Harry Potter's Catastrophe

Chapter 430: Wild Forest

In the dense woods, there was no other sound except the tinny sounds of insects.

The strange monkeys surrounded Kani from a distance and did not have the courage to move forward, but their behavior was very strange.

They stood motionless on the tree, staring at Carney with their extremely big eyes. Carney drifted forward. They all moved forward, keeping a distance from Carney, but they kept surrounding him.

Carney was also stared at with horror, but he was confident that he could defeat some stupid monkeys. There were only fifty or sixty monkeys in total, which was not a lot.

He guessed that the reason why these jungle hunters did not dare to attack might be the giant dragon. He lay down on the giant dragon with a little smell.

The giant dragon did have some smell on it. It was hard to tell. It was hot and thick and made it difficult to breathe. Unlike ordinary fire dragons, there should be no strange smell. The giant dragon seemed to be bathing in flames, so there should be no strange smell.

If it were an ordinary fire dragon, Carney believed that these stupid monkeys would attack without hesitation, throwing stones, wooden spears and other tools in their hands.

If they keep following, they will have no experience, after all, the surrounding birds and beasts are hiding.

This may be a way of hunting for these dumb monkeys. For prey that is not sure whether it can be taken, they first decide to look around and see the situation.

Carney was about to leave to see other places. He heard from the man last time that the Forbidden Forest was divided into several territories, but the man only knew the situation in the area near them.

At this time, a sudden change occurred, but it was not for Kani. A black shadow flashed across the branches, and a stupid monkey was brought to the ground and then dragged into the bushes.

The stupid monkeys yelled and moved up, hugging each other in twos and threes, roaring towards the bushes, and some threw the guys in their hands.

Carney saw what looked like a black hunter cat, like a leopard, probably.

He floated the flying tree downwards. There were basically traces of the claws of wild beasts on the tree trunk, as if it was climbing a tree, and its jumping ability was amazing.

"So it was them that was staring at me before?" Carney touched the claw marks embedded in the trees. They were far different from his claws, but they were more suitable for climbing trees, perhaps silently.

After being exposed, other hunters also appeared, and some dumb monkeys that had no time to climb were bitten by leopard-like predators and dragged into the bushes.

The stupid monkey seems to have good eyesight, but its ears are not good at hearing sounds. The predators took advantage of it when it surrounded Kani.

What came and went quickly, only two of the stupid monkey companions met with misfortune. There were only three predators, which should be enough.

"It's really an eye-opener. Survival of the fittest, natural selection, and the Forbidden Forest are just dead silence." Carney's eyes were opened this time, to see people and nature up close.

Carney jumped out of the woods and flew into the sky. He did not forget the purpose of coming out. He could not be dazzled by the red flowers and green leaves in front of him. He planned to circle around the dark forest to see how far the eight-eyed spiders had developed. .

Kani then encountered various attacks. Strange birds flew out of the woods and tried to peck him. That was all. However, the bloody forest was even more terrifying. The trolls threw their big sticks at Kani.

But the accuracy was not good, and many of the sticks they threw hit their own monsters on the head. Carney still remembered that there was a giant monster, but it didn't appear today.

Seeing red pustules and various tumors again, Carney was still a little unable to bear it. He did not pursue the source of these ghosts. After a cursory look, he saw that there were many spider corpses lying on the red soil.

The spiders should have avoided the black forest and spread to both sides, towards the back of the people and the bloody woodland. In this way, they can directly enter the ordinary woods outside without getting close to the black forest on the other side.

Carney returned to the spider territory and did not see Xiao Hei's big guy. He didn't stay too long. Instead, he went directly to the woods near the mountain. It was an ordinary forest. He remembered that the Thestrals were there. And the lambs in Hagrid’s pen.

Xiao Hei was not in the form of a giant snake at all at this time. She found the snake's nest in a short while, opened her big mouth like a greedy snake and ate in a circle, and she was almost full in less than ten minutes.

As usual, she was practicing to consolidate her human form. A little girl wearing a wizard's robe was twisting on the ground. After confirming that she couldn't move like this, she stretched out her unskilled hands to support the trees and stood up.

This is too difficult. How can I walk on two legs? Xiao Hei stuck out her tongue and frowned, her feet felt like they were stuck to the ground. She clearly wanted to move forward, but she just didn't know which leg to take first.

Left leg or right leg? She has always used both legs together, and has no experience of spreading her tail sideways.

"Ouch." Xiao Hei took out her leg. She didn't know which one it was, and then the other one followed suit and took a step out. As a result, she fell straight to the ground. Before she fell, she raised her chin. It was impossible for her to land on her face if she fell like this, so she instinctively raised her head and exposed her chin.

She closed her hands and feet in a surrendering manner and twisted left and right on the ground, unable to move at all.

It was obvious that her master was walking very easily, but she felt it was difficult to move an inch. She stood up unsteadily again, with no stains or mud on her body.

The chin that fell to the ground and the white neck were also covered with black mud, but she didn't care, because they were all scales on her surface. Just rub them in the bushes and then rub them into the owner's clothes and they would be clean.

This time she planned to take her time, her calves squirmed a little bit, her left leg a little bit on one side and her right leg a little on the other, and finally she could move.

Then she started to speed up, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left and right, the speed became faster, as if she was floating, because to outsiders it seemed that she did not take any steps at all, and her legs were straight and did not move.

Even though it was moving a little bit, Xiao Hei's speed could already catch up with the running speed of a normal person, which looked weird.

Xiao Hei mastered the technique and stuck out his tongue happily. So that’s it, this is walking.

"Oops!" The ground in the forest was not very stable. He hit a tree root, and Xiao Hei's straight body began to change from a 90-degree angle to the ground to a zero angle.

The legs began to transform back into snake bodies, and the human form could not be maintained for long.

Eh! ? Xiao Hei looked at the lower body of his legs and twisted a few times. He felt a little relaxed. The snake body was still easier to use. He raised his upper body and the part below the belly returned to the shape of a snake. Xiao Hei crossed his two index fingers a few times and turned into a snake. The trend back to the original shape has stopped.

so be it. Xiao Hei feels that this is the correct image for them. They walk the same as they always do, and they retain their human characteristics, which is the best of both worlds.
