Chapter 524: Dress and Robe

The night before Christmas, there was a heavy snowfall in the castle at the right time. Snowflakes fell on the castle and grounds, adding some unique embellishments to the place.

There was a thick layer of ice on the black lake, and Durmstrang's big ship was also frozen. It flickered in the sun, and there was a layer of crystal white frost hanging on the sail ropes... It looked better than before. A lot.

Christmas breakfast is hot stew and delicious pudding. Although it is a holiday, there are no fewer people in the castle at all, and the auditorium is still as crowded as before.

"The food at Hogwarts is too greasy." Fleur put a few corn tortillas and boiled potatoes on her plate and complained softly: "I feel like I can't even fit in my dress robes."

Kyle calmly ate the stew on his plate without saying a word...after all, he had heard similar words many times recently.

Sometimes Kyle even suspected that even if he gave Fleur a plate of vegetable leaves, she might feel greasy.

But Kangna next to her seemed to take it seriously. She looked at the food on Hibiscus's plate, which was enough for an owl to eat, and compared it with the large bowl of stew she had just brought in front of her. After hesitating for a moment, she said with difficulty He put it back on the table.

“It doesn’t matter, just eat it.”

Kyle pushed the bowl back casually, "When you grow taller next year, your current dress and robe will definitely need to be replaced. Just buy new ones then."

"No." Kangna shook her head and whispered, "Only today..."

Then she also got some tortillas.

Fleur seemed to realize something at this time, turned to stare at Kyle, and said in a bad tone: "You mean, I won't grow taller?"

"No, no, no, I didn't mean that...you said it yourself." Kyle shrugged, pretending to refuse to admit it, which made Fleur very angry.

After eating, they returned to the Hufflepuff common room and began to open their Christmas presents.

Fleur's gifts were also delivered here and piled up into a small mountain in the corner of the lounge, but she only picked out a few items from them. As for the rest, she put them all in a box and gave them away. The carriage returned to Beauxbatons.

They spent the whole morning in the common room sorting out the Christmas gifts they had received, and then they all returned to the Great Hall for a sumptuous lunch.

The house elves in the kitchen have prepared a new snack this time, Kribiki wizard shortbread cookies... The sound is really crispy, and every bite is like setting off a firework in the auditorium, with crackles everywhere The sound was very lively.

Finally, the time came in the afternoon, and as soon as six o'clock arrived, Kangna immediately jumped up from her chair and went back to the dormitory to prepare for the dance.

Not only Kangna, there was no girl in the common room after six o'clock.

"Two hours...it's just a change of clothes. Do they need to take so long?" Mikel said he couldn't understand.

At seven o'clock, the sky gradually darkened, and Kyle stopped playing wizard chess with Cedric. They returned to the dormitory and changed into their respective formal robes.

 …

At half past seven, everyone came out of the dormitory one after another. The common room looked strange. The people inside were no longer uniformly dressed in school uniforms and robes, but became colorful...

Mikel put on a navy blue dress robe, looking much more mature than before, while Ryan's was burgundy.

As soon as the two of them walked out of the dormitory, they slammed the table, attracting everyone's attention.

"Girls..." Ryan said with a smile, "You guys definitely don't know what you're missing..."

"If you are referring to yourself..." Hannah looked at Ryan up and down, and couldn't help but joked: "Then, I guess I didn't miss anything."

“Hey, don’t say that,” Susan Burns pushed her friend and couldn’t help laughing: “He is my dance partner, please save him some face.”

"Thank you for your recognition of me, Hannah..." Ryan said angrily, "But I disappoint you. I'm not talking about myself, but...oh, he's here." Everyone followed his gaze. go.

So, Kyle, who had just walked out of the dormitory, saw this strange scene in front of him... Almost everyone in the entire common room was staring at him.

"What are you doing..." Kyle looked down at his dress robe in confusion, "I put on the wrong dress robe? No."

"Oh..." Susan couldn't help but take a breath, and then tugged on the arm of her friend next to her, "Hannah, do you think it's still too late for me to change my dance partner?"

But Hannah did not answer. Like everyone else, she was also looking at Kyle.

For most of the Hufflepuff students, this was the first time they had seen Kyle wearing anything other than his school uniform.

Wearing a black velvet dress robe, the collar and cuffs were decorated with a simple pattern with gold thread... It was obviously a very normal dress robe, but somehow, it made Kyle's temperament immediately different from before. .

 “I’m so envious…” Susan sighed, “I don’t know who Kyle’s dance partner is…”

“Is there any need to think about it?” Ryan walked over.

But before he could speak, a voice came from behind them.

 “Have you all changed?”

"oh…"

There was another sound of breathing in the lounge.

"I think I know who you are talking about." Susan looked at Kangna behind her and couldn't help but said: "She is so beautiful..."

Connor seems to have really listened to Professor McGonagall's advice. Instead of using a hair tie, she carefully braided her hair into a simple bun.

The original baggy school uniform has been replaced by a robe made of apricot fabric. She doesn't have any extra accessories on her body, but she doesn't need them. It's just so beautiful that people can't take their eyes away.

"You all look at what I'm doing..." Kangna lowered her head, "Am I wearing the wrong clothes?"

"Oh, I'm more sure they are dance partners." Susan muttered quietly.

"Don't worry, it's not." Kyle walked over, "You are...well, very beautiful."

"Thank you..." Connor whispered, "Are we going to the auditorium now? We should wait for Cedric, he doesn't seem to have come out yet."

"Let's go to the auditorium first." Kyle said, "Professor McGonagall told us that we have to go in advance."

“Okay.” Kangna nodded with a smile, and then the two of them walked through the barrel door and walked toward the auditorium.

“They’re such a perfect match,” Hannah couldn’t help but say.

“Who says it’s not?” Mikel smiled.
