719 One Sided Love

Alex's screams made Olivia panic even more. The person she had spent so much time with was now hurting in front of her. Her ragged breaths were telling her to stop, but Olivia's mind was steel. She pushed through the pain and forced herself up.

"You should learn to give in! Learn to give up, you piece of shit!" Jordan screamed. His foot went into Alex over and over. Alex grew bloody as Olivia's head finally looked up. Through her blurry sight, she could see Jordan kicking Alex. Alex had quickly grown silent as Jordan continued to kick him.

"Stop… it." Olivia weakly spoke.

"Hm? I can't hear you. Say it again!" Jordan asked, sending another kick into Alex. Tyrone glanced at Alex and then to Jordan. Jordan had put Alex to the brink of death.

"Just kill him. He's as good as dead." Tyrone suggested. Jordan smiled and turned his attention onto Olivia.

"I want him to hear her die first." Jordan told Tyrone. "Only then, can this numbskull die." Jordan took a single step as Olivia's voice rose.

"Stop it." Olivia spoke. "Stop the madness, you dick!"

"Dick?" Jordan smiled. "So, I guess you have some fight in you."

"You bastards!" Olivia threw her hand up at Jordan. Jordan's entire body froze instantly as Olivia's hand dropped onto Liz. Tyrone glanced at Jordan and laughed.

"How's it going?" Tyrone asked. Jordan snarled. His body shook as he broke out of the Dismantle hold. The blood scent flew up and filled Jordan's nose. Olivia was asking to die. Jordan marched over to Olivia, kicking Liz away as he grabbed Olivia's hair and yanked her away. Olivia's foot slid across Lee Seng's hand, pulling it up a couple feet. She screamed as Jordan threw her closer to Alex.

"I'll kill you like this! Then you two can think twice about reincarnating and trying to be lovers in the next life!" Jordan screamed. He flexed his claws as he went in for the plunge. Evan screamed, rushing over to Olivia as Tyrone simply looked and shot a ball of acid. The acid slammed against the shield, instantly melting it and burning Evan's arm. Evan screamed in pain as Tyrone launched another ball of acid. The acid hit Evan on the left shoulder, sending him into a blaze of pain. He fell to the ground as Tyrone gathered another ball of acid.

"Noo!" Liz shouted. "Nooo! Stop it!" Electricity coursed through her body as Tyrone tossed the acid over to her. It splashed onto her back, sending her into a blaze of pain. She screamed as she tried to move her body.

'Listen to me!' Liz screamed in her head.

"Listen to me!" Liz shouted.

[The Deimons are here.]

[It's time to eradicate them.]

Lee Seng's body surged in energy as tendrils whipped outwards. It wrapped itself around Lee Seng's body as he floated in the sky. Lee Seng's unconscious body had drawn Tyrone and Jordan to it.

"What the hell is that?" Jordan asked.

"Don't care. Kill him." Tyrone replied. Jordan smiled and nodded.

"As you wish." Jordan rushed forward, extending his arms outwards as he readied himself for an attack. A tendril shot out at Jordan, who slashed at it. It exploded into tiny bits of tendril-y worms. The worms splattered across Jordan's body before regrowing. Another tendril flew out, wrapping itself around Jordan's neck and tightening. Jordan gasped as his claws rose to swipe at the tendril. The tendril easily ripped, releasing the grasp.

"You asshole! I'll kill you first!" Jordan jumped into the air, pulling his right hand back. "Bloodthirsty Dive!"

[Eradicate them. Regain yourself.]

Lee Seng's eyes shot open as he quickly whipped himself onto his feet. He spun in the air, lifting his right hand, and watching Jordan's claws pierce his hand. The two energies shook the ground as Lee Seng looked at Jordan. Jordan bared his teeth at Lee Seng as he swung his other hand at him. Lee Seng grabbed it, tightening his hand around it as he tilted his head.

"I'll fucking kill you! I'll gouge your eyeballs out and make you eat them!" Jordan shouted. His hands slowly pushed back towards him as Lee Seng's arms extended outwards. Tendrils whipped around Lee Seng, binding him to the dark gray suit. A golden light flared and for a moment, Jordan saw a glimpse of Lee Seng's true form – the Fox Spirit.  "Wha—"

Lee Seng repelled Jordan with a single blink. Jordan crashed through the forest trees, going further and further away from Lee Seng. Lee Seng turned to Tyrone, who was already flinging acid at him. Lee Seng watched the acid soar through the sky and immediately stop a couple feet away from him.

"What the hell are you?" Tyrone asked, flinging more acid. "First you take off in the sky with your friends and the next you look like an Eldritch horror." Lee Seng raised his right hand and made a flicking motion. The acid flew back to Tyrone, splashing on him. A smile grew on his face. "Acid doesn't affect me. I'm sure you have enough brain cells to know that."

Lee Seng pulled a tendril and crushed it. Tiny worms shook as he dropped one on Liz and Olivia. He threw one at Ritsuka and then tossed one towards Tyrone. Tyrone swatted at it, missing the next worm that sailed past him.

"What're you doing?" Tyrone asked. "These things are harmless. You couldn't possibly do anything with these."

"What do you want me to do?" Lee Seng asked. The worm landed on the ground and slowly slithered its way over to Evan. "Show no mercy for what you did to your friends? To mine? 'An eye for an eye?' Should I do that?" Lee Seng lifted his right fingers into a fist and looked at it before looking back at Tyrone. The tiny amount of amethyst in Lee Seng's eyes shimmered enough for Tyrone to understand the situation. Tyrone took a step back, clearly understanding who this was in front of him.

"I guess you know who I am." Lee Seng floated over Olivia and Liz, tilting his head to see the last worm make its way to Evan. He opened his right hand and watched as tendrils surrounded it. "But I don't know who you are. What are you? A Deimon or something in-between?" Lee Seng flashed forward, releasing the tendrils in his right hand at Tyrone. The tendrils flew forward, passing Tyrone as they wrapped around his neck. The tendrils squeezed as Lee Seng pulled, dropping Tyrone to his knees. Tyrone clawed at his throat as the tendrils tightened.

"What are you?" Lee Seng asked. "You're not entirely a Deimon, but you reek like one." Tyrone gasped as Lee Seng extended his left two fingers at his side. "Answer that and I can attempt to help you."

"Y-you're a… Perfect Singular." Tyrone giggled. "One who… overpowered… The Deimon…. And became…" Tyrone croaked as the tendrils tightened.

"You're faking." Lee Seng pulled the tendrils and watched the tendrils melt away. Lee Seng slashed the tendrils with his two fingers and continued to hold them at his side. "Your entire body is acidic. What in the world did you do to yourself?" Tyrone laughed as the tendrils disappeared from his neck.

"Are you in a position to ask questions?" Tyrone asked. A loud roar echoed from the forest. In an instant, Jordan was in front of Lee Seng. A fist flew at Lee Seng faster than he could react, sending him straight into the school. A white puff of smoke billowed in the air as debris spilled around Lee Seng. Jordan flashed forward, howling as his form began to shift more into a wolf.

"Wolf Spirit, guide me! Howling Abyss!" Dark blue and purple energy reverberated from Jordan's snout. The rocks and smoke shook as the energy poured into Jordan's claws. Jordan raised his right hand up and looked at Lee Seng with a cocky smile. "I guess you really weren't anything special, you— What're you doing?" Lee Seng held his left hand up. His index and middle fingers were pointed upwards as blood spilled from his head. "Argh, another prank! Die!"

[Ritsuka Yamada, Olivia Ok, Liz Walt, and Evan Trainor have successfully paired with the strand. Damion Valentin's body hasn't. Would you like to still go through with this?]

"Mutate." Lee Seng whispered. The worms disappeared into the bodies of Lee Seng's friends as Jordan released a blast of energy straight into Lee Seng's face. Smoke exploded all around them as Jordan listened to Lee Seng disappear in the rubble.

"Hmph, Perfect Singular?" Jordan whispered. "He wasn't anything like she said they would be like. This one recently just turned a while ago, no? He doesn't feel worthy of that title. I will boast I killed one. Yes, then they'll have to take me and make me into a full Deimon!" Jordan turned around and made his way down to the bottom of the rubble. He pushed through the smoke and noticed Tyrone was staring at the three bodies in between them.

"What's wrong? Did he spook you?" Jordan asked. A surge of confidence had made its way into Jordan, and he was feeling good. Now all he had to do was kill Olivia next to Alex and let the carnage continue! Tyrone suspiciously continued to stare at Olivia and her two friends.

"Did he do anything before you killed him?" Tyrone asked.

"He didn't do anything. He just said a single word and died like a poor bastard." Jordan answered. "Why? Are you scared he's not dead?"
