When I stepped out into the large space, I saw a subhuman almost twice as tall as me armed in front of me. My identification skill catches its identity along with those around it.

Kobold Lv7

Common Monster Subjugation Target Active

High Orc Lv?

? ? ?

Kobolds are similar to goblins. The difference is in their equipment. Kobolds wear armor and have a mace. I guess this means that the goblin subspecies is Kobold.

The boss-like high orc in front of me is the only one whose level I can't see, so I'm guessing the Kobold´s evolution destination is an orc and it's the third evolution destination. And it's equipped with a shield and saber. It's completely iron. And the mace on the Kobolds around him looks like iron. Seriously...

This is a powerful enemy. These guys don't just charge in blindly. They seem to be checking us out. I'd be grateful if they'd give me some time, but I don't know how to attack them...there are six of them, just like us. I think that Kotetsu, Chess and Byakuya can beat Kobolds. But Liqueur and Sabik will have it tough to beat them.

And then there's the problem of dealing with the High Orc. It's a power type, but since it has a shield, I don't think it will rely on power. It might be a dangerous enemy to let Kotetsu and others fight. So what can we do? I put away my staff, took out the stone sword Lily was using and held it up to the high orc.

When the high orc saw this, he laughed at me as if I were a fool. It seems that it's making fun of my equipment. It's true that the difference in performance between a stone sword and an iron saber is obvious. But is it okay to just laugh?

At the High Orc's command, the Kobolds attacked us all at once. I give the order.

"Liqueur and Sabik are in danger, so stay behind"

Liqueur nodded and stepped back with Sabik on his back. Then I briefly instructed Kotetsu and the others.

"Take them down one by one. I'll take care of the rest"

With that, Kotetsu, Chess and Byakuya nodded. The Kobolds jump at us, swinging their maces. Ahhhh, can they jump? There's nowhere to run.

Kotetsu and Byakuya jump at the defenseless Kobolds. Chess gets up and counters with an ice punch to a Kobold. Kobold gets stuck against the wall, brilliant.

Then I get low, twist my body to the side and hide the stone sword in my body.

Then, as the mace is swung, I pull out the stone sword. The heads of two Kobolds were neatly severed. Yes, this is the art of sword drawing. Originally, this technique was done with a sword and scabbard, but you don't need a scabbard to use it. But of course, it's better to have one.

Now, the small fries were taken care of. The high orc stepped forward, saber and shield ready. It looks like he saw the battle earlier and can't afford it anymore. Interesting.

"I'll take on that guy. Kotetsu and the others can watch"

Kotetsu and the others stepped back and I stepped forward, holding my sword in the middle position. Now, let's see how good the swordplay is in this game!

I and the high orc step forward at the same time. The high orc then activates his skill. It's an uppercut slash. In response, I kick the ground, close the gap between me and the high orc in an instant and slash him in the side. Then I adjust my stance and position myself in the middle.

The high orc saw this and held up his shield, looking at me. I've seen the battle between Arthur and Lily. So I know what the high orc wants. And now I'm going to make my move.

I cut at him from the top. The high orc sees this and tries to block my sword with his shield. Yes, as expected. That's boring.

My sword changes its trajectory and dodges the high orc's shield as if it were sliding. The moment it hits the ground, I switch swords, step in further and thrust the shield out from the lower level, slicing through his defenseless stomach. I calmly positioned myself in the middle.

I knew the extent of my opponent's ability. I'm sorry, but it's not worth talking about.

However, the wolfman has made me abnormal with his shouting. The high orc might have something similar. I was on the lookout for it, but as soon as I was sure to damage it, there was a change. The color of his body, which had been green, changed to red. Then the speed of the opponent's attack increased. It wasn't a special attack, it seemed to be a pure reinforcement.

The attack patterns increased, but the shouting was more annoying.

After that, the high oak continued to be torn apart and died without being able to do any damage to me.

Well, it was a tense moment, but that was it. Now it's time to dismantle it. I wonder what this thing will drop. Orcs have an image of pigs, but this one is different. I hope it's not pork, because I'm not going to eat it when I think about its meat. Here are the results of the dismantling.

Iron Saber: Rarity 3 Sword Quality E

Weight: 20 Durability: 40 Attack Power: 15

A saber made of iron. It is a single-edged sword that is lighter and longer than a normal one-handed sword.

By using a curved blade, it specializes in cutting.

Fire Stone: Rarity 2 Material Item Quality E

A stone that possesses the fire attribute. Can be found in volcanic areas and hot places.

Whoa, this is a magic stone summoning case. Kobolds are nothing. Doesn't it drop a mace? Even so, I thought it would be better to acquire skills if there are occasions when I will continue to use a sword.

Author note:

It was a high orc battle. I've always had an image of Orcs as pigs, but it seems that they are actually fictional creatures that resemble humans. I didn't turn them into pigs in this novel because it was a good opportunity.

The next story will be about the evolution of Liqueur and Sabik. Please look forward to it.
