I Became A System

Things are getting spicier from Aaron's perspective. Since the day that they encountered a demon, Goblin General to be precise, he kept on thinking about how things can contribute to Ellena's growth. Also, ever since that day, the coming of demons became unclear as it may appear to be earlier than what happened in the previous timeline.

However, a question stands on the way. Were they early? Or was the supposed announcement wasn't just on the date? This may be a work of the light in the underworld that keeps on hiding demons and prepare the world.

The other events appeared to be fuel to his eagerness. The possible incarnation of one of the '7 Deadly Sins', his discovery of the vastness of the world, he seems to be confused about where to start. 

If he starts gaining his own body, it can also mean that he'll have to be independent of Ellena, and Ellena's short movement hinders him in that way.

However, it can also mean that he can't do anything if Ellena's not affected by it. If there is no development in Ellena, it could also mean that he won't get any clue about his evolution.

'Ugh, what a pain. That mission excites me, however, I can't do much.'

The meeting appeared to be short than he anticipated. They just planned on how to be noble first. Since they are children of nobles, they have the stepping stone in entering the Royal Descendants Academy.

Ellena, alone in her room was also thinking of what will happen in the future. If she remains the way she is right now, it could be seen that she didn't improve in terms of her system. She was still stuck at level 3, where her points are still not budging.

"Status." She chanted in her dismay. As her dispirited tone became noticeable to Aaron, he couldn't help but ask her.

"Ugh." Unconsciously, Ellena groaned.

"What's the matter?" Aaron asked.

'It's just, I'm still level 3. I can't appear to level up since everyone knows my scheme of pranking them to be scared of me.' Ellena replied in a downed tone.

Aaron, just flying over her noticed it too. Even his calculation with the help of his nature can't help her problem.

'She's right. Being stuck here means no points for us. But it doesn't remain there right now. We have an objective given by Lushana, so we can go out to study the surroundings.'

"Don't worry. I can see that a new opportunity is out there! We have an objective right, it won't be bad if we venture out for a while."

'It could be. However, this isn't just about having people fear me. It's getting more complicated since I don't have the practice anymore. It will obviously take time with this new environment. I can't victim scums if there are not scums.'

More into Ellena's dismay, Aaron thought of everything he could exploit points. Pranking is removed since it became ineffective if they notice it. However, an idea just popped out of his brain.

Excitedly, Aaron shared his thoughts. By listening to it, Ellena started to understand what it clearly means.

"You can continue in Adventurers' Guild! If you became a high-ranker, with ease, you can take care of them by just pointing your sword."

'That's something I won't dare.'

Aaron just can't believe that there is still room for Ellena's personality to improve. He sees it as immaturity. This world is nothing compared to her pity. If she can play with the world's basic rules, she can remain at the top of them.

"I can't believe you. You still haven't matured, huh."

Being unable to hold Aaron's words, Ellena spoke with her mouth, "What do you mean?"

"The world is ruled by strong and weak became feeding stock for the strong. Even kids these days would understand that."

Ellena just lowered her head. That phrase appears to be true, the reality that she was ignoring.

Aaron already knew that Ellena's kindness makes her stupid and ignorant of things. Since she grew up in a place where she wants to care, she appears to be the one who wants to care for those who can't receive it.

However, it was contradictory to the world's background. If she'll remain that way, she'll die fastly.

Aaron just seems to not find the right words. But the next statement that Ellena made, gave him realization.

"I know that. But I don't want to abuse it. At least, I can be the one who is unique to others."

Aaron just smiled awkwardly. "You don't fail to surprise me with your morals. I see, if that's what you think, then stay that way. But I hope you can make an exemption. What I suggested wasn't for the means of hurting others. Perhaps it can even encourage them to become strong."

Ellena was silent for a moment then she sighed. "I guess you are right."

"See. Think positively of things. You're too ignorant. You received a greater gift and you don't use it to your advantage. What a waste."

'Forgive me. I was just thinking of it on the wrong path.'

Ellena surrendered herself in the bed. She drowned herself in the soft wide bed that only she can use. Apparently, each of them was given individual rooms. 

'I'll sleep. You better sleep too, Aaron.'

It was 5 months since I got this body. And not even once I tried to bless Ellena. Since it is for offensive situations, I can barely think of a proper way to execute it.

However, I convinced her finally, we can continue the journey we paused. Since she decided to continue in the rankings, it might be better to really play secretly. If Ellena played anonymously, it could mean that people will be wary of her if she's finally at the top. And that means we can exploit that to collect points.

Seems to be shady and dark, but it's necessary. We can't be stupid and be limited by morals. This world is hard to live with morals, this isn't easy as Earth which unity is slowly developed in the world by some people.

I wonder what would happen if I gain a new body. Will I look more akin to humans? Or I will become more non-resemblance to them. But it doesn't matter, helping Ellena is important. If I finally finished helping her, perhaps ambition is welcome to entertain.

Right now, I should check the city first. Even though the county is more like a province, it will help us if we can save time in geography. Practical to be exact. Not just descriptions from books.

Well then, I will visit the city even it's already this late at night.
