Evan stood up and waved. Liz glanced at Ritsuka and then around.

"Where'd all these people come from?" Liz asked. "It's crazy to think this many people disappeared. Are they okay?"

"Most of them were uninjured but Ritsuka, Lee Seng and Olivia took some massive hits." Evan motioned. Olivia coughed as she laid next to Lee Seng. She weakly watched him, trying to see if he was still breathing.

"Liv!" Liz shouted, running over with Evan. "Are you okay?" She knelt down next to Olivia, who let out another fury of coughs.

"I… I'm fine." Olivia answered. "Rest and… I'll be okay… But Lee Seng… Is he… Is he breathing?" Evan knelt beside Lee Seng and checked his pulse.

"He's fine." Evan reassured her. "We should get a healer to you. Where's Manny?"

"Out." Liz replied. "His Negative kicked in and he became 'feral.'"

"Feral?"

"I'm not sure what it is, but I think his new power is affecting him."

"What do we do now? Three of them are out of commission. We still haven't found the person who's behind this, again." Evan asked.

"Again? You came across them?" Liz raised an eyebrow. Evan nodded. A loud whooshing noise grew. The school crumbled as students began to panic. Evan manifested his kinetic shield and slammed it into the ground. A large wall flew up arcing over the entire group. Evan grunted as a dust storm flew through.

A scream echoed as Liz and Evan turned to look behind them. A loud repeated stabbing noise grew as a body dropped. Blood spilled from the dagger as a sigh escaped the humanoid's mouth.

"W-what're you doing… Tyrone?" Alex asked as blood spurted out of his stab wounds. Tyrone stood with an annoyed look in his face. He flicked the blood off the dagger and wiped it.

"Shouldn't you be worrying about yourself, Biohuman?" Tyrone asked. Alex's eyes narrowed.

"W-what? D-don't tell me—"

"You know!" Tyrone lifted Alex off the floor. Screams grew around them as Tyrone stared straight into Alex's soul. He lifted the dagger towards Alex's heart and smiled. "What do you say, Alex? Join them and they could give you so much power! All of these students were supposed to be the cost! They will join a revolution that will change the human race as a whole! And we can go further than anyone has ever gone!"

"W-what're you talking about, T-Tyrone?" Alex managed to let out through ragged breaths and grunts. Alex clutched at Tyrone's hands. A bolt of psionic lightning flew out at Tyrone as a wall of acid absorbed the attack.

"Shame. You should've just stayed in your lane. Stop looking for Hayley. She's not here anymore." Tyrone moved his arm to plunge the dagger into Alex's heart, but at the last second the dagger dismantled into nothing. Tyrone's fist flew into Alex's chest as purple lightning arced around the acidic wall and hit Tyrone.

Alex dropped to the ground with a loud thud as a frenzy of panic grew. Students ran for their lives as Tyrone shook off the lightning. He turned, pulling the acid away as Olivia's arm dropped.
