When Kentrail saw the King on the podium, his anger grew. As his fingernails dug into his hands as he clenched them to suppress his anger, blood pooled.

Bent, knowing nothing, was applauding.

“Thanks to everyone who joined in the birth of the guardians who protected the Kingdom.”

The King applauded this time.

“Since the Kingdom was founded, we have produced many knights who bravely fought against the enemy and defended the Kingdom more than anyone else.”

The long speech began.

Bent seemed to be concentrating at first, and then he started yawning.

Kentrail glanced at him sternly and counted the number of knights guarding the King around. The number of those who were closely guarding him was five, and the number of those watching from afar was over twenty.

In addition, there would be more knights nearby who could come running whenever called.

“Then, let’s call the knights in turn for now.”

The chief attendant came forward and pointed the knights to their seats.

They would kneel before the king and be awarded the sword the king would hand to them. The form was a sword, but the inside of the scabbard would be empty, for they could not have the sword to be held right in front of the King.

“First, County Bent.”

Kentrail’s cousin, Count Bent, heard his family name, jumped up from his seat and cheered. He welcomed the knight who would link him and the King with enthusiasm.

Kentrail asked as Bent sat down.

“Is that good?”

“Of course. You pretend you’re not interested, too, but you’re here.”

“The Queen alone would be enough to become the closest family to the Royal Family.”

“Huh, you don’t know what anything. Who knows that the Queen who has not given birth to a successor turns out to be the wrong choice.”

Kentrail once again realized why the Queen had turned her back on them. And finally, the name of one of his family knights was called.

Kentrail blinked at Derek.

Possession of weapons was prohibited in this place, but through the handmaids planted so far, the sword was already hidden inside.

Derek headed for the weapon the handmaids had hidden. He seemed to be stretching his shoulders as if they were stiff. Seeing him, the eyes of the knights of other families turned to there before returning to the front again.

“A knight of the Charant family.”

Meanwhile, the King was talking to the knight in front of him.

“Yes, Your Majesty.”

“It’s a great family, so I’m looking forward to your strength.”

As the King bestowed the sword in its sheath, the knight smiled and got up from his seat.

“Thank you, Your Majesty.”

Having said that, the knight pulled out his sword at once, caught the King, and brought the sword to his neck.

Everything became a mess in an instant. The King’s face turned white.

“Ho… how?”

The sheath obviously should not contain a real sword, but he didn’t know what happened. At the same time, the knight shouted at the King’s escort knights approaching nearby.

“If you come, I will cut the king.”

The King looked to Kentrail with terrified eyes. It was a knight of Kentrail’s family, so he thought Kentrail would take care of it. Eventually, the eyes wandering around found their destination.

“Kent…”

But he couldn’t call him to the end.

Kentrail’s eyes that met his were so cold. It wasn’t the eye he usually looked into. It was only then that he realized that all of this was prepared by Kentrail.

The clashing sound came from the side. Wherever the weapons came from, some knights were fighting with swords. When the knight leader of the Royal Family tried to approach the knight with the sword around the King’s neck, the knight put the sword closer around his neck.

“Ugh…”

He could feel the blood leaking out.

The King raised his hand and told the knight commander not to approach. During all of this, the royal knights from all over the place collided with the knights in the hall. Handing over the trembling Bent to Derek, Kentrail strode leisurely.

“Your Majesty.”

He called the King.

“Kentrail…”

The nobles, who had been hiding here and there, held their breath as they watched the confrontation. They couldn’t figure out how the former Chancellor could have done such a thing.

“How long did you think you could hide it?”

Only then did the King know that Kentrail knew it all.

“Did you have fun when you used the Charant family to sit there and make fun of my family with me as the Chancellor?”

“That… that’s not what I did. It was all done by Caveran!”

“Your Majesty even encouraged Caveran.”

This was something he had heard from the Queen not long ago.

“That’s… that’s a misunderstanding! I’ll explain it all, so get this out of the way.”

“Misunderstanding… You are still telling lies until the end.”

“Does it look like you are going to get away with this? For you to treat me like this, the King!”

When the King shouted, the tightly closed gates of the royal hall opened and the boy slowly walked in. People were astonished. It was because they knew who the child was.

The King finally saw boy.

“How… how can you…. Be here…. ”

“Have you been well, uncle?”

The child smiled brightly. as if nothing had happened. Then, he slowly walked closer to the podium.

“I’m just here to get my seat back.”

The King did not understand how this had happened. If that child had left exile, he would have received a report. However, no such report ever came.

Then, he glanced at the chief attendant with hope. He bowed his head quietly to the King. The chief attendant was the person who served the previous kings. He was so capable that the King just left him as is, but he got hit right in the back of the head.

“Everyone, take that child. He is a sinner. Hurry!”

Even though the King commanded, the knights who were approaching the royal grandchild hesitated. Anyway, he was a prince. Although there was the King’s order, they were confused as to whom to follow in this situation.

“What are you doing now?!”

Only the royal knight’s commander approached the King with his sword. However, before it could reach him, the sword collided with a strong force.

It was Derek.

Derek, who had handed Bent to the silver-haired man, ran as soon as he saw the Captain of the royal knight approaching the boy.

“You… are…”

The knight leader looked at Derek with shaky eyes. The person who rejected Derek the most in his childhood was the head of the escort knight. He stared at his red eyes and noticed right away.

“I wasn’t here at that time.”

Derek laughed as if he had finally had a chance to destroy him from his childhood days. It was the knight commander who was rather nervous about his leisurely attitude. The head of the royal knight fixed his sword and ran towards him.

Derek also took his sword and aimed it forward.

The sound of the two swords clashing reverberated through the hall’s buzzing noise.

Derek pushed the sword that had struck him with overwhelming force. Then, the Captain of the royal knight was shaken off, and his stomach was kicked over.

Derek was no longer the one who sat on the shore of the lake and cried.

The King widened his eyes as if he couldn’t believe his knight had lost. At that moment, the other royal knights around them had no choice but to drop their swords. Hearing the commotion, the royal knights rushing to the were blocked by knights from other families and could no longer approach.

Kentrail received the King from his knight.

And so, the throne of the Kingdom was changed.

The knight’s commander of the Charant family was watching Caveran’s movement. Unfortunately, the number of knights staying inside was too small. Even if they participated in the knights’ ordination ceremony, he was puzzled by the clearly small number.

Then, he had a thought. He called the fastest of his subordinates.

“Yes, commander.”

“Go back to the mansion and see if there is anything wrong. Hurry.”

“Yes.”

Watching the knight move away, the knight’s commander could not hide his impatience.

“I’ll break in and come back.”

He spoke to the knight behind his own.

“I’ll have to check again to see if the head of Caveran is right here.”

“Yes.”

The knight commander chose a place where security was poor and crossed the wall. He peeked inside through the window, widening his eyes. Soon, he noticed the maids coming out to do the laundry, and he hid behind a large tree.

“The mansion is gloomy today.”

“Do you feel sluggish? I like it. Oh, have you seen the Lord.”

“I know. Where did he go today? They said he didn’t even participate in the knight’s ceremony.”

“I don’t know. Where did he go with the knight he always goes with?”

The knight’s body stiffened, and he jumped over the fence quickly. The maids said, ‘have you heard anything?’ but now his heart was too urgent.

“What’s wrong, Commander?”

The knights waiting outside asked.

“Go back to the mansion right now. Hurry!”

The knights, realizing the seriousness of the commander’s words, drove their horses and ran in an instant.

Brielle, Ellie, Barry, and Siege were huddled side by side to play cards.

“Wow…! I finally won.”

Brielle shouted with joy. Barry and Siege couldn’t concentrate on the game because they knew what was going to happen today, and Ellie, too, played the game roughly when the knights in the mansion were gone.

“That’s right, Young Master.”

Brielle prepared to finger-flick Ellie’s head.

“Please, be quick.”

Ellie said with a smile, but Brielle shook his head before pointing to her forehead. He was flicked by her after losing chess a few days ago.

At first, every time they played the game, they gently flicked each other. However, the Count, who watched the children play, asked how there was such a thing in the game. And allowed them to flick as much as they could.

Brielle, too, strengthened his flicking.

The sound of Brielle flicking Ellie’s forehead echoed through the room. Siege and Barry opened their eyes to the sound and looked at each other.

It didn’t seem normal.

“Haha, Young Master. There was a place where I had to guard the mansion, but I forgot.”

“Me, too.”

The two quickly got up from their seats and prepared to run away.

“Where are you going? Get flicked and go.”

Ellie, who found it unfair that she was the only one hit, got up and shouted. It was when the two children waved their hands.

…It felt really suspicious.

Meanwhile, Ellie and Brielle, who noticed nothing, still looked at them. They thought Siege and Berry didn’t want to get the punishment. However, Barry quickly took Ellie and Brielle’s hands and opened his mouth.

“I’m going to call sister, so you shouldn’t go anywhere. Be sure to stay with Siege.”

Barry, who asked Siege with his eyes, ran out.

“What’s going on?”

Ellie and Brielle asked Siege.

“It’s no big deal. It’ll be fine.”

Siege tried his best to calm the children, but he could tell that someone had broken into the mansion. Soon after, the sound of swords hitting each other dug into his keen hearing.
