I Hate Systems

1114 It’s Time For The Main Character

"Come on, croak for Grandpa." Immortal had the time of his life as he smacked the face of the Regression System repeatedly. Instead of defending against the opponent's attacks, he traded blow for blow, focusing his entirety on offence.

He didn't simply attack the Regression System but instead went out of his way to target its face. The Regression System was a giant mass of Mental Energy akin to a quasar that pulsed in the void. But the region where its Core Skill existed could be considered its brain, heart, etc.

And in human terms, the exterior of the head that faced the opponent during a fight was the face. Immortal targeted that like a leech even during situations where he gained a direct path of access to the Regression System's Core Skill.

Once he kept up with the process enough times, even the Regression System was triggered. Mental Energy swirled in its body like a storm as it latched onto Immortal and ate away at him.

Suddenly, Immortal's palm shone with a gentle light as he touched the Regression System's body. Nothing happened for a couple of seconds, but suddenly, the cries of the Regression System filled the void.

Enema!

The energy developed by Hazen. At the end of the day, it was the product of a cultivation world. And once he succeeded, Compass Carburettor released the variable necessary to generate Enema in all the cultivation worlds when he healed them by sacrificing Grade 1 Systems.

As a result, once the cultivation worlds began to generate Enema, Immortal was gradually able to harness this power.

The Enema palm singed the Regression System. At the same time, in the System World, a vine that ran through it, composed of the Regression System's data trembled. A small branch that extended out of it burned up and vanished.

Attacks using Enema targeted the source data itself. As a result, if the Regression System were to be killed by Immortal, the vine possessing all its data in the System World would wither up and turn into ashes.

The Regression System would truly be dead by that point.

At the Regression System's shriek, the Reincarnation and Transmigration Systems became alert and targeted Immortal, intending to destroy him first, no matter the cost.

"Don't behave as if I don't exist." Technocraft's voice thundered behind the Reincarnation System as his two turbines spat forth a sea of flames that singed its back.

Magic circles manifested throughout the Transmigration System's body and resulted in a million explosions. Tiny particles of Mental Energy flew out as a result, ejected out of the Transmigration System's body.

Hiss!

Dita flashed through the void and swallowed these fragments. Its body flickered in and out of the bodies of the Systems, traversing space as if it were fish in water. It mostly went unnoticed as its actions were inconspicuous. Moreover, it travelled through alternate dimensions, only surfacing to swallow fragments of the three Grade 4 time-based Systems before retreating into its burrow.

The alternate dimension constantly moved around, allowing it to safely paddle through the chaotic battle.

Suddenly, the alternate dimension shattered as Dita found itself in Zaira's hand, clutched with a suffocating force.

"No! My home!" It shouted as the Unlucky Tower of Ruin crumbled into pieces. Three light rays flashed out of it and entered Zaira's body. A couple of seconds later, Stencil, Gehera, and Rhizen revived.

"Always sneaky." Zaira was just about to destroy Dita when she stopped to observe in surprise, "Hahaha! From a rat, you became a snake, Gilthru. How embarrassing."

Her two primary hands choked Compass Carburettor. The secondary hand on her right held the Ring of Secrecy while the secondary hand on her left held Dita.

Even though she was applying pressure, the Ring of Secrecy was robust enough to resist. It was why she hadn't shattered it yet. But, it was only a matter of time.

"Shit! Don't kill me! Uncle, save me!" Dita wailed pitifully as she turned around to stare at Compass Carburettor, alarmed to see him gazing at her with a calm, cold gaze, as if she amounted to nothing, "No…why?"

"I merely created you in memory of Dita. The original is in limbo at the dump yard." Compass Carburettor smiled as he erased a line of Lore subtly. "You're just a tool that served its purpose. Now, remember your past."

Dita's eyes gained a sense of cunning as the fake mind of Dita collapsed and reformed into Slayer. As his life was about to end, Slayer noticed what was happening in his body as he shouted towards Zaira, "Watch out!"

"Eh?" Zaira was stunned by the changes within Dita, "Did you wake up, Gilthru?"

But she reacted an instant late as the serpent lost all signs of life. Its body collapsed into mist that covered Zaira's secondary left hand, dissolving it in an instant.

Pain!

Zaira shrieked as if she were a mortal whose hand was doused in acid. By the time she managed to react, the mist dissolved her secondary left hand and flowed into Compass Carburettor.

For a moment, Compass Carburettor exerted overpowering strength as he broke free of the chokehold and grabbed the Ring of Secrecy from Zaira, muttering with a relaxed voice, genuinely expressing satisfaction.

With pride, he smiled, "It's time."

Central Plains!

Hazen gasped in exhaustion as his energy-blade toad dissipated, having just killed the last System Host. He released all the normal Haggons from his Darble Dungeon, watching them run into an expansive forest. His eyes shone with starlight as he muttered, "It's time."

In the clouds of Central Plains, asleep within a coffin was Ahjar. His eyes shot open, emitting a beam of starlight as he laughed, "It's time."

He snapped his finger, retracting all the defensive arrangements that caused Central Plains to be invisible in the multiverse. Following that, he clapped as all the Secret Society members in Central Plains disappeared alongside him, "Took you long enough, Compass."

"What are you scheming now?" Zaira regenerated her secondary arm as she intended to grab the Ring of Secrecy. She stretched forth and snatched the ring, frowning in confusion when it vaporised.

"It's time." Compass Carburettor closed his eyes as suddenly, millions upon millions of trucks appeared in the void and rushed at him like a swarm. They slammed into him, the flow great enough that they even pushed Zaira to the side.

"It's time to exact revenge upon the Systems that destroyed my home." Hazen's figure manifested next to Compass Carburettor as he glared at Zaira. His body dissolved and fused with Compass Carburettor.

"It's time for thunder." Shen Ze laughed as his figure fused into Compass Carburettor.

"It's time you gave up your throne, Zaira." Slayer's figure manifested as an ethereal projection before fusing into Compass Carburettor.

"It's time to accept some losses." An ethereal figure that seemed to be the fusion of Regression, Reincarnation, and Transmigration appeared, shocking the three Grade 4 Systems. The ethereal figure fused into Compass Carburettor.

"It's time for the multiverse to birth its core." An ethereal figure resembling the Fate System appeared and fused into Compass Carburettor.

"No, stop it!" Zaira roared as she unleashed a multitude of attacks. But the sea of trucks was rampaging between her and Compass Carburettor, tanking all the attacks. The Haggons within served at tough meat shields.

"This…it's dangerous," Technocraft said in worry as he stared at the sea of trucks, for a moment hesitant before he condensed a dozen turbines and unleashed arching plasma beams that swerved down on Compass Carburettor.

Instinctively, whether it be System or Genre Representative, they, for the first time in the multiverse, acted voluntarily and focused attacks on a singular entity.

"Compass mustn't succeed." Mascot shrilled in worry.

"The balance might be toppled." Magister sighed. The sea of trucks tanked all their attacks while being shredded apart rapidly. In a fraction of a second, the attacks vaporised all the trucks and reached Compass Carburettor.

But just as they were about to touch him, time paused for three seconds, throughout the multiverse. And under the stunned gazes of all the peak entities, Compass Carburettor absorbed the blood mist generated by the vaporised Haggon bodies.

While she was stunned, a figure appeared before her and smiled, sending waves of fear up her spine.

"I told you I'll make you regret everything, Zaira." Ahjar laughed as his figure fused into Compass Carburettor. Like an orator, he proclaimed towards the multiverse, "It's Time!"

"For The Main Character!"
