My Journey to Godhood as a Caterpillar

Chapter 48: The giant tribe

Yun Jhin kept his breathing steady as he disappeared from his spot and approached the giant gathering, he kept himself well hidden as his aura disappeared as well, he waited for the opportune time to strike!

While he waited the old giant started to tell his tale:

"Ah you see children, our village wasn't marginalized since the start, one of our women was kidnapped by a dragon and gave birth to his child, unfortunately, the other tribes didn't like that so we were thrown here."

The old man started the story and ended it quickly as well, he sighed as he looked at the children who didn't understand his story much, after all, they weren't that old, the old man started to explain the story in a better fashion so the children could understand better.

He was one of the older men of the tribe who were supposed to take care of the children, but he was one of the most awkward ones, the children found him funny.

Yun Jhin closed his eyes as he kept his soul willpower on the older giant as he was the strongest out of the bunch and thought about the characteristics of the giants.

Giants were loved by nature and their bodies were harder and stronger according to their height, the bigger they were the stronger, but this affected their speed by a lot, they also had the same vital points as humans as their body structure was the same besides being way taller than humans.

They were proficient in the earth and water techniques as most of them were born wielding these elements, most of the time cultivators were born with a specific element in their bodies, those cultivators would have a higher attack power compared to those who were born element-less.

However that didn't mean element-less people were weaker, Yun Jhin himself has always been born element-less!

Elements were tied to the soul and personality, not the body, however, souls tended to change as they reincarnated, memories wiped away and new ones coming, Yun Jhin was a different type of soul, not many could reincarnate for so many times and keep their memories intact in a backlog that they could access if lucky.

Giants were inherently loved by nature so their elemental powers were above humans and only the elven and dwarfen race could rival the intensity of their power.

While people tended to be born to certain elements, Yun Jhin thought these people were weaklings, being element-less was the best as he could switch between elements as he liked!

Due to his ki having no former elemental attribute he could transform it into whatever attribute he wanted using his memories and techniques he learned in his previous life, technically speaking every element-less person could do this, but the amount of training and techniques they needed to learn to do this was astronomical!

Only Yun Jhin was able to do this due to his former life memories combined with his meticulous control coming from his 9th stage God Realm soul, that even though was injured it was still way stronger than people in the same realm as him.

The giant elder finished his explanation as he looked at the children, but most of them weren't listening or playing around, even though they were poor and malnourished they tried their best to enjoy their lives.

The elder giant didn't get angry as he smiled at the children, he felt that even though their village was in precarious situations they could pull through in the future!

The moment the elder smiled a wind sword immediately flashed towards his throat, the elder was at his weakest as he thought about his future and looked at the children, even though he was at the 9th stage of the ki cultivating realm he was weakened and distracted!

The elder fell in a gigantic pool of blood as the children shrieked in fear and ran away, the other giants were alarmed as they ran towards the dead elder. Yun Jhin frowned as he looked at the giants, as they were a race loved by nature he couldn't use formations against them, after all, formations used nature to the cultivator's advantage. If he used formations the giants might just break through them with ease.

However, formations weren't the only things he was good at!

Yun Jhin opened his mouth as he spat out a purple fog, this was a poisonous pill that he cultivated using his inner draconic energies and highly poisonous plants. Giants tended to not lose ki at all after death and the ki in their bodies could last for hundreds of years before it dissipated. As they were loved by nature, nature would find it hard to decompose their bodies and destroy their darlings.

Yun Jhin smiled as he saw the giants fall to the ground, this was a paralyzing poison and not a deadly one, what was deadly here was Yun Jhin.

He slowly made his way to the downed giants and started to rip into them with gusto, eating them alive was the best way to gain the most amount of nutrients from their flesh blood, and ki!

The giants were paralyzed but you could see the anguish and pain in their eyes!

Even though 100,000 giants lived in the village, the village grounds were huge and it would take them quite some time before more would come, he would use the same strategy and eat the whole giant village!

The giant children wanted to shriek but they couldn't, a cloaked small being was digging in their grandfather's body as it ate it like a ravenous beast which hadn't eaten in months, even though they were starved and emaciated, they still had a lot of flesh and blood, the quality was low but the quantity was high!

Yun Jhin finished the elder's body in about 3 minutes before he moved on to the other adults, the sickly sound of blood being drunk and bones crunching entered the young giant children heads, tears started to pour out of their eyes as they stood in the same paralyzed position as before. Yun Jhin looked at the children as he made a motion with his hands indicating that he would come for them after he finished the others.

The children wanted to sob but they couldn't they wanted to cry more but they couldn't, their paralyzed bodies made their minds explode, they were going insane, they even wanted to laugh right now but they just couldn't!

Yun Jhin chuckled a bit as he looked at the changing facial expressions of the children and he thought to himself:

"Despair induced targets taste the sweetest, especially the children."

Yun Jhin continued to feast upon the corpses of the downed giants and after an hour of nonstop extremely quick eating he finally finished all of the adult's bodies, his body was bloated and huge now, but after he burped his body turned to normal proportions.

The paralyzation effect started to wear off as the children stumbled and tried to back off from Yun Jhin.

Yun Jhin's mouth could be seen through the edge of the hood, big blood stains stained his lips and teeth as he gave them a big smile, just like a wolf when seeing a sheep.

The children cried or laughed as they shivered and hugged each other, there wasn't much time Yun Jhin thought as he could feel the other giants rush towards the village, he killed and ate almost 500 giants and on the way came more than 1500!

Yun Jhin shook his head as he suddenly disappeared from the children's view and appeared behind them, his jaw unhinged to the maximum as his head increased in size and he gulped down on all of the children in an instant!

He turned transparent as he hid inside a nearby ravaged house of a giant and waited in silence.

The other giants ran in the border part of the village as they shouted:

"Ghulu, Parto, Sadko?"

These were the names of the three strongest giants with the cultivation at the level of the 9th stage.

They looked around but all could they see were disheveled bloody clothes on the ground and huge bloodstains, there was even a huge blood pool on the ground where the children were usually playing and learning!

The giants all frowned in unison as they looked around, Yun Jhin's attack was fast accurate and he didn't give them any clues as he ate the bodies.

Yun Jhin's ki was overflowing as he quickly used the nutrients and extra ki from eating the bodies in stabilizing his body and paving a way to break through to the 6th stage of the ki cultivating realm.

As long as he ate the whole village he would be almost there!

The giants inspected the bloodstains and the quickly drying blood pool, the captain of the squad frowned as he looked around and said:

"This isn't right, even though the other tribes hate us, nature strictly forbids an inter tribe genocide."

Nature loved the giants so much that it made them unable to kill each other, if they did the aggressors would be the ones to follow the dead ones as they would explode into pieces of gore!

The captain frowned even further as he looked around again and said:

"There is no flesh or gore, even if there would have been a suicidal squad they would have left something behind..."

Yun Jhin smirked as he looked at the man, he blew another cloud of poison towards them immediately paralyzing them.

Yun Jhin walked forward out of the house as he directly went to chomp on another body when the giant captain made a sudden motion with his hand trying to capture him while saying:

"A crafty human!"

It seemed the giant was a rare breed who was born with poison resistance, Yun Jhin laughed as he looked at him, even though he was born with poison resistance it was a very low one, he could barely stand straight before him!

And he wasn't even a peak expert at the 9th stage, he was the 7th to 8th stage!

Yun Jhin created another wind sword that he grasped with his hand as he ran upwards the giant body and dodged the man's attempts to swat him away, he had a huge speed advantage, the giants were innately slow combined with the paralyzing poison in his nervous system that slowed him even further he couldn't catch Yun Jhin even if he let him!

Yun Jhin's eyes spun as the giant tried to throw him away by shaking his body like a dog after he took a bath, but Yun Jhin grabbed on his thick skin as he threw himself at the giant's eyes and impaled both of them as he created another wind sword and threw both in the man's eyes!

The giant cried in anguish as he had been blinded, he tried to bite Yun Jhin as he inclined his head to him, but Yun Jhin fell towards his neck and created another wind sword shooting it in the man's neck creating a big hole in it and killing him instantly!

Yun Jhin jumped down from the body as he started eating, while giants had harder skin bones and organs compared to any other race, Yun Jhin's teeth were enhanced a great deal after he evolved to the peak dragon caterpillar form, even though he couldn't bite through 4th stage or above King Realm bodies yet, he could through the 3rd stage and below, but that was only if they didn't protect themselves with their inner ki.

While Yun Jhin was feasting, a gigantic half-human half-dragon woman was flying towards the village our dragon caterpillar was raiding.

She wasn't that beautiful as she had the head of a dragon and the body of a giant, however her body was quite sensual to look at, she was 40 meters tall and she wore a red imperial armor with dragons painted on it, it looked like she was an army general from her armor.

Yun Jhin frowned as he felt some power at the 4th King Realm or above approaching the village, he had his soul willpower out at all times and he could feel the unleashed ki of the 4th King Realm expert assaulting his senses.

He couldn't finish the other bodies or he would be caught red-handed!

He left an item that would lead the giants to think that a human did all of this as he ran away from the village at a quick speed.

The moment he left the village border was the moment the woman with a dragon head entered and saw the massacre!

Some giants were still alive and only paralyzed as Yun Jhin couldn't finish them, the dragon-headed woman quickly came and helped them up as she still felt a life force from them and expunged the poison out of their bodies.

The men coughed out black blood as they looked at their comrades and tears dripped from their eyes, they looked at the woman and said:

"Susu you came back... but your grandfather and the others... you see..."

The men were both sad and fearful at the same time, sad for what happened and fearful of the woman that came back!

The woman was the granddaughter of the grand elder that Yun Jhin killed first.

She looked around as she finally spotted the item that Yun Jhin threw down, it was a coat of arms that Yun Jhin copied when he looked at the sect symbols on the map, it seemed to be from the Zither sect!

The woman frowned as some gigantic tears fell from her eyes, she looked down at her downed brethren, some of them were only halves as they were eaten in a hurry by Yun Jhin.

She shouted to the heavens:

"I SWEAR I WILL DESTROY WHOEVER DID THIS, I SWEAR ON MY MOTHER'S AND FATHER'S BLOODLINE!"

A draconic cry came from her head as a giant's howl came from her body, blood beads were extracted from her pore that fell and incinerated all of the half-eaten dead bodies to nothing.

She gritted her teeth as she looked towards the direction of the forest where Yun Jhin ran, she could feel some lingering aura but it was dispersing so quickly she couldn't track it, but she made sure to remember it!

Yun Jhin looked behind him as he sweated internally, the being he felt had a special crossed bloodline just like him and she had a way higher cultivation base than him, it would have been suicide to remain there!

From what he felt it was a half-dragon and half-giant, that meant he couldn't use formations against him/her in the future!

Things would get tricky if the being back there found he was the one who massacred the giants, fortunately, he left the symbol of the Zither sect there, Yun Jhin was playing the fisherman game again!
