Monster Hunting High School

Chapter 25 School Working Committee Building

First University places great emphasis on the concept of self-discipline in campus management.

The entire university is under the overall responsibility of one president and two vice-presidents. The principal oversees the overall situation, only gives some guiding opinions on school affairs, and rarely participates in specific affairs. Specific school affairs are managed by the two vice presidents through professors’ joint meetings and the school working committee.

The professors' joint meeting is composed of all the school's in-service teaching staff and is mainly responsible for the school's teaching work.

Different from the professors' joint meeting, the school working committee is one of the two major management organizations of First University. Its members are mainly composed of retired professors, lecturers and recruited professional school workers. Only a few retired faculty retired because of their age, and most of the rest retired sadly due to experimental accidents or failed promotions.

The full name of the School Working Committee is the ‘First University Campus Affairs Management Working Committee’. Because most of the committee members are school workers wearing gray robes, students habitually refer to it as the ‘School Working Committee’.

As the name suggests, all campus affairs belonging to First University are within the responsibility of the school working committee. From annual teaching plans to course schedule arrangements; daily campus facility maintenance, night campus security patrols; and even three of the school's four autonomous organizations, they are all guided by the school working committee.

Due to the complexity of the affairs it is responsible for, the school working committee is also divided into three main offices: First University Internal Affairs Committee, First University Safety Affairs Committee, and First University Foreign Affairs Committee. Even so, retired teachers alone are completely unable to handle the delicate and complicated campus work matters.

Therefore, in addition to using credits to recruit students and teaching assistants to serve on the school working committee, First University also implements volunteer punishment measures throughout the school. Any student who violates school rules or violates school disciplines will not only receive a written warning, deduction of credits and other punishments from the school, but also needs to work voluntarily under the arrangements of the school working committee.

Zheng Qing walked into this depressing three-story building while recalling the introduction to the school working committee in "Into First University".

According to the address mentioned in the penalty notice, the school working committee office should be in this small black building.

There is no light in the front hall on the first floor, and the light is a bit dim.

Through the dim sky, Zheng Qing could see a reception desk standing deep in the front hall.

There is no one at the front desk, but there is a two-meter-high black tree-shaped bird stand next to the welcome desk. On the criss-crossing branches, seven or eight budgerigars are tilting their heads, staring at the green bean-sized round eyes. With these uninvited guests.

The front room is very quiet.

There are big black mouths at the entrances of the corridors on the left and right sides, silently waiting for guests.

Perhaps because I haven't been exposed to sunlight for a long time, there is always a cool cold wind lingering at the entrance of the corridor.

Several freshmen stood quietly at the door, exchanging glances with each other.

Until a light cough broke the silence.

The gray mouse on Lin Guo's schoolbag was frightened and swooped into the back of the schoolbag.

"Ahem!"

At the highest point of the tree-shaped bird stand, a budgerigar covered its curved beak with its wings and made a clear coughing sound.

The newlyweds looked at the group of parrots in surprise.

"Excuse me!" Zheng Qing tried to say hello.

The heads of the parrots turned in unison, their little eyes fixed on Zheng Qing.

The green bean-sized eyes were dark and shiny, blocking Zheng Qing's upcoming questions back in his throat.

"How to get to the school working committee office?" Zhang Jixin next to him looked at the time and asked anxiously.

The parrots turned their attention to the red-faced boy again.

Zheng Qing breathed a sigh of relief.

For some reason, the looks in the eyes of these green-skinned birds made him a little nervous.

"Newcomer?" the budgerigar at the top of the birdstand asked in a sharp voice.

Several people nodded hurriedly.

The gray mouse on Lin Guo's school bag ran to the front of the bag again, curiously looking at the bird on the branch.

The budgies seemed a little excited and began to flap their wings, shake their round heads, and tap the branches on the bird stand with their curved beaks.

"How do I get to the school working committee office?" Zheng Qing calmed down and couldn't help but repeat Zhang Jixin's question.

The parrots didn't say anything, they just stared at the newcomer and tilted their heads.

Zheng Qing thought they didn't understand, so he slowed down and repeated the question.

The parrots still tilted their heads and made no sound, but one parrot stretched out his claws to grab the food bowl.

"School, work, committee, office, work, room!" Zhang Jixin couldn't help but get under the bird stand and emphasized each word loudly.

"I think they need some reward." Xiao Xiao hugged his notebook and looked at the others: "Who brought the bird food?"

Several people looked at each other and shook their heads.

Zhang Jixin spread his hands helplessly: "We are not a little girl like Li Meng, and we don't raise birds, so how can we carry any bird feed with us?"

"You are the only one who eats the feed! Your whole family eats the feed!" The largest budgerigar high up in the birdhouse yelled.

Zhang Jixin was stunned.

As if it was a signal, in the blink of an eye, other parrots chirped and joined in the condemnation.

"Actually, I don't have any problem with eating feed occasionally. The handful of grass seeds that old man Stendhal fed me last time were very fragrant." A fat parrot nodded slowly to the little friend next to him.

"These newcomers look a little silly!" Another parrot with red spots on its body raised its head proudly and looked down at the new students in the front hall.

"They don't have any birds!" A parrot on the lower shelf looked shocked.

"Aren't they boys? I heard from some senior students at Starry Sky Academy a few days ago that boys all have birds!" Another smaller parrot screamed and jumped on the branch.

Lan Que turned his head with a dark look on his face and covered Lin Guo's ears.

The little boy looked at the group of chirping parrots blankly, obviously not understanding.

Zheng Qing held back his laughter, took out a handful of grains for his hamster from the gray cloth bag, stretched it out to the bird stand, and asked tentatively: "Is this okay?"

The parrot standing at the top of the branch spread its wings, slid down, took a mouthful of hamster food in Zheng Qing's hand, nodded with satisfaction, stretched out his paw to point to the food bowl on the bird stand, and ordered: "Fill it! "

Zheng Qing took out Fei Rui's rations from the gray cloth bag with a smile and poured them all into the food bowl.

It's been a long time since I gave the little guy a new name.

The hamster didn't follow him to the First University, so throwing these things in a gray bag would be of no use. It would be nice to use them to honor these interesting little birds.

"How do you know we are newcomers?" Zheng Qing asked curiously while pouring rations.

"Which old man would ask that stupid question of yours!" The parrot put away its paws and turned its head with disdain on its face.

"What if it's an old student who has never been to the school working committee?"

"No, no, no, you haven't understood yet." The parrot flapped its wings proudly: "The term 'school working committee office' is not accurate. Even the old students would not say that."

The newcomers looked at it curiously, waiting for the next step.

The parrot turned its head and changed the question: "What are you doing here?"

Zheng Qing hesitated for a moment, then took out the penalty notice and handed it to Parrot.

"You are the freshmen who started fighting when they first entered the school?!" The big parrot opened his eyes wide, flapped his wings, and screamed: "The school has spread the news! It is said that a group of good guys entered the school!"

"A hero?!" Zheng Qing asked in a daze, "Who said that?"

"The second boy from the turtledove family next door to my eldest cousin, the starling from my uncle's boss's daughter's family, and a few wild pigeons playing in the autumn wind." The parrot flapped its wings and led the way, saying: "Follow me."

Zheng Qing breathed a sigh of relief.

Turtle doves, starlings, and wild pigeons turned out to be just a group of noisy birds talking nonsense.

He is in a lot of troubles now, and he is most afraid of someone adding fuel to the blazing fire.
