I'm Actually Not Overpowered!

85 Legendary Dragon Slayer... Just Who Are You??! [Pt 1]

"W-what is this place...?" Asa's eyes widened to the point that they nearly looked bloodshot.

It wasn't just her, though.

The other two were the same way—even the usually nonchalant Liebert.

As the evening sun began to set and the moon appeared, the young lady and her party were only a few distance away from their destination.

Of course, they had seen the place from afar. When they did, they had thought it was magnificent.

However, the closer the three Adventurers got to the settlement, their awe increased exponentially.

At this point, they were completely flabbergasted by the sight before their eyes.

"T-this... is simply a settlement?" Asa's voice quivered.

That word felt too trivial, too inadequate, to properly describe the spectacular sight before her. The blonde knew what an actual settlement looked like... and it would be insulting to this masterpiece before her to compare the two.

'A city! This is a city!'

She wasn't exaggerating, though. After observing the tall fence that seemed to stretch on forever, as well as the large structures that peaked from within, Asa was convinced.

The most amazing part was the bright light and warmth that emanated from the city before her.

Asa could feel her heart race and her body tingle as she approached the unknown.

'I-It's amazing... too amazing."

If it hadn't been for her trust in the Legendary Dragon Slayer, as well as her desperation, Asa would not have taken this to be a human settlement—especially due to the fact that it was situated out in the wilderness.

But, she had to press forward! "L-lets keep moving." The young Adventurer instructed her two dumbstruck companions.

"Y-YEAH!"

The three Adventurers received an even greater shock when they drew nearer.

Several humans were already standing in front of the massive gate to welcome them. Asa noticed how smart and professional they all looked, and how they smiled with fervor.

'What's going on here...?'

About thirty people were waiting in a long row, and two particularly important people were standing in the center.

These two women were famous within Dulum, so all three Adventurers knew them quite well.

"S-Sarah Lyniette the Holy Priestess?! Lucy the Strongest Plebian?!" Asa's voice came out louder than she had intended, but her surprise could not be contained.

What were two of the most important Adventurers of Dulum doing here? Were they also here to seek the Legendary Dragon Slayer?

No, that couldn't be right!

'They are standing in front of the gate as though they are a part of this settlement. Does that mean...?!'

Asa came to a sudden realization after which everything made sense. The Legendary Dragon Slayer was indeed a man worthy of awe and respect.

That was probably the reason he had been able to obtain the loyalty of these two Adventurers so easily.

The very same Adventurers who would not stay tied to Dulum despite all the efforts made by the Guildmaster and Vice Guildmaster—or so Asa had heard.

"Welcome, Adventurers from Dulum. We know the one you seek, and he has been expecting your arrival." The Priestess spoke first in a confident tone.

She was dressed in pure white linen, the linen swirled with designs of black and gold, along with a rosary bearing the holy sign of the Goddess wrapped around her neck.

Her blond hair and gentle brown eyes seemed stunning to Asa, making the young lady's heart flutter. Sarah Lyniette was just as the stories described her—an epitome of perfect devotion and beauty.

"Let's not waste any time. I'll let you know a few things before venturing in." Lucy spoke next.

Her crimson eyes narrowed on the three visitors, and despite her short stature, she was very intimidating.

Asa and the others straightened their posture the moment she spoke, realizing the difference in abilities between everyone and the little lady.

'S-so... this is someone who has reached the peak of human ability. A-amazing...'

Asa looked at her with respect shining in her eyes.

"You are only allowed in because 'He' allows it. Since you are his honored guests, we will accord you with due regard.

However, I would advise that you do not make any dangerous moves or suspicious actions.

If you do, I will not hesitate to cut you down."

An aura of unease seemed to fill the air, and the three Adventurers found themselves nodding without thinking about it.

"Very well then. Jason, you may open the door."

Suddenly, the massive gates parted, and a giant being stood at the other end of it.

"W-what?! T-that is—?!" Asa was nearly dumbstruck as she saw the incredibly large Golem.

It was at least fifteen meters in height. Not only did it have a bulky build, but the amount of Mana within it was terrifying.

Asa wasn't sure if any Adventurer in Dulum would be a match for this humongous creature.

Yet...

"Jason here is our gatekeeper. He won't harm you, so let's proceed inside.

... He was a simple gatekeeper?!

'I don't believe this. I can't believe it!'

Even though Asa knew the Legendary Dragon Slayer was a magnificent person, she didn't expect him to rule over such powerful personalities.

Perhaps it was her perception that was flawed. The blond lady realized that now as she proceeded into the city.

"A-ah...!" The moment she entered, the first thing she noticed was the brightness... and then the warmth.

The heat that permeated the air made the chill of the night basically non-existent, but that was nothing compared to the wonderful display of lights that illuminated the vast city she entered.

>DUM!<

The gates were shut behind her, snapping Asa out of her delirious state. Her eyes marveled in awe as she took in the ambiance of a totally different world.

'This place is....amazing!'

She saw buildings made of earth, yet structured so well that they looked unreal.

She noticed how properly arranged their structures were. The tiled surface of the ground made the place look urbane and aesthetically pleasing.

The brightness, the warmth—it was like daytime within the night.

How was something like this possible? The most amazing part was that she couldn't sense an ounce of Mana from the sources of illumination.

None in the slightest!

Asa saw the nightlife of a community brimming with joy—observing as children ran around with smiles on their faces and the entire area bustling with such energy.

It was enough to cause tears to pour from her eyes.

"A-amazing..."
