My Journey to Godhood as a Caterpillar

Sun Sisheng's forehead started to glow in a certain blinding light as his main body was breaking through to the 6th stage of the heavenly realm, his caterpillar rank was continuously increasing as well, from the 10th rank to the 20th, 30th, 40th, it finally stopped at the 65th rank as tones of shredded skin came out of his hosts head.

The skin of a 6th stage heavenly realm caterpillar wouldn't have enough nutrients for a 2nd stage ki cultivating realm expert so he just burned the skins away instead of eating them like in the past. Yun Jhin kept a straight face as he looked down at his hands.

After he inspected his main body and his soul he directly went back to cultivating his host's body, just a little more and he could break through the 3rd stage if he did he could fight the 5th stage practitioners, and with some 'luck' he would be the only survivor in the city!

As Yun Jhin was making his plan, Mono was sharpening his swords in his house, he kept a straight face but his anger was still spilling out of him, it was visible as his aura was distorted and it burned with a certain vengeful attribute.

Mono muttered to him in a quiet voice:

"He should be the one who comes, yes, my revenge should come, for my sister..."

He opened his pendant which showed a young girl with black hair, he clutched the pendant as his eyes turned fiery and continued to mutter:

"After we take care of the enemies, I shall unleash it then."

Yun Jhin didn't know anything about what Mono planned, he kept cultivating in his room as if he was entranced suddenly his body started to contort and increase in height as he started to forcefully break through the 3rd stage, he felt the body adapted enough, even though it was way earlier than when he was supposed to break through, Yun Jhin decided to forgo waiting.

He could just get his hands on another body, but he felt the thing that these people were guarding could help his main body.

After a few days of waiting a sole male finally appeared in the city, he had blonde hair and an arrogant smirk on his face, his face was oval with a small nose, his pupils glowed with a deep green color and he wore the normal military uniform of the empire.

He walked slowly towards Mono's house as he waited, then Mono came out and his eyes couldn't hide his anger anymore as he slowly said:

"Long Minimus, you piece of trash..."

Minimus laughed as tears suddenly appeared at his eyes and he said:

"Sukehiro, you piece of crap, you are the one who requested reinforcements? I knew something was fishy when the military minister didn't say who I was supposed to help, and now I know why."

Minimus and Mono had extremely bad blood between them, Minimus abused Mono's younger sister to death when he was on a mission, as he thought that as imperial royalty he could do anything, and well the crown prince took over the case and closed it making Mono get no justice in the end.

Mono's hatred for the crown prince was great due to that, but his hatred was even higher at Minimus!

The man unsheathed both swords as he was seemingly ready to fight there and then but Yun Jhin walked out of his house and said with a cold tone of voice:

"General Mono, what are you doing? Fighting with the reinforcements?"

Minimus laughed as he looked at Yun Jhin and said:

"Oh, who is this fool? I quite like him already!"

Yun Jhin didn't respond to Minimus as he walked towards Mono and said:

"You can take care of him after we liberate the city, I feel these enemies aren't there for a random reason."

Minimus frowned as he looked at Yun Jhin up and down again as he said:

"Well aren't you a smart little soldier."

Yun Jhin looked at Minimus and said:

"I should be a general by now, however, due to the circumstances I couldn't get my medals."

Minimus looked at Yun Jhin as he felt his 3rd stage rampaging ki and he said:

"Oho, you have broken through the 3rd stage?"

Even Mono was startled as he looked at Yun Jhin and said slowly:

"But you have just broken through the 2nd stage a weak or so ago, you..."

Minimus eyes narrowed as he heard that and he changed the subject:

"As this guy here said, the Empire's needs come before yours Sukehiro, you should have known that since you joined the army."

A vile smile appeared on his face as he continued:

"Of course you should have also known what would happen to such a beautiful woman with no cultivation as well!"

Mono gritted his teeth so hard that blood flowed from his mouth but Yun Jhin patted him on the shoulder and said:

"It's not worth it."

Yun Jhin tried to play it off so he could use these two, but it seemed there has been a change of plans for him as Mono suddenly unsheathed his sword and his aura pushed Yun Jhin back.

Before Minimus could react a sword light immediately went towards his throat!

Minimus tried to react quickly but the light grazed his neck and it started to spurt blood, he put a hand on his jugular to try and calm the bleeding down but it wouldn't stop, more and more blood would flow out.

Mono put his guard down as he started to breathe extremely roughly as if he would fall down the next second, he looked at the dying man's eyes as the light started to fade from them and he said:

"This is for my sister you little son of a bitch."

He fell to his knees and then used his swords to support himself up, he looked around and smiled at Yun Jhin but when he looked at the location he blew him away to he realized he wasn't there anymore!

He looked down at his chest to only see a bloodied beating heart and a pendant, his eyes clouded over with his last strength he looked behind him to only see two red eyes staring into his soul:

"You have made things way easier for me Mono Sukehiro, I shall use your body well."

Mono chuckled as he said with his last breath:

"I was expecting you..."

But before he could finish his body fell on the ground, without breath.

Yun Jhin shook his head as he devoured both of their souls, his soul started mending at an extremely quick speed, combined with the souls from the other two cultivators, the woman and the elder he was ready for another breakthrough with his main body.

His Jaw opened up and both of the bodies entered in his stomach as they dissolved into nutrients for him, and with the memories, he gained from Minimus he realized what the guys at the city were protected, he smiled to himself as he went around killing the other generals and devouring them, he used his assassination technique so none of them realized they were dead. It was basically like dying in their sleep to them, however, their souls didn't have the same luck.

Yun Jhin finished the whole city in 3 hours, he chuckled as he sat cross-legged in the middle of the city, there was no one there anymore, the city was empty, of anything, empty houses laid around as a ghastly wind would breeze by from time to time.

Yun Jhin looked towards the horizon as he murmured to himself:

"Dragon stone?"

Yun Jhin got up from the ground and walked away from the city, he needed to get his hands on the dragon stone, he knew of a way that could break him away from his current weak caterpillar form!

And all he needed to do was get his hands on the dragon stone, even though he wouldn't be able to immediately use it, with his new plan in mind he knew what to do.

He threw away the communication stone from Mono's and Minimus's spatial bags as they were used for tracking as well and then took all of their belongings, after he finished sorting through everything on the way to the Boroso city, he made sure his body was in tip-top shape before he went head to head with two, stage 5 experts.

He pushed his body again as he ignored it's warnings, breaking through the 4th stage of the ki cultivating realm, at this rate his host body might not even be able to break through to the king realm anymore.

But Yun Jhin didn't care, all he cared about was the progress of his main body, and the dragon stone was something that would help him on his journey to true immortality, it was a thing that he had an utmost need of!

Yun Jhin used the strongest horse that remained alive, it was Minimus's mount, and with its extraordinary speed he reached city Boroso, however, he realized there was no one there anymore!

That meant they should have already excavated the dragon stone and they left Yun Jhin in the dust!

Yun Jhin face transformed into a gigantic scowl as he looked around, the dragon stone was vital to his plans!

With it, he could reach a caterpillar form that was around the 5,000 ranks!

He would be able to get rid of the host body and make his way into the world using his own!

He didn't hate using the host body but he disliked being cooped up inside a cranium, he wanted to use his own body!

It would give him way more satisfaction and he wouldn't have to act so much. Also, he would be able to gain strong wings in that form that could make it easy for him to roam around the world!

Yun Jhin unleashed his soul willpower at the fullest capacity as he used it to analyze how much time ago they left. Using the experience's from his previous lives along with logic and the things he found in the city he realized that they should have left 1 day ago.

Yun Jhin frowned as he continued to look around then found which direction they took, they directly walked into the sea!

Yun Jhin didn't even bat an eyelid as he quickly jumped into the sea and started to swim, he didn't need to use any techniques to breathe underwater as he was a living undead, he didn't need air to breathe!

He looked around and extended his soul willpower without any abandon to find their steps. He needed to get the dragon stone before they reached the Heavenly Turtle sect, or else he would have other problems to tackle then.

Yun Jhin frowned as he looked in front of him, it seemed they were going deeper, deeper, and deeper inside the ocean.

Yun Jhin knew about the underwater sects so he didn't bat an eyelid as he continued to swim down, luckily for him, the other's didn't meet with their transport yet so after a few hours of swimming, he cloaked himself in his stealth technique as he observed the 5th stage duo from before and a 4th stage unknown person.

Yun Jhin made sure he was at his strongest as his muscles tensed up and his power increased, his hidden aura started fluctuating as he activated the forbidden technique he used before, he needed to kill all three of them in one strike and steal the dragon stone!
