Harry Potter: Glory of the King

Chapter 90: Noberta leaves

A week later, the length of the dragon was three times as long as it was before, and clouds of smoke came out of its nostrils. During this time, Hagrid basically left the job of guarding the hunting grounds because the dragon made him messy, and the ground was full of empty brandy bottles and chicken feathers.

"Hagrid," Harry couldn't help but said, "In two weeks, Norberta will become the same size as your house. Malfoy has obviously been eyeing you, and you know Charlie too. You can go and see Noberta."

"I know." Hagrid was depressed. "It's just, uh... she's a good girl."

During this time, Harry and Ron took turns wearing invisibility cloaks to help Hagrid. After the astronomy class on Wednesday night, Ron passed. Harry and Ona waited until after twelve o’clock before Ron came back. Now Norberta has started to use the board. Dead rats in boxes.

"She bit me!" Ron said, showing them his hand with a blood-stained handkerchief on the bread. "I can't get a pen for a week. Tell you guys, the fire dragon is the most I have ever seen. Terrible animal, but look at the way Hagrid treats it, you thought it was a fluffy little rabbit. After it bit me, Hagrid didn’t allow me to scare it. When I left, I heard him giving It sings a lullaby."

Ona looked at Ron's hand seriously: "I guess your trouble is not small. Its teeth contain poison and germs. I think your hands may not heal easily."

Ona tried to use the potion given by the system, and the result was unexpectedly okay.

"Isn't it difficult to treat?" Ron felt his fingers feel a lot more comfortable and couldn't help asking.

"Because my medicine is not easy to find." Ona could only prevaricate.

At this time, Charlie’s message came again, and his friends planned to meet at the tallest tower at Hogwarts on Saturday night in the dark to take the dragon away.

"We can use the invisibility cloak," Harry said. "It shouldn't be too difficult-I think the invisibility cloak is enough to cover the two of us and the dragon." He pointed to himself and Ron, "Ona, you will be there when you come. Can we help pay attention to the surroundings later?"

Ona nodded: "Okay, no problem. I'll go to Hagrid to tell him about this now."

With the help of Shenyin, Ona came to the door of Hagrid's hut. The big hound Yaya sat outside with a bandage on his tail. It was a bit pitiful. Ona hurriedly used potion to help him recover from his tail injury.

Hagrid opened the window and talked to him: "Ona, thank you! But, I can't let you in," he said, panting. "Noberta is very difficult to deal with now-I can't do anything with her."

Ona told him about Charlie's letter, and his eyes were full of tears, but it could also be because Norberta had just bit his leg.

"Hehe, it's okay, she just bit my boots-she is playing-after all, she is still a little girl."

Ona listened to the little girl knocking on the wall with her tail clasped, and the window shook so loudly that she couldn't help crying or laughing. He left Hagrid with two bottles of potion, and he left.

The next day, Ron's fingers were obviously healed a lot—at least they were not swollen twice as much. In the afternoon, Ona used the potion again and finally healed Ron's finger.

It was overcast on Saturday night and it was very dark. Ona and the others came to Hagrid’s cabin a bit late, because Peppigui was playing tennis in the hall against the wall, and Ona couldn’t help but use the eye of Horus. Staring at it, scared it away.

Hagrid had packed Nobetta into a large crate and was ready.

"We prepared a lot of mice for her, and some brandy, enough for her to eat along the way." Hagrid said in a dull voice, "I also put her teddy bear in, lest she feel lonely."

There was a tearing sound from the crate, and Ona felt that the teddy bear's head seemed to be torn off.

"Goodbye, Noberta!" Hagrid whispered, "Mom won't forget you!"

Harry and Ron covered the crate with invisibility cloaks, and then went under the robes.

Fortunately, the two boys were carrying the box, even though Norberta kept moving, but before entering the castle, perhaps because of the brandy, Harry and the others felt that it seemed to be asleep and calmed down. They could not help but breathe a sigh of relief.

They carried the boxes up the marble steps in the hall, walked through the dark corridors, and climbed one floor after another, even though they took shortcuts with Ona's help without any effort.

"Almost there!" Harry panted as they reached the corridor on the floor below the tallest tower.

There was a sudden movement in front of them, so scared that the two of them almost threw away the boxes in their hands-they forgot that they were wearing invisible cloaks, and quickly retreated into the shadows, looking at a place ten steps away from them, the two were dark. The silhouettes of are entangled with each other. A lamp is shining.

It was Professor McGonagall, wearing a checkered dressing gown, wearing a hairnet, and pulling Malfoy's ears.

"Confinement!" she yelled, "Slytherin deducted 20 points! Wandering around in the middle of the night, how dare you..."

"You don’t understand, Professor, Harry and Ron must have a problem tonight. I saw them running towards Hagrid. I have been following them all this time, and I found a note. Said that we are going to the highest tower in the morning and night tonight, and there is something to be taken away by others!"

Harry glanced at Ron. He could still see each other under the robes. Ron turned pale. He remembered that he accidentally put the letter in a book borrowed from the library, and then he took it. Go and pay it back!

"Total nonsense! How dare you make up such a lie! Go-I'll see what Professor Snape does with you, Malfoy!"

After getting rid of Malfoy, the steep spiral staircase leading to the tower seemed to be the easiest part of the world. They have been under the cold night sky before taking off the invisibility cloak. How nice, finally I can breathe freely again. Ron even danced a strange dance: "I didn't expect Malfoy to be imprisoned!"

"Stop it!" Harry glared at him. "What if Malfoy takes a letter to the professors?"

Ron was also startled in a cold sweat. They waited anxiously. Norberta seemed to wake up and moved violently in the box. Fortunately, ten minutes later, four broomsticks suddenly fell from the darkness.

Charlie's friends were cheerful people-they showed Harry and Ron the ropes they had tied so that they could hang Nobetta between them. They hurriedly tied Noberta's box to the rope safely, and shook hands with Ron and Harry: "We all graduated from Gryffindor, come on!"

Harry and Ron said many words of gratitude to them. Finally, they took Noberta and disappeared in the direction of Hogsmeade Village.
