Harry Potter and the Legend of the Temple

Chapter 78 The Story of Four Brothers

In Hogwarts Castle, several professors gathered together to discuss countermeasures.

The Gryffindor students were all temporarily staying in the auditorium. The four long tables that had been neatly arranged in the past had long been placed against the wall. Instead, they were replaced by a purple tent.

"Sleep well, you will be absolutely safe here tonight." Dumbledore assured many students, and then he opened the door and retreated.

The students were all talking about the events that had just happened. They were surprised that Black could break through the Dementors' defense.

The scene was indeed a bit chaotic. In the end, under the pressure of Percy's identity as the president of the student union, everyone found a sleeping bag and calmed down.

"Where's Louis? I didn't see anyone else."

The four of Harry each grabbed a sleeping bag and looked for a place to sleep. Ginny looked around and found no sign of him.

"I'm here!" Louis held up a purple sleeping bag to greet Harry and the others, then squeezed through the crowd and came to the four of them.

"Where did you go just now? We can't find you."

Lewis didn't answer. He pointed to the ginger cat in his arms with some breathlessness.

"Crookshanks?" Hermione took her pet from Louis' arms. Crookshanks purred at Louis a few times, and then got into Hermione's arms.

If this cat were male, Louis would definitely scold it for favoring sex over friends.

"Okay, now, turn off the lights!" Percy's commanding tone made everyone quiet down again. Several people hurriedly put the tent on the ground and got into it to sleep.

It is said to be a tent, but in fact it is just a small sleeping bag, which is only enough for one person to sleep.

All the candles in the banquet hall were extinguished, and the only visible light was the silver-white patrolling ghost and the magic ceiling. The ceiling also made creaking sounds from time to time, making people mistakenly think that they were sleeping outdoors and the wind was blowing.

Every few hours, teachers keep coming in to check and patrol, just like the dormitory aunties in the dormitory.

But tonight was destined to be a sleepless night. At three o'clock in the morning, Dumbledore entered from the main entrance, followed by Severus Snape.

"Principal, I have searched everywhere on the third floor and in the dungeon, and I have found no trace of Black."

"Where's the astronomical tower, and Sivol's room."

"Lupine has also looked for those places, but they are nowhere to be found."

"Very good." Dumbledore nodded, "Then I think Black has left the castle."

"How do you think he got in, Headmaster?" Snape asked.

"There are many possibilities, Severus." Dumbledore turned his head and looked at Snape's hook-nosed face, "What do you think?"

"I think there is a traitor in our school." Snape said expressionlessly, "Do you still remember what we talked about when the school started? If Black didn't have anyone in the school..."

"I don't think anyone in the school will help Black." Dumbledore said in a stiff tone, "I know you are biased against him, Severus, but he is on the same side as us now."

Dumbledore and Snape happened to be walking next to Louis, and their conversation was clearly heard by Louis, who was not asleep.

He naturally knew who the traitor they were talking about was Remus Lupin, Sirius's good brother.

"I'm not referring to him, Headmaster." Snape shook his head, "Don't you think that Louis Wiggins is very similar to Black."

"It's ridiculous. Do you think a second-year student would help Black?" Dumbledore obviously didn't want to continue this topic. "I will go find the dementors and tell them the results of our search."

"Of course, they don't want to enter the castle to influence our students for Black."

Dumbledore and Snape left the hall, and Louis' heart was filled with excitement. He didn't understand what Snape meant by that sentence. Maybe it was just to lower his impression in Dumbledore's mind?

This night was destined to be restless. Ever since he discovered Louis at the Whomping Willow, Lupine had been thinking about how Louis found that place. Perhaps, he knew that Black would definitely appear there?

Lupine has not seen a student as outstanding as Louis for a long time. Not only did he almost successfully cast the Patronus Charm on the train, but more importantly, his decisiveness and bravery. Except for James and Apart from Sirius, almost no one could do this.

Even in Harry's case, he focused more on his self-blame for James, while on the other hand, he was simply optimistic about Louis.

After getting the news about Sirius this time, he immediately wanted to confront Sirius and ask him why he chose to betray James and betray their brotherhood.

Thinking back to those twenty years ago, they were almost inseparable four brothers, James, Sirius, Peter Pettigrew and myself Lupin. Almost everyone in Hogwarts was moved by the friendship between these four people.

For Lupine's werewolf blood, they even learned the extremely advanced and extremely difficult magic, Animagus. The four brothers also ventured into the Forbidden Forest and explored the deepest magical mysteries deep in the Forbidden Forest.

But everything collapsed thirteen years ago. The four people who joined the Order of the Phoenix to fight against Voldemort naturally became the targets of the Death Eaters. Moreover, Voldemort knew the destined prophecy of his old enemy and hunted down the James family all over the world.

But he made many mistakes. He believed in his most trusted brother, only to be beaten down by his own brother.

When Lupine received the news, it was James who died tragically under Voldemort's death curse, and Peter Pettigrew and all the Muggles on the street were blown up by a spell from Sirius.

Lupine has been complaining about himself for more than ten years. If he had found out that Sirius had thoughts of betrayal, he would never have let James suffer like this.

Now, when he found Louis, he seemed to see the figure of Sirius' Animagus, the big black dog. He almost rushed forward to confront him, but because of Louis' eyes, he gradually backed away.

He didn't know if Louis knew anything, so he was in no rush to recognize him.

But he believed that since it was Sirius who gave him a light to illuminate the direction when Lupine was at his darkest and most lonely time as a child, then he could also pull him towards the light during his darkest time. Because at the end of the day, he is still the brother he once was.

Lupine looked at the moonlight, and then returned to his post. His most important task now was to protect Harry, James Potter's only flesh and blood.
