Chatty Hollywood

Chapter 134: 1 Wall

"Depp is so handsome here!"

Looking at the big screen, Bonnie Clyde continued to express his infatuation,

"Even though he was playing a cheating doctor, I didn't think he did anything wrong at all. No, it's because Winona Ryder was put on old makeup!"

She suddenly realized something,

"Damn director!"

So, poor Charlotte was shot.

"But why, besides Depp, do I think the little boy in the boys' dormitory at the beginning is so cute?"

Bonnie Clyde pondered,

"Why didn't I notice such a potential character before?"

*********

"Ah sneeze!"

Tobey Maguire sneezed.

"What's wrong? Are you feeling uncomfortable?"

Helena Münster, who was sitting next to him, asked with concern.

"I'm fine!"

Toby smiled at the girl who was half a head taller than him.

They were also watching the premiere of "Happy Death Day" in the theater.

To the previous internal preview, Toby and other actors with insufficient status were not invited in order to keep it confidential.

In fact, with the exception of Charlize and Jodie Foster, none of the other cast members in "Happy Death Day" had seen the movie before its premiere.

This also made Toby full of curiosity about this film in which he played the leading role for the first time.

——Even though "Happy Death Day" is a movie with a major female protagonist, his presence as the male protagonist is only slightly stronger than that of an ordinary supporting role.

He originally wanted to invite his good brother Leonardo to accompany him to the premiere, but unfortunately the latter is currently filming on the set.

Although he could also invite other male friends, Nick Schleiden, whom he met on the set of "Happy Death Day," is a good choice.

However, it was so pathetic to finally watch a movie in which I starred, but I didn’t even have a female companion.

So, after much thought, Toby finally invited Helena Münster.

Helena is also an actress on the set of "Happy Death Day".

Unlike Toby, who was basically cast by the director, Helena was chosen through an open audition.

She plays the role of Luoli, the roommate of the heroine Cui.

Although not particularly beautiful, Helena is a warm and cheerful girl, and Toby is very fond of her. But when I think about the role she plays...

Toby felt hairy all over again.

It can only be said that director Charlotte’s pressure on the set was too strong!

Although he is not the kind of hair dryer who loses his temper at every turn or a tyrant on the set, but being stared at by those deep black eyes will make many people shiver.

In particular, he seems to have a strange ability to force actors into the scene——

During the filming break, when the actors chatted with each other, they would think of each other's characters from time to time.

Charlotte, the director, seems to forcefully pour the character's information into everyone's minds.

This is certainly a good thing for the filming itself. But for actors, that's not necessarily the case.

The actors appeared to be too involved in the drama to varying degrees.

Toby's character is not that kind of inner-twisted setting, which is better, but Helena, who plays Lori, is more uncomfortable——

The character she plays, Luo Li, appears to be a gentle and good roommate, but when cut open, the inside is completely black.

Playing such a psychologically twisted character can be very painful once you get too involved.

According to Helena herself, when she was at her worst, she would have nightmares about killing someone every night, and the person she was killing was still the same person——

Charlize Theron plays the heroine Tsui.

This made Helena very scared, and for a time she didn't dare to look at Charlize.

Fortunately, the overall atmosphere of the crew was relatively relaxed, and the assistant director Lao Qiang was more attentive and discovered Helena's situation.

He asked the culprit Mr. Director to provide Helena with psychological counseling.

"Don't be afraid, every good actor is a little crazy!"

According to Helena's recollection, the director seemed to have told her so at the time.

In short, after that counseling, Helena put down her psychological burden and used her wonderful state to play the role of Lori vividly.

"But how did you get into trouble after that?"

As an actor, Toby is still very interested in this aspect of things.

"It will be fine soon after filming!"

Helena herself was a little confused;

“After we shot the last scene, the director told me, ‘Lori is dead! ", I won't have nightmares after that."

--So simple?

Toby really couldn't believe that the problem that had always plagued the entertainment industry could be solved so easily.

——Mr. Director, you don’t know any magic, do you?

*********

"What kind of magic is this?"

Standing behind Charlotte, watching him continue to write and draw on the walls and the ground, Charlize asked strangely.

They were both in the Night Owl Cinema at this time.

In fact, there is only a wall between them and the audience who are watching "Happy Death Day"——

They're right behind the big screen.

This is not a strange space created by Charlotte using some magic, but an old storage room.

It is located next to the screening room where "Happy Death Day" is being screened.

"Didn't I tell you before? This Night Owl Cinema is built on the site of a church."

While Charlotte continued to draw something on the ground, she said to Charlize,

"And this is the original location of the altar in the church."

"Altar? Are you talking about the location of the statue of Jesus?"

Charlize was stunned,

"Wait, how do you know this?"

"Investigate!"

Charlotte didn't even look up;

"After the last premiere of "Fatal Bend", I became good friends with Milson, the boss of Nite Owl. This is what he told me."

"...It's actually like this!"

Charlize suddenly realized that Charlotte seemed to have done a lot of things without her knowledge.

This made her feel strange to the man in front of her again.

Charlotte, who was still lowering her head and drawing something, didn't notice the girl's change. He continued,

"Maybe it's because the previous church really concentrated the efforts of many believers! The Night Owl Cinema built on the site of the church also has a little bit of the nature of a church - here, just like being in a church, it's easy to be influenced by Emotional contagion.”

"Is this why watching horror movies in The Night Owl is often scarier than other movie theaters?"

Charlize suddenly realized,

"Then what are you going to do now-"

"I want to use this characteristic of Night Owl to strengthen my own spells!"

At this point, Charlotte paused her magic knowledge and asked an unrelated topic,

"By the way, why were you so coy when I dragged you into this room just now?"

"I thought you..."

The girl bit her lip and blushed.

"Thought I was?"

Charlotte was stunned and understood randomly,

"I do have some ideas. To be honest, behind the big screen in the auditorium where our own movie is being shown...it feels quite interesting to think about it. But-"

He straightened up and looked at Charlize;

"Now is not the time."

At this time, Charlotte's lips were raised, as if she was smiling. Although he said almost teasing words, Charlize could not see a trace of desire in his eyes.

——This is the Charlotte I know!

The girl was relieved.

But, only for a moment.

"What exactly are you painting?"

Looking at the extremely weird paintings and patterns on the ground and walls, Charlize felt horrified.

PS1: "Between a Wall" is a German movie released in 2001. It actually tells a love story during the Cold War about the Berlin Wall. PS2: Regarding the Berlin Wall, which has now been demolished as a symbol of the Cold War, I won’t go into details here. Friends who don’t know can search for it by themselves. It can only be said that the world is never as beautiful as we imagine, let alone as simple as we imagine; PS3: The setting of a storage room or construction site next door to this screening room is actually a reference to the "Death Is Coming" series One of the ways to die is the scene where an explosion occurs in the room behind the screening room of the movie theater, and then the moviegoers are blown up and all the explosives on the big screen fall off.
