Heaven Destroyer

Chapter 76: Supreme Bloodline or trap?

Everyone looked at the boy with a strange expression, in which Ayaan's group was included. The boy walked towards the crystal ball with a slow pace, standing in front of the ball and placed his hand on the crystal.

Ayaan narrowed his eyes when he activated his skill, and a shocked expression appeared on his face. Previously he didn't probe the boy's strength because he didn't think much about a poor boy.

But at this moment, when he tried to look into the boy, he became stunned. for some time Ayaan wasn't able to say anything due to shock.

As Luke placed his hand on the crystal ball it changed its colour. After becoming yellow it didn't stop and turned green, red and black. When it turned black, everyone was left gobsmacked. No one thought a poor boy like him would have such a terrifying potential.

However, before anyone could completely believe their eyes, the black light slowly started to turn into a golden colour. It didn't take long before the crystal ball burst into a golden colour.

No one knew how to respond, the place was pin-drop silence. Gradually the golden light faded away from the crystal ball. The middle-aged man looked at Luke and said with a smile, "So, do you want to join me and go to the central region?"

At this time, Luke smiled and replied politely, "I am sorry, but I want to go to the central region by my own efforts. So I will wait to become powerful enough to reach there."

As Luke's voice echoed in the area, people looked at him as if he was some kind of an idiot. They thought he was some kind of a genius but they again remembered that he was just a roadside sales boy, without the knowledge of the magic world. Such an amazing opportunity came on its own but this idiot refused to take it.

Hearing Luke's refusal, the man just smiled slightly and said, "Alright, but if you ever reach the central region, go to the heavenly palace. We would be glad to accept you as a disciple in the palace. Now, you can go back."

Luke bowed slightly towards the man and walked out of the stage. However, he didn't go towards the area he came from. On the contrary, he walked towards the place where the people of the Life Temple were standing.

Everyone looked at Luke in confusion. Is he going to challenge those from the Life Temple or something? He must have a death wish if he has those thoughts. Everyone had their own thoughts but no one spoke at this moment.

Ayaan looked with his narrowed eyes at Luke. Like other people, he also had his own thoughts. When previously he tried to find the boy's strength he was shocked to find that Luke was at the peak of the Great mage. No roadside boy could become that powerful without the support of any faction or sect. Not everyone was like Ayaan, after all.

Just when Luke reached in front of the group of the Life Temple, everyone bowed at him and let him stand in front of them. Every person present at the scene looked at Luke in dismay. No one knew what was going on. But some intelligent people were able to guess something.

"So he was someone from the Life Temple, pretending to be a poor guy. Interesting," Ayaan looked at Luke with a smile. As if sensing his gaze, Luke turned towards Ayaan and nodded. There was no arrogance on his face. It was the first time Ayaan saw someone from the temple so down to earth. But he didn't know if that was his real face or he was still pretending.

All the people from the undead shrine were looking at Luke as if he had murdered their wife, but he completely ignored them.

Nonetheless, the test continued. Gradually, all-powerful forces completed the test and people of the minor forces as well started to go over the stage.

"Alright, I am going to test next." Noor hoped excitedly and walked towards the stage.

When she placed her hand, the crystal ball changed the colour and when it turned red, it didn't change any more. After completing her talent test, Noor went back to his place and Isobel went on the stage.

Isobel also only produced only red light; though not satisfied, she couldn't do anything about it. As she went off the platform, Rebecca placed her hand on the crystal ball.

When the end result was produced, everyone was surprised. Because she was able to turn the crystal ball into black colour. Only a few people were able to do such a thing previously. And they were all from the powerful factions.

Finally, it was Ayaan's turn, he looked at the crystal ball which was producing white light. He placed his hand and felt as if the warm light entered his body and started to roam inside his blood vessels.

It was a comfortable feeling, it felt like he was bathing inside the hot spring. He didn't know how they made this crystal ball, but this thing was amazing. The warm feeling spread throughout his body and finally arrived in front of his consciousness.

However, just as that white light neared his consciousness, a strange light was produced from his soul and the white light immediately retreated, as if it was frightened of the light inside the consciousness. But the light didn't remain, as the white light retreated, it also disappeared.

Ayaan still remembered that this light had saved him once, but why is it behaving like this in front of this light. 'Maybe, it doesn't want any energy to invade its territory.' Ayaan thought, but he didn't sound confident about his own theory.

'If it was this territorial, does it mean it has a consciousness of its own?' as his train of thoughts reached there, a shiver ran down through his spine.

If that was really true, someone was residing inside his consciousness with intelligence. He didn't know what he would do if that thing wanted to do something bad to him. But suddenly, he remembered that the light wasn't a single consciousness which was living in him. There was someone else, the heaven destroyer dog.

Though it had helped Ayaan once, he didn't know if he had any ulterior motives. Previously he was new to this world and naive. Therefore, he didn't realise, the legacy of the heaven destroyer could be a trap as well.

However, he didn't know the truth of the matter; so he didn't know what he should do. Anyways, it wasn't the time to think about those things. He opened his eyes, gradually. He looked at the crystal ball and became stunned. He had expected many possibilities but didn't expect it would happen.

Though the crystal ball had changed the colour it was just a green colour. Barely enough to qualify to enter the heavenly palace. Previously, he thought he would at least be able to produce black colour if not golden. Even the white light of the crystal was afraid of the power residing inside him. So it was normal, he thought.

But after looking at his result, he didn't know what to say. Why it was just a green light. He should be at least black rank if the crystal ball didn't explode because of his awesome talent.

He thought about many possibilities but he was sure if he was correct. Maybe it was because the strange light wasn't part of his body and was outside the source.

But then he thought of another thing. He had become the heaven destroyer, his bloodline completely changed, even his status was showing the supreme bloodline option, now. Shouldn't it affect my talent in some way?

What was the use of having supreme bloodline then or is it also some kind of trap. Does this mean the supreme bloodline is nothing? The more he thought the confusion increased on his face.

Nonetheless, Ayaan didn't dwell on the same topic much longer, he knew he wouldn't be able to get an answer like this. Gradually, he walked out of the stage. He gave a bitter smile and scratched his head in embarrassment.

However, there was no change in the faces of the ladies, and he felt grateful for that. He looked at Isobel and saw the lady still had her usual smile and the way she looked at him didn't change. Ayaan felt strange about this but didn't dwell.

After Ayaan turned towards Armori and saw the man was looking at him disdainfully. Looking at his arrogant face Ayaan just rolled his eyes and didn't say anything but inside his head, he was cursing the man.

'He is acting as if he is already Archmage. What right does he have to give me that looks? He is so old and yet, he is still at the great mage level,' though Ayaan didn't say it out loud. He still wasn't sure if he could defeat the man or not.

Finally, he turned towards the stage again. Everyone had already tested their talent and those who would enter the heavenly palace were already selected.
