Bored Gamer in Other Worlds

930 Chapter 930 Back to Life

The bath was quick and soon enough our bored gamer was facing a full sized mirror that he conjured from out of nothing.

He had a hunch that he can make a quick run on this world since he was practically an omnipotent being right now. The title of Eternal Ruler was definitely not just for show.

He got this feeling for only 1 minute and no more.

"FUCK ME!" Clark curse at himself. What was reflected in the mirror was a 5 foot flat young man that was as thin as a twig.

More than that, he also possessed a naturally funny face that was a strong magnet for bullies and the like.

"Let me tweak my physical appearance a bit." Our bored gamer decided and would have turned into the embodiment of superman in an instant.

"Ahhhh… just my luck. You really are making it hard for me this time, partner. How could you be so heartless?" Clark could not help but smile at this turn of events.

He realized that he could not alter his physical traits at all.

"I would love to overcome this challenge very much. A hundred is not good enough. Bring it on!" Our bored gamer was not fazed at all but has instead been livid with vigor from the task at hand.

* * *

"Wow! Isn't that Brodie Henderson?"

"How long has it been since he last entered this campus?"

"It's been ages! What the fuck is he doing here?! Is he lost?!" A chorus of gossip followed the footsteps of our very own protagonist.

He had just parked the latest car model of Dominion which was one of the most expensive rides today. It was obvious that the dearly departed original Brodie was not lacking in the financial aspect of things.

He was loaded and set for life but alas, a series of bad decisions has forced him to an early end.

"…" Our bored gamer treated everyone like a ghost. He neither responded nor was he annoyed about how things were. The short walk in the campus was refreshing indeed.

It had been a long time for when he had seen an institution for learning especially something like this world that was devoid of any magic or sorcery.

"I wonder why I am given a nigh omnipotent power when I'm just in a mortal world. Are there any demons out that needed vanquishing in the end?" Clark muttered under his breath.

Nevertheless, he did not let this curiosity linger. His time would have been much better spent completing this additional quest more than any other thing that he could do at the moment.

He walked deeper into the campus and it did not take long for him to meet an acquaintance along the road.

"Hey there, Brad! How you doing?!" Our good gamer waved at someone in the side.

This someone was crowded with friends and enemies alike which indicated well enough that he was someone very popular in the school.

His handsome looks alone and natural charisma would be the easy reason for such a thing to happen.

"Brodie?" Brad frowned in question. He could not believe his eyes at all. There were bad rumors hanging around Brodie Henderson in the past and some of them were even verified through pictures and videos.

Nevertheless, Brad could never deny that Brodie was one of his closest friends back then when they were still little until senior high school.

This was because their families were great acquaintances and both belonged to the old rich in the city.

"Yup! You're eyes are really not playing tricks on you. I've come back from the dead." Clark gave a chuckle even though it was an ugly one.

He could not blame himself but only the body that his soul resided at the moment. His voice sounded extremely high pitched which made it sound unnatural and weird.

"I'm glad to hear that, Brodie. Welcome back." Brad smiled and did not just stop there. He offered a fist bump which our very own protagonist answered with a one of his own.

They may have not seen each other for a long long time but it was hard to break the strong bond between them. This friendship was created over years and years of laughter and play.

"We're happy to see you again, Brodie!"

"My man! You are a legend!"

"Brad has told us many good thing about you."

"How are you?"

.

..

The minions around Brad stated fake words but Clark smiled and nodded at them all the same. Alas, every single one of them mattered little in the long run.

But the same could not be said to Brad King at all. Our bored gamer knew that this friend of his could help him very much in finishing his quest.

"So what's your status today? Are you back in freshman year?" Brad asked since he was honestly concerned for his old friend.

He was already in his senior year of college but Brodie dropped out years ago. This was why he feared for the worst that could happen and that was his friend starting back at zero.

"Nope. I'm on my 2nd year already. My professors were kind enough to credit the courses I took before I got crazy with my vices." Clark replied.

He was more than surprised with how kind teachers in this place were indeed. But when he realized that his parents were one of the biggest donators in campus, everything became understandable.

"That's good to know, Brodie. I'm p…" Brad would have told about how proud he was of his friend but alas, a merciless interruption stopped him on his tracks.

"It's almost 9 o'clock, Brad. We gotta go. Miss Fabiana hates late comers above all." A student rushed on the side.

"Go on, buddy. I'll see you around later on." Clark nodded with a smile. It was good to have true friends like Brad. They were extremely hard to find no matter what world he was in.
