My Journey to Godhood as a Caterpillar

Yun Jhin's rejection of destiny created a chain reaction as the ground started to shake and the clouds above in the sky started to rumble.

Since the celestial emperor's body was destroyed his connection towards the celestial realm was halved, so the realm wanted a replacement. Yun Jhin was the best candidate and considering how weak he currently was the realm helped him to heal up before investing the destiny that was stripped from the emperor into him, however, Yun Jhin declined it!

In a situation where destiny was given to him Yun Jhin would have gobbled it up without question but the destiny the realm was giving him had some major problems that he couldn't solve.

The first and most major problem was the fact that he would be tied to the realm if he accepted destiny, this was a problem the celestial emperor also had and he couldn't solve it up till now, and he lived for a very long time.

What could Yun Jhin do if the celestial emperor was powerless to cut off his connection to the realm by himself? He didn't want to become stuck as a guardian of the realm just like he did so he immediately cut off the connection between himself and the realm after he healed up.

He knew that he angered the realm this way but he could care less about that, the realm itself couldn't do anything to him as natural disasters had no effects on him at this point.

He sprang out of the ground like a drill as he looked coldly at Biu Wuan and Gu Manshu's situation.

He had no love for traitors and people who rushed things and these two were both, he looked on coldly as their souls were extracted from their bodies by the celestial emperor but the moment he tried to absorb them he interfered!

Now that he was at full power and the emperor's soul was distracted he struck it from behind using ki enveloped halberd.

It was the same halberd he had created back in his early days but now it evolved to a Godly treasure as Yun Jhin tempered it and fused diverse materials into it.

The moment the blood-red halberd stuck the celestial emperor's back it started to suck energy making the azure glow from the soul start to disappear slowly, the blood-sucking effect worked even on soul bodies!

The celestial emperor shook his body trying to escape from the halberd but that meant he had to let loose the two souls which were in his grasp!

With them, he would be able to increase his battle power and crush Yun Jhin as he was alone.

But now his soul power was getting absorbed into Yun Jhin from the halberd and he could feel how Yun Jhin was getting increasingly stronger the more soul power he absorbed from him, he was almost near a breakthrough!

The soul power came with an understanding of the celestial realm and its laws so Yun Jhin could immediately breakthrough if he wanted to at this point, the soul energy was also very potent as it came from a half-a-step expert that was almost above the God realm, actually as he got the information he even learned about the name of the realm above the God one, it was called the true realm!

There were no specifics but even a name was good for him, most of the information that came from this way of absorption was gibberish but he could translate some things with difficulty.

The only thing that he could translate was the true realm, everything else was blurry or not understandable.

But he already gained what he needed, information-wise, for anything further he would be able to find out by himself.

What he needed now was to fully absorb the celestial emperor's soul so he could pave his way towards the peak of the God Realm then even the half-a-step true realm!

He could feel that he might break through continuously if he absorbed the soul, fully.

But of course, the celestial emperor wouldn't stay still and let himself be absorbed as he threw away the souls of both Gu Manshu and Biu Wuan and tried to escape from this situation, the halberd started to slip out of his body as it turned transparent and he tried to run away.

Yun Jhin ignored the traitorous duo as he flew away trying to catch up with the fleeing celestial emperor.

However, it seemed he had forgotten something, a burst of deep laughter could be heard coming from the surroundings:

"Hahahahahaha, thank you Yun Jhin it seems you have worked hard!"

Yun Jhin could recognize that voice any day... it was Hell's willpower!

That damn thing that almost killed him!

The celestial emperor's eyes widened as he took a few steps backward from the way the voice was heard but considering Yun Jhin was behind him he was stuck between a rock and a hard place here.

Yun Jhin frowned as he looked forward and saw someone that looked exactly like him but with inversed colors smiling at him, he was a few meters away from the celestial emperor just like him.

It seemed that in the end, Hell's willpower had somehow made use of his experience with his body to create a new one from scratch and still escape from Hell, unlike the celestial emperor who was stuck due to his connection with the realm, Hell's willpower was only stuck in Hell because it had no physical body.

Hell's willpower got a little bit closer to the celestial emperor as his smile showed his sharp dark fangs then he said:

"We meet again old friend, thought you would never see me in your lifetime again did you?"

The celestial emperor gritted his teeth as he said:

"Of course I didn't think, after all, we are opposed to each other and never supposed to be meeting, but it seems your thirst of power had brought you here just like the fellow behind me."

"Oh him... ignore him, we have a little bit of history together, why don't you just close your eyes and jump into my embrace? We can be one whole again."

The celestial emperor made a face as if he was disgusted before he shook his head and said:

"I'd rather let him have me instead of going back to you, the universal laws separated us for a reason!"

"Oh don't be like that, if we fuse back together even the laws won't be able to do anything to us, we will break through to the true realm and hop on the throne we deserve, this universe won't be able to restrain us any further, come here brother!"

The celestial emperor faltered as he felt himself getting weaker, the gravity around him started to increase as he was being pushed towards Hell's willpower, but that's when Yun Jhin appeared behind him and put his hand on his shoulder dispelling the gravity somewhat then dragged him backward.

"It seems you haven't fully accustomed yourself to the body yet, you were actually stronger back when you were just a strand of willpower."

Hell's willpower snorted as he glared at Yun Jhin and directly attacked, there was nothing that he wanted to talk about with Yun Jhin!

Yun Jhin put two fingers to his forehead as he disappeared from the spot making Hell's willpower rage!

A gigantic mushroom cloud appeared where Yun Jhin previously was as the surroundings for hundreds of thousands of kilometers were obliterated creating an environment similar to hell.

Yun Jhin appeared at the Lin family along with the celestial emperor's ghostly body which tried to escape again only for Yun Jhin's steel grip to grab him by the neck and lift him in the air:

"You have said that you would rather give yourself to me than fuse back with Hell's willpower, now why don't we make that happen?"

"You don't understand... now that you have angered him his awakening will happen and he will fuse properly with the body that he created, you might not be his match even if you reach my cultivation realm."

Yun Jhin snorted as his grip tightened on the man's windpipe while he said:

"You are not the one to say such things at this time, I have defeated you while you were in a better position and you think that I won't be able to kill him when I'm in the same position as him?"

"You don't understand Yun Jhin... you never saw his true power, I know it because we had one body before and he was in charge of it, we didn't reach the true realm before but we were around the same power that we were now, but he was around 10 to 20 times stronger than I am!"

"Yeah and if he is 10 to 20 then I will be 100 to 1000 stronger, you don't know what I have been through, what I have endured, what I had done to get to this point, you have been born with this cultivation base after you were separated by the universal laws, you didn't have to work your way up the ladder as I did, that's why you are weaker and the reason he is stronger is just that he is mad!"

"NOW SHUT UP AND LET YOURSELF BE ABSORBED!"

Yun Jhin tight grip increased once more as energy from the celestial emperor's soul was quickly sapped from his soul body into Yun Jhin's body then into his soul, the laws of the realm quickly started to converge above him as he was ready for another breakthrough, and this time he didn't stop it, he didn't care if Hell's willpower would know his location before it could come here he would fully absorb the emperor and breakthrough to the end!
