One is to attract cockroaches through physically mixed glue baits. The chemical perception range of cockroaches is a full two hundred meters, so many cockroaches will come to eat poison after smelling it.

However, the number of cockroaches that can be attracted by this situation is a minority after all, and the real insecticidal effect of imidacloprid lies in the second category.

Cockroach cannibalism.

That's right, cockroaches will eat the corpses of their own kind.

Live cockroaches like to eat the corpses and excrement of dead cockroaches, so when walking on the road, you can occasionally see some cockroach corpses with their tails or heads hollowed out, which are the remains left by cannibalism.

The spread of imidacloprid relies on this habit, but the number of generations that imidacloprid can act on generally does not exceed three generations, and dead cockroaches do not carry pheromones, so the effect of attracting similar species is limited.

At present, the best imidacloprid glue bait for civilian use in China is Bayer’s Baimishi, which is expensive but has amazing effects. A drop of rice grain-sized glue bait can kill about 60 cockroaches continuously, and the number of generations is between 2 and 2.5 generations.

In addition, the well-known Tibetan fox teacher Xiaoliang once shared a recipe, which is boric acid powder + sugar + mashed potatoes.

The ratio of boric acid powder to sugar is 1:1, and the amount of potatoes is suitable for kneading, and a little bit of each corner is ready.

The main thing that works is boric acid powder, which cockroaches eat to dehydrate them to death, sugar to attract cockroaches, and potatoes to knead into balls.

Baimeshi is basically the ceiling of the current broad-spectrum cockroach killer. There are some that can exceed its effect, but it is difficult to achieve mass production.

However, the amount of cockroaches that can be killed by ordinary doses of baimishi seems to be a lot, but it is the same for the prevention and control of large areas. It is ok to kill a small room of 30 square meters, but the large house of more than 100 square meters depends on the amount of money. Go fight.

Therefore, Xu Yun's goal is obviously not as simple as being at the same level as it.

After everything was ready, Xu Yun picked up the dropper and squeezed a fourth-generation imidacloprid glue bait on each of the three small plates.

In the No. 2 container, several cockroaches that had eaten the glue bait retreated one after another, and then a group of new members came up.

This situation lasted for three full rounds. On the 4th, it was placed in the container with the dead man, and just now the cockroach began to take its first bite.

It also contains pheromone components, but the effects of chemical synthesis and physical mixing are quite different.

A few minutes later, the cockroaches in box No. 6 officially gathered around the glue bait.
