Biohuman

981 To the Death (2)

A third eye opened up on Son's forehead. He floated in the air as another set of arms grew on him. Six tendril-like wings sprouted from his back, creating bone-like feathers along the tendril. Son cracked a smile and looked at Lee Seng. Lee seng flew across the black void room, slamming into a wall.

Ritsuka fell from the ceiling, going straight for Son. With a loud scream, Ritsuka pointed Obsidian Glass straight for Son, only to watch him freeze in the air.

"Hmph." Son glanced at Ritsuka. His tendril-bone wings fully expanded outwards. A tendril-bone wing pointed itself at Ritsuka. "It's over."  The tendril-bone wing plunged itself into Ritsuka, spilling blood.

"Ri-Rituska…!" Lee Seng gasped. Ritsuka gritted his teeth and smiled.

"I haven't shown you this one, yet… huh?" Ritsuka asked Lee Seng. Black and blue energy gathered around Ritsuka. Son pushed the tendril-bone deeper, trying to stop him.

"What're you doing?" Son asked. Three more tendrils flew into Son, impaling Ritsuka.

"My soul burns bright…" Ritsuka slowly lifted Obsidian Glass up. Son plunged a tendril into Ritsuka's arm. "Soul Weapon Release." Ritsuka's energy swelled to the highest point, releasing strikes all around without moving his weapon.

Son howled as he pulled away. Lee Seng watched as a black smoke fell from the sky and shouted, "Ritsuka!" He tried to move, but his body wouldn't! Ritsuka's energy physically manifested, shaking the entire place. Darkness pulled into Ritsuka, swirling and covering its master. A sigh of relief broke the heavy space.

Ritsuka tore through the shadows, revealing a much larger sword. The darkness clung onto him like it was pieces of clothing. All of the excess energy flew into Ritsuka, lighting the blade of the large sword. Blue Earthen runes covered the blade. Lee Seng could easily identify them.

Warrior, power, defensive duelist, energy master. These were some of the runes inscribed on Ritsuka's large sword.

"Tch, a power up?" Son asked as his tendril-bone wings regrew. "What're you gonna do with that? Beat me?" Ritsuka swung the large sword in the air, watching it grow. Son grabbed the sword with two hands and held it in place. Darkness tore off Ritsuka's body and surged up his arm and onto his sword, blasting Son. Son's two hands moved backwards, feeling the darkness creep onto him and sink itself into him.

Son blasted Ritsuka away, forcing the Biohuman to deal with the weight of his sword. Ritsuka easily shifted the weight of his sword and rushed forward.

'He can run with that huge thing?!?' Son thought. He raised his hand and pushed down onto Ritsuka. Gravity intensified and Ritsuka slowed. He gritted his teeth and continued forward. Son weaved two of his hands together, conjuring a ball of condensed gravity. 'How's this possible? I cranked it up to four times and he's still moving like he's just slowed!'

// Soul Release: A Yamada clan technique that allows the user to conjure the next step in their Soul Art. In this case, Ritsuka's 'Obsidian Glass' changed into a large sword with many mixed benefits of his different weapons. //

Ritsuka swung his sword, slowly, pooling the harsh gravity into the sword. Everything around him lifted and his sword moved faster. He screamed as the sword knocked into Son and sent him into the wall parallel to Lee Seng.

Lee Seng gasped as he fell from the sky, stumbling. Water blasted through the door, slamming into the opposing wall as Calis, Evan and Keng entered. The water swirled around Son, fighting to trap him. Son's body automatically kept the water at bay with the gravitational aura that swirled around him.

'This won't be enough.' Lee Seng thought.

"Are you okay?" Keng asked, coming to Lee Seng's side. Lee Seng nodded, using Keng to stand straight.

"Connect." Lee Seng told Keng. Keng nodded and put his palm out to the others. "Hold him down. Tire him out. His form makes him have more avenues to kill us. Don't hold back, got it?" Lee Seng's teammates nodded and Calis moved forward, grabbing a tattoo and tossing it at the waters. The black tattoo swirled around the waters, binding with it.

Son's four hands flew up, pushing against the water. The waters exploded and Son watched Keng appear before him.

"Yo," Keng summoned and swung Hydrosphere. Son's gravitation aura made Keng miss. "Gravitational aura… Too bad I know how to fight against myself." Silver runes ignited where Keng swiped. Keng moved backwards, watching the gravitational aura break.

'Shit, I gotta get outta here before—"'

"Hold it right there." Evan stuck his hand out. Kinetic energy froze in a variety of colors. Ritsuka rushed through the water opening, swinging his large sword downwards. Son gritted his teeth and watched the blade strike him down. The water crashed inwards, slamming against Son as Ritsuka pulled away.

'As easy as that…?' Son wondered. 'No! I won't allow it!' The tendril-bone wings sunk into Son's body. Son's hands pointed forward, releasing all of the energy in front of him. The waters with the black tattoos exploded, sending everything away from him. He touched his fingers together, creating two triangles and smiled at Lee Seng and Keng.

"This is goodbye. Total Destruction!"

The entire room exploded in tendrils. The tendrils whipped around, breaking everything with ease. Lee Seng pushed Keng away towards the others, taking the brunt of the damage. The tendrils slammed into him, wrapping around him and squeezing him tightly.

"Lee!" Keng rushed over, only to be met with a row of tendrils. They blocked his path. Calis and Ritsuka kept the tendrils around them at bay, looking over to Son.

"We're gonna be crushed at this rate!" Evan shouted. He moved past Ritsuka and Calis and let his shield enlarge.

"Keng!" Lee Seng shouted. "Protect the group!"

"What about—"

"Don't worry about me! Protect them! Find Brood Mother! I'll be right behind you!"

"But—"

"Just do it!" Lee Seng shouted. Keng turned and grabbed the others, leading them away from the fight.

"You're going to kill Mother?" Son pulled Lee Seng closer. "You barely did anything to me. How are you going to kill Mother? With your words?" Son chuckled. The tendrils squeezed Lee Seng tighter. He felt like he was going to pop like a balloon.

"It'd be nice if I could… talk to your Mother just right." Lee Seng smiled. Son's smile faded. "Maybe I'll get her to love me and stop all of this. She's just a woman who got hurt, right? I'm a fixer."

"Stop it. That's nasty!" Son pulled Lee Seng close to his face and poked at Lee Seng with his two left index fingers. "You are me. I am you. That would make everything more—"

"Beautiful." Lee Seng smiled. Son screamed and punched Lee Seng in the face. "I'll make her not be able to look at you the same way. You'll be tossed aside and I'll make her happy with a child of her own that doesn't use someone else."

Son screamed and punched harder. Lee Seng took the beating, healing from Son's hits. Son's words were indiscernible. Lee Seng could feel the tendrils loosening around him. Son's anger was the key.

"And once I do that, maybe I'll get you to fall in love with me… I'll twist your mind and make your Mother jealous… and you two… you two will fight to the death." Lee Seng smirked. Son's last fuse blew up, totally releasing the tendrils. He swung his right fist and watched as Lee Seng snatched it.

"W-what…? How did you—" Son stammered. Lee Seng squeezed Son's fist, breaking it in an instant. "Ahhh!" Son swung left fist, watching as the exact outcome happened, again. Son pushed Lee Seng away with him with his lower arms.

"Burn the evil away, Sword of Freedom." Lee Seng whispered, summoning the golden sword. He thrusted the sword forwards, missing Son as the Failed One disappeared. The Sword of Freedom embedded itself into the wall, leaving Lee Seng's back open.

"Tendril Rush!" Son shouted. Tendrils exploded out of the ground and rushed straight to Lee Seng. Lee Seng plucked the sword out of the wall with ease and spun around, swinging the sword. Flames ignited against the tendrils, burning them away. Son rushed forward, summoning his sword and swinging downwards at Lee Seng.

Lee Seng blocked the attack, feeling the pressure push down on him. Son's eyes widened. He had finally realized what Keng had done to him.

"What?" Lee Seng asked. "Something wrong?" He pushed the Failed One's sword away and swung at Son, carving an attack into him. Son tried to run.

'Something's wrong.' Son thought as he turned away from Lee Seng. 'They did something to me and I-I can't—' Lee Seng stabbed the Sword of Freedom into Son's stomach. It burned Son's insides.

"Dissolve." Lee Seng spoke the rune aloud in Fox tongue. He switched to English as he whispered into Son's ear. "You know what's the difference between me and my brother? He can conjure runes at will. I, on the other hand, have all of the firepower." Lee Seng pulled the sword out of Son and kicked him to the ground. He wandered over to the left side of Son and kicked one of his arms away.

Lee Seng pointed his sword down onto Son and sighed. He plunged the sword into Son's back, sinking the blade through the heart and onto the ground. Son's head slowly turned. He muttered something and let out a chuckle before his eyes began to shut. Lee Seng crouched and leaned in.

"Why… is life… so unfair…?" Son asked. Son's last breath escaped his mouth with his question, leaving Lee Seng alone. Lee Seng stood up and pulled the sword out of Son's back and watched the remnants of tendrils fade away. A few seconds went by. Lee Seng started to make his way out of the broken room when he heard it.

"My baby!" Mother shrieked. The entire space began to shake. Broken walls and floors began to shake while debris started to float. "My baby!" Son's body lit up, turning into pure energy. It lifted off the ground and flew straight through Lee Seng, moving out of the door and down the hall.
