Harry Potter: The Path of Destiny

Chapter 16 Hagrid’s cabin

At five minutes to three in the afternoon, Nydia took Iwan and left the castle with Harry and Ron and walked across the fields. In the past few days, Yiwan has been staying quietly in the dormitory and not going anywhere. Michelle commented that her behavior was too lazy, but Nidia felt that Yiwan just preferred to be quiet. The hut where Hagrid lived was outside the castle, on the edge of the Forbidden Forest. Nydia felt that Yiwan, as an animal, would prefer to be close to nature, so she brought her out.

When Harry knocked on the door, a dog barked from inside the house, and then Hagrid's voice was heard saying "Stay back, Fang, stay back."

Hagrid opened the door a crack, revealing his bearded face.

"Wait a minute," Hagrid said. "Stand back, Fang."

Hagrid let them in, desperately clutching the collar of a large black hound.

"You're welcome." Hagrid said, and let go of Fang. Fang immediately jumped on Ron and licked his ears. It seemed that Fang, like Hagrid, was not as fierce as he looked.

"This is Ron and Nydia." Harry introduced Ron and Nydia to Hagrid.

"Another little brother from the Weasley family. I spent almost half of my life trying to drive the twin brothers out of the Forbidden Forest." Hagrid turned his eyes to Nydia. "Little girl from the Field family, I have I noticed that you were sorted into Gryffindor, which surprised me. You were sorted into a house different from my own, but it’s not like this has happened before. "

"Have there ever been people in the academy who went so far as to be different from the rest of the family?" Nidia was curious, and it turned out that she was not an exception.

"Yes, there was such a guy before, but unfortunately he was a disappointment in the end. I hope you won't be like him." Hagrid glanced at Harry secretly when he said this. Harry and Ron may not have Attention, but Nydia saw it. Nidia felt that the person Hagrid was talking about should be related to Harry.

Harry told Hagrid about his class this week, and Hagrid would occasionally respond to him and express some of his own opinions. Like Harry and Ron, he disliked Mr. Filch, the administrator. He called him "that old loser", which made Harry and Ron very happy. As for Nydia, she had never had any dealings with Filch, so she didn't have much dislike for him.

"As for the cat, the one named Mrs. Norris, I really want to introduce her to my teeth one day. You know, every time I go to school, she follows me wherever I go, and I can't get rid of her. Filch must have made it happen," said Hagrid.

"Um...Hagrid, are you sure introducing Mrs. Norris to Fang will have any effect?"

After speaking, Nidia pointed in the direction of Yaya, which was lying in front of Yiwan, looking like begging for mercy.

After Yaya found out about Yiwan's existence, Nidia started to provoke Yiwan. Nidia was worried about whether Yiwan would be bullied by Yaya, and considered whether to take Yiwan back. Unexpectedly, Yiwan just stared at her. After giving Yaya a look, Yaya obediently prostrated on the ground.

"This useless coward." Hagrid shook his head helplessly. Harry and Ron on the side also laughed when they saw this scene.

Then Harry told Hagrid about the potions class in the morning. Harry felt that Snape was deliberately targeting him. At first, Nydia had the same idea as Ron and Hagrid, thinking that Harry was overthinking, and Professor Snape had almost no students he liked. However, when Hagrid deliberately changed the topic to avoid Harry's question, Nydia began to feel that maybe Harry's feelings were indeed correct, and that Professor Snape really hated Harry for some reason.

"Hagrid." Harry suddenly picked up the newspaper and interrupted Ron's conversation with Hagrid about his brother Charlie's research on dragons. "The day when the Gringotts break-in happened happened to be my birthday. It's very possible that it happened." We happened to be there when it happened.”

Hagrid avoided Harry's topic again, just said a simple yes and continued to talk about dragons with Ron.

When they came out of Hagrid's hut, the three of them had their pockets filled with rock biscuits, which Hagrid had made himself. They tasted very bad and almost broke their teeth when they bit them, but they were too embarrassed to refuse, so they had to They all accepted it bravely.

"Harry, why are you so concerned about the Gringotts break-in?" Nydia asked Harry. She had asked this question before, but she saw that Hagrid obviously wanted to avoid the question, so she didn't. Hagrid asked from inside the house.

"I don't know what to say, it's just an intuition. I suspect that the thing that the intruder wanted to steal was the thing that Hagrid took me to pick up that morning." Harry expressed his suspicion.

"Maybe it's just a coincidence. You have to know that a lot of people go to Gringotts to pick up things every day." Nidia felt that there was too little evidence to support Harry's conjecture. "Also, that person would risk breaking into Gringotts to steal something, so this thing must be a very important thing, and such an important thing needs to be moved. I don't think Dumbledore would give such an important thing to Hagrid did it, I’m not saying Hagrid is not good enough, it’s just that he acted a little carelessly.”

"I also think Nydia is right. If it's something particularly important, Dumbledore won't go there himself. At least he should send someone as rigorous as Professor McGonagall to handle it." Ron agreed.

"Maybe I'm overthinking it! I just think it's too coincidental, and Hagrid always makes me feel like he's hiding something," Harry said.

Nidia does agree with this point. Hagrid is indeed hiding something. Hagrid’s facial expression betrays his heart too much. Even children like them can easily detect that he is hiding something, let alone face to face Adult. It is also because of this that Nydia feels that Dumbledore will not leave overly important matters to Hagrid. So even if Hagrid was hiding something, it probably had nothing to do with the Gringotts break-in.

"I don't think you need to worry too much. Even if this matter is really related to the things Hagrid took away, those things have already been taken away and moved! That person did not get such a thing." Nidia said .

"That's right. The things should have been hidden by now. Hagrid will definitely not tell us about such important things so easily," Harry said. Thinking about it this way, he doesn't need to worry too much about this matter.
