It took a while for the support team to get used to that scene, where Ethan disappeared for an instant, and then a massive impact happened in the middle of the zombies' army, but eventually, they began to offer real support to Ethan. Since there were so many of them, all what Ethan needed was a few seconds to recover and then be ready to launch another attack. Much to Ethan's surprise, it took him a while to feel the mana entering the army, his senses weren't that sharp anymore, so it was only natural. Still, he discovered that the mana was coming from the North.

"I wonder what is North from here… the frontlines are supposed to be on the West, but I guess hiding in an unexpected place is the obvious thing to do."

Instead of sharing that knowledge, Ethan decided to stay quiet about it and just focus on the task at hand. Only Hannah would hear what he just discovered, and only when the time comes. Necromancers and liches tend to be lone wolves, but they had their own ways of collecting intel, so Ethan couldn't mess up.

Although Hannah informed to the officials of the area what would happen, many people still came to check things after feeling and hearing the sound of some impacts outside the walls. It wasn't like the zombies were attacking, but the damage caused by Ethan was more than enough to make some people frown. They were pretty frequent, after all.

Given how much experience and coins he was receiving and the fact that the bastard sword was receiving much less damage than he had expected, perhaps doing that was a waste of time. However, Ethan still learned a way to stop his weapon from receiving any damage and even increased his overall attack even more. He just had to envelop it with Neutral Enchantment.

"All right, now I can finally focus on destroying the monsters."

In just a few hours, Ethan progressed quite a bit. That being said, something that he had been waiting for finally happened… the zombie army finally began to let loose and attack the walls. It was only natural that the necromancer would get upset and lose his cool after so much harassment.

"Tsk," Hannah clicked her tongue in annoyance. "I was hoping that we would be able to continue with this for a while longer."

"Don't feel too bad about it," Ethan said while watching the monsters marching toward the walls and while some were already approaching by the skies. "This only shows that the plan is working. Regardless, our strategy won't work on flying enemies, so you have to make the soldiers focus on them."

"What about you?" Hannah asked. "I'm the only one who can teleport you around, and I don't think that it will be a good idea for you to attack, climb the walls and repeat the same process."

"You are right," Ethan nodded. "Just teleport me behind the zombies' army, and I will buy us some time. The necromancer is aware of my presence, so he will try to crush me before anything."

Hannah was having a hard time keeping her head cool since she was hearing the same thing over and over from Ethan. All his plans were based on using himself as some sort of bait, and also, all his plans were quite dangerous, to say the least. In fact, they were borderline madness.

"I can offer him some support," Lili said. "If just one person goes with him, he won't have a hard time protecting me. Besides, I'm the largest mana pool among this group."

Things got a little better from Hannah's perspective, but now was Ethan's time to frown. While all support was welcome, he didn't need it as long as Hannah organized the troops on the walls fast enough. That being said, Ethan knew that was just him being unreasonable since he didn't have all that much experience in fighting while protecting other people.

"Well, if anything, you are already used to my reckless actions," Ethan shrugged. "Let's just hope the whole zombie army won't turn around and focus on us."

Lili didn't consider that, and, in the end, she began to question if Ethan's madness wasn't contagious or something. She wasn't the type of having such ideas, so perhaps she wasn't wrong about that. Regardless, that fight was for the sake of the people of that world, so she didn't give up.

"I'm counting on you," Hannah said while facing Lili. "The rest of you will slow down the monsters while the other soldiers assume their positions."

Everyone nodded. The idea of fighting during the night was no longer a surprise to them. Hence, them readily began to attack the flying monsters with magic. If anything, they were thankful that their only worry was the flying enemies that weren't that resistant to long-ranged magic.

Hannah concentrated herself and then found the perfect place where someone like Ethan would be able to shine. Still, Ethan couldn't help but frown when he suddenly appeared behind a group of ape-like creatures covered in a red fur. Although those monsters had a pretty good physique, all of them were armed with crossbows.

"I guess this will do. Big sis must have already watched a video or two of me using the simulator…" Ethan shrugged and then looked at Lili. "Don't leave this position, no matter what."

Lili nodded. Although Ethan's eyes got used to the darkness, finding her would be difficult if she leaves her position for some reason. Regardless, Ethan dashed toward the monsters the very moment they felt his presence and turned around. Now that he had some time to feel it, Ethan could tell that the putrid smell was barely bearable. It was a massive army of undead, after all. Still, Ethan had plenty of experience in dealing with such factors.

Before the first monster could even pull the trigger, several of those ape-like creatures began to fly… at least their upper halves began to fly. Like a tornado, Ethan sliced them apart left and right. Most of them got split in half by Ethan's sword, but some of them also got their heads destroyed after getting hit by crossbows flying faster than arrows. That was something that Lili barely saw Ethan doing before. A single look was what he needed in order to find something he could use on the ground, kick and then kill a foe several meters away from him. It was incredible how faster Ethan could do that; he could do that several times without even stopping his charge.
