I Became A System

After taking the robber down, the guard was obviously showing some surprised expression. He didn't expect it huh. Or, more so, don't believe it. But, it's okay. It's even better not to get recognized.

Speaking of not getting recognized, maybe Ellena could register as an anon adventurer. In that way, she will learn some survival tactics and be able defend herself from powerful foes.

The young man was speechless, obviously. And if I observe what he's doing, he really likes to extend the conversation. And he is not one of those social extroverts persons. 

"Of course! No worries... So should I help you with your errands?"

Errand? Why would he thing that Ellena is an errand girl? Uh! Maybe because of Ellena's clothes. It is really not that decent to see. Not, not too decent, it's just an average garments. There's no extravagance in her clothes. However, her beautiful face makes the price of these clothes prohibitively expensive.

Ellena was thinking of a way to escape from this boy. Because she can't have other people know her. Just last night, she killed a slave trader, so she needed to be away from the people in this town.

"Maybe you should report this first." She pointed at the lying guy. The young man was flustered by not thinking about it. What a stupid one.

"Ah. Sorry. Maybe we can talk some other time? Noelle."

The guard carried the robber on his back and went outside the alleyway. Now, only Ellena was left, and the invisible me. So sad... 

"Should we go back to Isabella?"

"Yes."

Ellena is really kind, and obidient child. She really believes every words I say and without questioning every decisions I make, she conduct it immediately.

Just near the store, we saw Isabella who was still carrying the bag of our items. It was good that no one approached her. Not that approaching her to be friendly, approaching her to harm. There's so much evil humans here. This world is already trash. If not for Ellena, I have already cursed this one to the core.

We got back at the inn and prepared to use the items we bought. We made a plan of going out of this town. Since we need a better start, being in this town is not good. After all, there's such memories that should be forgotten. Especially her family. It's just 5 kilometers away from here. 

They prepared their things and checked out their rooms. We are now venturing into the wild woods... Just kidding, this is a proper road. Just 15 kilometers to the east, we can find the Ester town. It's a nice town from peoples perspective so we should try it. 

And I thought about something that should be put our focus at, their training. They have to at least build a proper amount of stamina which they won't pass out using too much of their abilities. Now that I've mentiond it, there is a helpful ability for Ellena so she can have a stack staminas. There is a pseudo ability for it, and called Stamina Pool. From it, she can consume a little amount of stamina from her leisure times and stack it. But it's really expensive and it's not even worth the time mentioning.

"Ellena, after we reach the town, you need to be ready for everyday training."

"Training?"

"Yes... Maybe you don't know it, since I was just suggesting some moves, but using abilities takes your stamina."

"Eh?! Really!" She was obviously surprised by it. 

"But how will I train?"

"For starters, learn how to control the amount of volts you are producing. At least know how much is joules and volts. Pretty much the same but different measurement and conditions. It's hard to explain since I don't have any brains but the idea is there."

If she could learn how to control it, expanding his lungs would be so easy. Maybe I can give her a plan to jog 2 km and use her abilities for a minimal time. Maybe that would help.

There is also a better way, she can have her abilities always measured but it's hectic in a way of better because we need living things to test it. And it would be bad if we test it on Isabella. She's our companion, not our lab rat.

Hmm... Ah! Maybe some monsters on the way. Their pretty hostile towards humans so it would be not bad to try it on them.

"Ellena. I have an idea, can you try the thing from the robber to the monsters who'll attack you. You can practice controllling your ability. Since the ability you have right now is lightning, make a monster pass out."

"Okay... But it's too cruel to make them suffer."

Yeah. She's still kind.

"Then make Isabella do it. If you really want to live then ask I sabella do all of the things."

She needs a lesson. It's just a normal lesson, but I hope she will understand it.

I noticed that she was making a downed expression. But I was not raising my voice. 

"Sorry. Ellena, practice making things not be measured by cruel and kind. Such things are just illusions."

"I'm sorry. I will try."

A mutated wolf appeared in front of them. With black fur and red eyes, maybe it's a normal monster here. Monsters are really have similar looks to animals.

I already told her what to do and it was good that Ellena was a fast learner. With Isabella at the back, she focused her concentration to her finger. A sparking sound emerged from her finger and a blue light energy appeared. 

Making it minimal, she can recreate a taser. A taser or stun gun is popular for self defense. It can at least take the consciousness of a target by sending small volts to their pulse. The closer the pulse is, the faster the target will pass out.

I'm really proud of Ellena. She already learn how to control her lightning. Maybe it was a bit higher of 1 joules but it was still great. She can now make an easy kill without too much fighting. And it is important to control so she won't overdo it.

After the wolf being knocked down, Ellena took her dagger and stab the vital of the monster. The blood flows out as it gushed a little after pulling the dagger out. After making sure it's dead, Isabella helped her drain the blood and dismantle it. Maybe if we can sell it, or ask what's the use of its material, we can survive at least more than a year with the money we have.

Just doing it like a routine, electrifying the monsters and give it a final attack, we didn't noticed that we reached the Ester Town's gate. 

There are 2 guards guarding it. With a little falling into the line, we were halted when it was our turn.

Apparently, they have a toll here. If you can't show an identification, so we paid 3 silvers as a pass.

The first thing I noticed when we arrived was that it was much larger than the previous city. This town is more huge than the previous and could make it punny compared to this. 

The establishments were well-organized, and the people were exceptionally well-oriented. Not too oriented, at least they know a little general public manners. Overall, this is another 5 for me.

We simply went to the adventurers' guild and registered there. Ellena and Isabella became adventurers, and thankfully, there was no commotion after they registered. I thought that adventurers were just unorganized thugs who had decided to join a guild for a job. But I was wrong. The image of a tavern in the style of an adventurer's guild was removed. The establishment was proper and what can I say more about it? The office vibe I felt.

The office vibe that I felt was like you were paying a bill at the main office of the company. And wait in line by sitting down in the rows of chairs. Not bad.

After registering, we searched for an inn and we saw a small inn. The other inns were already fully booked... So bad. And now we are in front of an inn that just looks like an old apartment rather than a hotel.

The windows were clean, but not in good condition. The woods' deterioration is already visible. And there's a creaking sound with every step you make that makes it so nervous that it may surrender after a few steps.

But... it was still good. They know how to take care of customers, and our room is clean and well-organized.

Now, we just need a plan for the night.

"Aaron. What are we going to do with the slaves? You said that we would find them a nice slave trader, right?"

Yes. I said that and I haven't forgotten that. That was also the reason why I chose this town for our starting point, because of the infamous red light district or brothel. It's not that we will pay for one, we will just have to find some nobles there. It's a noble hunting ground.

I told Ellena about our plan. It was just that we would wait outside and find some wealthy individuals and threaten their lives if they didn't send a proper slave trader. That's all. It was simple, after all, it was a surprise attack. So no one will be alert and prepare some plenty of guards. I've already discovered the appropriate ability to put that plan into action.

"Would you like to exchange the ability Stealth for 10 points."

We just have 11 points left. This mission will also help us replenish some points. If we could have some punny nobles to threaten, they could give us plenty of points. Maybe 3 to 5 if we get lucky.

And I started the process. I installed the ability and waited the night to set. 

We left Isabella with an instruction of not waiting for us.

"Are you leaving me? Is it because Big Sister doesn't like my rune?" 

"Of course not. We have a job to do, and it is to help the slaves we left behind."

By explaining it to Isabella, she already understood it. But I can tell that she still doubts it. She really thought that we would leave her.

"Don't worry, Isabella. You are already my sister right?"

From what Ellena said, a smile was painted on Isabella's face. 

"I'm sorry for doubting you, Big Sister. I'm sorry." She hugged Ellena and started to burst into tears. Ellena, on the other hand, caressed Isabella's hair a comfort. 

"Don't worry. I am also scared of being alone... So don't cry anymore. Okay?"

"Okay!"

That was a tearing moment. I almost forgot that I don't have a physical body. Just looking at them, I can already feel that Ellena found a real family that would care and love her.

After saying some temporary farewells, we got out of the inn. Of course, the stealth ability was really useful, even the inn didn't notice us going out. It erased Ellna's presence completely without leaving any trace.

The red light district opens at night and, surprisingly, there is a long line of establishments. Different buildings of brothels. There are brothels that accomodate cheap price and there are expensive too. And of course, we chose expensive.

Ellena wore black clothes to blend in with the night. Since light is limited, it would be a nice outfit. Our ninja for the night.

We sneaked into a room and waited for the customers to arrive. Since there were prostitutes already waiting, I just instructed Ellena to make them sleep.

Who's our lucky guest?!

After waiting a few seconds, the door opened and a young man with blonde hair entered. He was halted for a moment, seeing Ellena, who clearly couldn't be recognized because of the cover. A fear point emerged from the man's head. Hah! He's scared!

"Ellena, grab him immediately and paralyze his legs."

Ellena nodded and released a small thread of lightning, hitting the legs of the man. Of course, as a reflex, you will fight a threat or flee from it. Since he couldn't flee, he shouted for help.

"Help! Guards!"

Ugh! What a pain. Two huge men followed, getting inside the room. The blonde head had already made a smug face, but let's cut it there. You're too proud of your cowardice.

"Ellena, hit the guards making them pass out. If that blonde head saw how you knocked down the guards, he would produce more fear points."

Just as I instructed, she hit the guards within a second, making them pass out.

"N-no way." The blonde head was flustered and left in tremble as he saw his dogs down. Too bad.

"If you make any sounds, I can't ensure your life."

"Heek!"

Nice follow Ellena. You're learning how to be a proper bad ass.

And it was great! Just after Ellena released her killing intent, huge amount of fear points emerged from that blonde head. It can be considered as farming. This is the best. There was already 3 point within that seconds. If this goes on, maybe we will reach 10. I didn't expected that we would find a treasure here.

"What do you want?!"

"You are direct to the point. Not bad."

Ellena? Was that you? I forgot for a second that you were such a nice kid.

"Uhm... Ellena... Don't be too harsh."

I'm slowly taking back my words. I don't want Ellena's to be lost. I just want her learn the real reality.

"No, Aaron. He was planning to **** this girls."

Stupid! Aaron, you're stupid! Of course, she was thinking about somebody's sake. But it was still futile. Ellena didn't know what a brothel was. She thought that that guy came here to ****, but the truth is, to buy a service.

"You. Come here. Which family are you from?"

"Heek! I-I am... fr-from H-house o-f-f-of T-Tarjz-z-zetta!"

"So you're a noble. You know the city 15 km away from here? I want you to put a new slave trader there. A nice one! If you make it, I will spare your sins."

"Heek!"

Nice one! Nice one! You are learning how to be harsh on others, Ellena.

"O-of cours-se..."

"Good. If you try to escape this fate, I will wipe out your family. I know that they are full of sins."

Huh? Ellena knows that? Hmmm... Let me think... Tarjzetta... Ah! From 5 years ago! The family who rumoredly stole from the governments budget. So Ellena still remembers that rumor which her family started. It still a nice one of a memory, but... hm.... okay!

"Okay! Pl-please sp-spare m-my l-life."

"I will. I will visit the slave market soon. So you better not be the reason of your families annihiliation."

Ellena. You receive a medal of honor. That was a nice play. I didn't even need to teach you how things work. You already learned it by yourself. And, obviously, by observing. You're a genius!
