Harry Potter and the Legend of the Temple

Chapter 244: Checking the Magic Wand (Part 2)

"Ludo, I want to talk to someone before everything starts." Rita Skeeter fiddled with her glasses and raised her proud part. "Single interview, you know, this is my habit."

"Okay, no problem, but you have to hurry." Ludo Bagman looked at the watch on his hand, "Mr. Ollivander is ready."

"It's you, Harry Potter." Rita seemed to have prepared her target long ago. Before Harry could object, she had already pulled Harry out of the house, like a prostitute in a hurry to do something.

Rita Skeeter was not good-looking, but her heavy makeup and slightly coquettish walking posture made Louis have to wonder whether this reporter from the Daily Prophet obtained intelligence by selling her body.

"Stupid woman." Fleur muttered beside Louis, "The questions she asked have no bottom line at all. Which reporter would ask about the family history of the Veela bloodline."

Watching Harry walk out the door, Louis could only pray helplessly, wondering what kind of moths the Daily Prophet would have tomorrow.

After an unknown amount of time, when Louis thought that Harry was almost licked clean by Rita, the door of the classroom was opened again, and Dumbledore entered with Mr. Ollivander.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are almost ready to start." Ludo Bagman led Mr. Ollivander to his side, and the slightly older wand maker sat down tremblingly by the window.

"Allow me to introduce you, Mr. Ollivander, who will be responsible for the wand inspection of this competition to ensure that it is in good condition before the competition begins."

Ollivander waved to several contestants, and Louis found that the old man had aged a little since he met him in Diagon Alley two years ago.

Harry rushed back to the classroom at the last moment before the wand inspection was about to begin. He sat next to Louis, his eyes looking a little tired.

"Miss Delacour, please come forward." Ollivander greeted the only female among the warriors.

Fleur took a brisk step and put the wand in Mr. Ollivander's hand.

"9.25 inches, rosewood, not easy to bend." Ollivander turned Fleur's wand, and then his eyes paused as if he had found something good, and a little light was revealed in his originally dim look.

"Oh, my God, this wand core is..."

"Veela hair." Fleur continued, "From my grandmother."

"Yes, Veela hair is also one of the special wand cores." Ollivander said, "I personally never use it when making wands, because it is too sensitive and difficult to control."

He stroked the wand, as if checking the cracks on the surface. After a while, he waved Fleur's wand and muttered something.

Some flowers emerged from the front of the wand, and he nodded approvingly: "Very good, in good condition."

Fleur took the wand from Ollivander very politely. Then he raised his head to Louis with a more arrogant look.

"Mr. Krum, come on."

Victor Krum did not speak, he acted very quickly and came to Ollivander quickly.

"Well, that's right." Ollivander frowned, holding it to his ear and listening, "This is made by Gregorovitch, he is very good, although his style is completely different from mine." "Made of hornbeam wood, the core is the tendon of the dragon's heart, 10.25 inches, Gregorovitch is really a genius." Ollivander waved the wand again, and there was a burst of gunfire and a series of sparks from the top. "Not bad, but this wand doesn't seem to be very obedient. Well, the fit is a little low, but it's not a problem." Krum's eyes moved, but he still didn't speak, with his hands in his belt. "Next, Mr. Potter, you come." Harry stood up, walked past Krum, and handed the wand to Ollivander. "Ah, yes, I made it." Ollivander gently stroked the Phoenix Feather Wand, "Just like yesterday, I still remember it."

"11 inches, holly wood shaft, Phoenix feather... Dumbledore, you still remember it."

Olivander suddenly pointed at the Hogwarts headmaster, which made Harry beside him look a little puzzled.

Some spring water came out of the wand, and he returned the wand to Harry, saying that his wand was in excellent condition.

"Next, I am very much looking forward to it... Ah, yes, Mr. Wiggins."

Louis took a deep breath. To be honest, he didn't know much about his own wand in the past two years. The only special thing was his wand core.

"These two years are good, I am looking forward to meeting you." Ollivander smiled and motioned him to take out the wand.

"Very good, Mr. Ollivander." Louis handed over the wand. He had never told anyone about the secret of his wand.

"Ah, what a beautiful work, it is indeed a secret that I will never be able to understand in my lifetime." He stroked the lines on the wand with trembling hands, as if he was admiring the most precious thing.

"Vinewood, 12.25 inches long, and the key is, the horn of the basilisk." Ollivander smacked his lips, his expression was infatuated, until Louis coughed twice, he came back to his senses.

"Ah, sorry, I lost my composure." Ollivander expressed his apology, and then carefully examined the wand again.

"I can feel that it has completely surrendered to you. The fit between you and it has reached perfection, which is very good Mr. Wiggins." He reluctantly returned the wand to Louis.

"As far as I know, this wand allows the wizard's potential and magic to be unleashed to the greatest extent possible, but if it is controlled by an ordinary person, unexpected disasters may occur."

"Of course, it still has many secrets that I don't know yet, and no one knows what will happen after it is perfectly matched with it." Ollivander warned, and then he took it from his pocket as if he remembered something. He took out a thin notebook and handed it to Lewis.

"My father has been studying this wand all his life. These are some conclusions he has made from his investigation. I will hand it over to you now." Ollivander said.

Louis nodded and put the notebook in his arms. Facing the slightly surprised expressions of Fleur and Harry, as well as the usually cold and expressionless Krum, he couldn't help but look at them more.

Of course, Krum's eyes were mostly focused on his wand.

Rita Skeeter, who was sitting in the back, was quickly jotting down something on a piece of paper, as if she had discovered some incredible news.

Louis didn't stop him, and everyone knew about his special wand core, at least in the Ministry of Magic, basically everything that could be known was known.

"Okay, everyone, the wand test is over." Dumbledore stood up and announced, "If you want to leave, you can leave now."

"Wait a minute, Dumbledore, we need to take a group photo." Ludo Bagman stopped him, "What do you think, Rita?"

"Ah, right." Rita said quickly. She stood up, "Okay, let's take a group photo first, and then take a single photo."

Her eyes kept looking at Louis and Harry. These two Hogwarts warriors were a huge source of news to her.

After everything was over, Rita still wanted to drag Louis and Harry to do an interview. Under his influence, Louis pushed Harry to Rita alone, and sneaked out of another street alone. He left, leaving Harry alone with the woman.
