Harry Potter's Catastrophe

Chapter 3: The Head of Hogwarts

Carney raised his eyebrows and calmed down. After all, he hadn't made the final confirmation yet, he took out the letter and read it carefully.

Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry: Albus Dumbledore (President of the International Federation of Magic, President of the Wizards Association, First Class Wizard of the Order of Merlin)

Dear Mr. Strain:

We are pleased to inform you that you have been admitted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Attached is a list of required books and equipment. The semester is scheduled to begin on September 1st. We will be waiting for your owl to bring your reply before July 31st.

Enter Deputy Headmistress Minerva McGonagall.

"Huh, it seems to be correct!" Carney let out a long breath. "But, I haven't noticed anything strange happening since I was a child. How can I get the qualification to study?" he said doubtfully.

"Do I have any special abilities that I haven't discovered yet?"

"Demacia! Hasha GAY! Iku! Eighteen Dragon Subduing Palms! Zaipelli Ao's Light! Turtle Style Qigong..." Carney tried his best, except for the shameful movements that were so outrageous that the owl could see them all Other than that, nothing happened.

Well, let’s be realistic and try again. He stretched out his right hand, flexed his fingers, and stared at the bag of snacks on the table.

"Get up! Get up!" Snack still didn't move, perhaps because it only appeared when the mood fluctuated violently. With an adult's mind, he really didn't have any particularly big mood swings. Now that I have received it, I don’t care what it does to affect my mood. There is no pesticide now, so I’ll talk about it when the time comes.

After thinking about it clearly, I temporarily put the matter behind me and took out the second piece of paper in the letter and read it:

A set of glass or crystal vials

a telescope

a brass balance

Students may bring an owl or a cat or a toad.

Parents are particularly reminded that first-year students are not allowed to bring their own broomsticks [referring to the broomsticks used by wizards and wizards]

Looking at this pile of books, just two words give me a headache! But I am so excited, this is pain and happiness.

"Dad, mom..."

After telling my parents about this and expressing my intention in this regard, I even held a family meeting specifically for this matter.

"I have long felt that the baby is different from other children since he was a child, and he will definitely do big things in the future! I have no objection." The mother's test was surprisingly easy. I thought they would not understand the ambiguity of magic and other rewards.

"But, I plan to let him inherit my position in the future!" The father struggled. "I have never heard of magic before. Is it reliable?"

"Father, I can inherit the family property after I graduate, as long as you don't lose everything before I graduate."

"How is that possible! I rarely spend money carelessly." The father looked in the direction of the mother and immediately retorted, "Okay, that's it."

I wrote a reply, the content of which was roughly the following: I was polite and then expressed my doubts about where to buy the required books and equipment and hoped that someone would take them with me. Although I know the Broken Ax Bar, Diagon Alley and so on through my memories, I still have to act like a normal kid. Tie the letter back to the owl's leg, watch the owl slowly fly away, and then wait for the news.

Who will lead the way, probably Professor McGonagall...

On the evening of July 20th, the Strand family was sitting at the dinner table having dinner, which was coming to an end.

"Ding dong~"

"It should be the school professor here!" Carney guessed, immediately jumped up and trotted all the way to the door.

"Hey, I just finished eating, slow down." My parents came over then.

Opening the door, it was Professor McGonagall who was outside. Professor McGonagall wore a black pointed hat, square glasses, curly black hair tied into a high bun, and dark green robes.

"Professor, please come in."

"Thank you, you are such a polite boy, you must be little Mr. Strang." Professor McGonagall praised.

After entering the room and identifying herself, my mother brought the professor a cup of tea. "Hello, professor, I have caused trouble to you. I have to go there myself."

"Thank you, this is my job."

"I'm sorry, is there really magic? I mean, can you do magic?" The father still couldn't help but ask.

"Oh, of course, clean." Professor McGonagall was already used to this kind of thing. He pointed at the dining table with his wand and said a spell. The dishes with food residues on the table instantly looked like new. Usually, the mother picks up the plate on the table with bright eyes and checks it repeatedly...

After a few polite words to get acquainted, they agreed to take Carney to Diagon Alley to buy the necessary supplies in two days. The Strands had to work the next day, so he could only go alone. Professor Ge was also very relieved.
