“I was the one who cheated off her.”

After these words came out of Su Lin’s mouth, Lu Yuanyuan saw chocolate cake’s face instantly change.

The originally smiling expression instantly froze, and her face was as black as the bottom of a pot.

“Ha, ha.” She laughed dryly twice, “Senior, don’t joke around…..”

At her words, Su Lin quirked the corner of his lips.

The contours of his face were soft, and when his lips were raised, he looked especially handsome.

  “Joking, my ass.”

  “……”

The girl’s face instantly flushed. Biting her lips, with eyes full of shame and unwillingness, she finally said nothing and quickly turned around.

  “……”

Lu Yuanyuan was still a little confused.

Just now, that person didn’t say those words to her face.

With her personality, even if she clearly knew that they were talking loud enough for her to hear, she wouldn’t take the initiative to question or confront them.

She looked at Su Lin’s face from the side.

The angle was very similar to the first time she saw him in the photo on the forum, only clearer and more three-dimensional.

He had returned to his usual calm, indifferent-to-everything kind of look. The oppressive and imposing aura he had directed towards chocolate cake just a second ago had disappeared.

As if this little episode had never happened.

As if he had just returned from a bathroom break and was waiting for class to start.

In fact, compared to the somewhat sadness she was feeling the past few days, she didn’t feel much after hearing those kinds of words just now.

Just a little bit of discomfort from being suspected of cheating off someone else.

  But with him like this….

That little bit of discomfort also disappeared.

After a while, Su Lin seemed to be aware of her gaze.

He turned his head and met her line of sight.

Lu Yuanyuan blinked at his unexpected action. The words that came out were dry, “Um, senior….”

  “……”

  “Thank you.”

He raised his eyebrows, “Thanks for what?”

  “……”

  Thanks for what?

He’s defending her by saying he copied off her….

But how could she say that…

“Anyway….” Lu Yuanyuan touched her hair, simply ignoring his question, and didn’t look away: “Hey, anyway, just thank you…. “

  Her voice was soft.

Soft, like a kitten’s paws gently scratching him.

Actually, in the dormitory, the fact that the boss liked cute girls wasn’t a matter of a day or two. From the beginning of freshman year, he could frequently hear them talk about the type of girls they liked.

Every time he heard, not only were there no ripples in his heart, but from time to time. would also speak a few unkind and poisonous words.

His eyes fell on Lu Yuanyuan’s face.

Her hair was draped over, blocking a little bit of her face. He could see that she was a little embarrassed. She was originally looking at him with averted eyes and cheeks that were faintly pink.

She was wearing a beige dress today, without any patterns. Because the classroom’s air conditioning temperature was low, she could be seen wearing a cardigan in almost every class.

He never thought he would know such a little girl.

Besides the time after his bike keys were taken to the lost and found, thus causing him to miss his make-up exam, he hadn’t felt any intense emotions for a long time.

But when he heard her being openly mocked, he felt the fire in his chest burning to the core.

When it was time for the break to end, Yan Chuan punctually returned to the podium and began to summarize the lecture.

He withdrew his eyes, and his mood suddenly changed for the better.

After Su Lin finished French class, he also had PE that morning.

He thought of the natures of the guys from the dorm, who would skip every class except for PE, and went straight to the sports field. Once he arrived, as expected, he saw three people standing next to the basketball court, talking about something while shooting the ball.

The four followed the other boys in the class who were in the class together and played ball for the whole period before going to eat.

“Oh yeah, Lin ge,” Qin Fang walked to Su Lin’s side, “There’s another thing. Don’t forget, at the end of next month’s orientation party, when Zhao ge was still here, he would perform every year.”

  “……”

  Su Lin paused.

The Zhao ge Qin Fang was talking about, whose full name was Zhao Jian, was their department’s senior, and also the previous president of the music club.

They had hung out and sang karaoke together in their freshman year. Zhao Jian had let Su Lin and Qin Fang into the music club on the spot. At the time, the two weren’t as addicted to gaming and were free every day. They quite enjoyed playing music so they went.

Zhao Jian was a third year last year, and spent the majority of his time off campus this year. Club positions weren’t as troublesome as the student government, and there was no need for things like voting and making speeches. Unless the majority of the entire club didn’t agree, whoever the president wanted to appoint was basically appointed.

He wanted to appoint Su Lin.

The music club’s legacy in C University was actually only three years. Before that, there was a guitar club, piano club, choir club and so on, very miscellaneous and messy. According to Zhao ge, there weren’t many people in each club and all the clubs had little discipline, pretty much messing around.

He simply established a music club.

Su Lin was attacked by his inspiring tale. His brain was unguarded and readily agreed to the president’s request, which led to this miserable situation.

The president of the club basically had to prepare the program, and was also the biggest attraction at the annual orientation party.

“I’m not going.” He took a sip of water and answered Qin Fang, “When I promised him to be president, I said I wouldn’t participate in these things.”

“And he also bet me that if I perform in the program, I’ll give him a thousand yuan.”

Qin Fang couldn’t help but ask, “What about when you don’t perform?”

“No one will give anyone anything.”

  Qin Fang: “……”

So what’s the point in betting? Just to prove your determination?

Qin Fang: “Uh no, I don’t fucking get it. Such a popularity-increasing thing, why do you make it sound like it’ll kill you?”

Su Lin didn’t say anything and cast him a glance.

This glance made Qin Fang suddenly remember how Su Lin became known to the whole school.

Unedited because I was rushing. Double posting today to make up for last week!

Hi! If some of you guys didn’t notice, I didn’t post on Saturday like I said I would. I’m sorry for that. Last week was genuinely a crazy week in all sorts of ways. I had a lot of real life obligations that really drained me. For example,,, college decisions!!!!!! If anyone had read DC, I believe I’d spent quite a few translator notes talking about college apps and they finally came into fruition last week. I’m happy to say that my grinding last November was not for naught and I got into 3 UCs!! (My other decisions were one rejection, one waitlist, one tbd). Overall, I’m super super grateful that I got into a school at all during this crazy year of college admissions and I’m incredibly blessed to have three great options (and possibly one more?!) to choose from. So yeah, this is me trying to explain my absence. I hope you forgive me :))
