My Journey to Godhood as a Caterpillar

Chapter 81: Useless warning

Yun Jhin eyes wandered on the latter after he opened it, but his brows furrowed as he saw that the paper was blank!

Black Blood coughed to take his attention then told him:

"His highness told me that you should open the letter in your room away from prying eyes, I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier but you opened it quite fast, anyways you can go now."

Yun Jhin put the letter in his cloak and left to his room, Zula was meditating when he entered but she immediately got up from her cross-legged position on the bed after she heard the door open.

Yun Jhin took out the letter from his cloak and looked at it again, words started to appear on the letter, they were written hastily but still had beautiful calligraphy which showed the Emperor's control of his powers.

Yun Jhin narrowed his eyes as he fully read the letter then burnt it to ashes with his inner flame ki, he looked towards Zula and told her:

"Your head of the house has died while she tried to break through the God Realm and the Emperor had to go and protect your house from the prying hands of the other families."

Zula's eyes widened as some tears started to bud in them but she cleared them with her hand immediately after, she needed to be strong for Zara's sake, she wouldn' want her to cry right now.

Yun Jhin looked at her reaction with no emotion in his eyes as he thought about the other half of the letter which told him about the fact that his presence was also needed in the Bumi Empire, Yun Jhin wasn't sure why but the Emperor told him that he shouldn't go that's why he left alone.

Yun Jhin couldn't do much anymore besides cultivating so unless Black Blood would need his presence again he would just continue to cultivate.

Starlight fell from the sky as Yun Jhin absorbed it, 1 day passed, 2 days passed, 3 days passed, 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 1 month passed.

Then he was shaken out of his cultivation by a firm but fair hand, the owner of the hand was surprisingly the Empress!

She glared at Yun Jhin with coquettish eyes as she said:

"Your daughter has been born a few months ago and all you do is cultivate, why don't you come to visit her?"

Yun Jhin looked at the Empress in the eyes and responded:

"Your highness, I find cultivating more important than meeting with my spawn, if you would be kind could you let me go so I can continue?"

The Empress gave out a small giggle as she grabbed Yun Jhin by the collar and her eyes hardened as she said:

"I didn't give you my salt for nothing boy, my husband isn't here anymore so that means he wouldn't know if I jumped you right now."

Yun Jhin gulped as she looked at the Empress, Zula was nowhere to be found as the Empress should have taken care of her, sending her away.

The Empress gave a sultry smile as she pushed Yun Jhin on the bed and immobilized him with some ki ropes.

Then she licked her lips and said:

"I should enjoy this..."

Yun Jhin trembled as the Empress finally left after being satisfied for half a month, she glared at the spot she disappeared from, he didn't like being taken advantage of but there wasn't much he could do anyways. He just hoped the Emperor wouldn't go crazy if he ever found out.

The Empress was satisfied but Yun Jhin was sure she wasn't pregnant, she only left because Yun Jhin couldn't handle her anymore, and there was news that the Emperor was on his way back home.

Yun Jhin sighed as the door of his room opened and Zula entered, she looked quite pitiful as she glared at Yun Jhin and said:

"You only bring problems to me, that Empress kept me tied in the courtyard under a stealth formation up till now!"

Yun Jhin ignored her as he stretched his body, he was still naked but he didn't care about Zula, even though Zula's body was seen by Yun Jhin, this was the first time Zula saw a man's naked body so she was pretty embarrassed.

Yun Jhin put on his clothes after he finished stretching and Zula's face turned to its normal color.

Before he was interrupted so suddenly by the Empress Yun Jhin almost got to reach the 6th stage of the refinery of his 3rd jewel.

Yun Jhin sighed as he sat cross-legged on the floor again then continued to summon starlight from the sky, with a little bit more starlight he finally finished the refinery of the 6th stage.

Yun Jhin sighed as he opened his eyes and looked at Zula who was in his face, she was observing him with critical eyes as she said:

"What kind of monster are you?"

She saw how easily and what type of quantity and quality of starlight he summoned from the sky, she didn't know anyone in her age range that could do the same as him, older peopel that she knew were of higher cultivation base and she wasn't sure how they compared in their youth to Yun Jhin. She was surprised because Zara didn't tell her that he was a reincarnated God Realm cultivator, if she knew she would have tried to curry favor with him instead of only hating him, she would still hate him but she would also try to fish for benefits.

Yun Jhin pushed her out of his personal space as he walked outside the room, he knew the Emperor must have come back by now so he went directly to the throne room.

Black Blood didn't say anything as he was led into the throne room. The Emperor stood on his throne as he looked down at Yun Jhin with a small smile and said:

"You want to know what happened at the Bumi Empire right?"

Yun Jhin nodded his head and the Emperor responded:

"I have fended off the greedy hands that wanted to go for Zara's family and assets, however, the Emperor of the Bumi Empire was alarmed by my presence and he had to interfere, in the end, we came to a consense."

"I'm not sure how they know of you, but the good news is that they don't know that you are a reincarnated God Realm cultivator, some news must have slipped from the other people that were with Zula, they must think that you are very talented and have something unique about you, or else Zula wouldn't have been betrothed to you, that's why they wanted to see you in person."

Yun Jhin wasn't sure who the Emperor was talking about but his next words clarified everything:

"It's one of the top ten families, the Blood Hound family at the top 7, their disciples had a scuffle with Zula's cousin and some words about you slipped, they became interested considering our Empire never had such a young genius like you in a long time... you might not be aware but our Empire is eyed by both of the other Empire's, they want to keep us in check."

Yun Jhin found this to be pretty normal, the other two empires were already fighting with each other in the dark and they didn't want a third competitor, as the saying went when two fought the third won.

Unfortunately, the Sumo Empire was too weak to compete with the other two, it was also suppressed as back in time some of the geniuses were poached by both Empires.

The Emperor frowned as he looked at the communication formation near his throne then his eyes widened as he looked at Yun Jhin:

"The Luo Empire got news about you as well... this is bad for us, this hasn't happened in a long while but I'm sure they will try to poach you from us..."

Suddenly a light appeared in the throne room as two people appeared, one appeared on the left and one on the right.

The one on the left was dressed in black and white clothes that had a ying-yang pattern on the front and back, he was quite old, looking to be almost as old as Black Blood. The other person that stood on the right was pretty short and had a youthful aura, but he had white hair and wore blue robes, his face was hidden behind a demonic mask that covered only his eyes.

Both talked at the same time:

"The Bumi/Luo Empire is sending their regards!"

The masked man immediately said:

"I'm the messenger from the Luo Empire and I came in regards to the new genius of the Sumo Empire called Yun Jhin, our Zhu household would like to invite this young genius into its folds so he can have a better environment where he can grow!"

The old man gave out a cryptic smile as he said:

"I have come from the Bumi Empire, I'm the messenger from the Blood Hound family and I came with the same intentions as the one from the Luo Empire."

His eyes wandered directly to Yun Jhin as he appeared in front of him and said:

"I would like to talk with this young man about a few things, Yun Jhin wasn't it?"

Yun Jhin wanted to deny but the man's smile told him that he already knew who he was, Yun Jhin gave out a weak smile as he looked at the Emperor, but the Emperor himself didn't know what to do, both houses had Emperor's stronger than he was so he could only bow his head and don't interfere, he could only watch as they fought between themselves and hoped that Yun Jhin would still remember his good intentions when he was sent to the other Empires.

The masked man frowned as he appeared behind the old man and sent out of a palm in greeting.

The old man turned to the masked man by jumping and meeting his palm with his own, Yun Jhin was protected by a barrier that the Emperor hastily created but Black Blood wasn't as lucky, Black Blood coughed a mouthful of blood as he retreated from the battlefield, both of the messengers were around the 7th to 8th stage of the Sage Realm.

The masked man frowned then shook his head as he said:

"The Sumo Empire has some deep connections with our Luo Empire, I know that they have made an alliance with the weaker house of your Bumi Empire, but you should know that the current Emperor of the Sumo Empire is the son of your Emperor!"

There wasn't much the Bumi Empire messenger could argue about, after all, he only came here to try his luck, the old man gave out a creepy smile and glare to Yun Jhin as he disappeared, Yun Jhin knew what that meant:

"If we can't have you, then no one can!"

Yun Jhin's early happy days would end by now, considering that from now on assassins from the Bumi Empire would move for him if he left the Empire.

Yun Jhin frowned as he looked at the masked man, but the masked man just smiled as he patted Yun Jhin on the shoulder and said:

"Good lad, I can see you refined your body to the maximum capacity and beyond, your aura is also rich with the four elements and ying-yang, very good very good, please come with me."

The man grasped Yun Jhin's shoulder as they both disappeared into a ray of light, The Emperor gave out a big frown as he looked at the spot they have disappeared from and sighed while thinking:

"I'm the first one that found this gem but unfortunately I won't be the one who gets to enjoy looking at it, fortunately, I didn't make him do things that he didn't want or offended him, hopefully in the future he would look for my Empire if he survives the Luo Empire..."

The Emperor called for Black Blood and sent out a ray of light which healed his internal injuries then told him:

"Since Yun Jhin isn't officially ours anymore, you can go and dispose of that Zula, also our alliance with the Bumi Empire is gone and null! Yun Jhin's disappearance made everything collapse on paper and I don't want to offend the Blood Hound house any further, go!"

Black Blood nodded his head and soonly returned with the head of Zula, The Emperor nodded and then the head exploded into ashes that drifted into nothingness, Black Blood didn't say anything as he bowed and left, the Emperor's eyes glazed over as his gaze seemingly went beyond the palace's walls and he murmured:

"Good luck out there Yun Jhin, you will certainly need it, unlocked God's memories or not."

Yun Jhin was currently into a spatial tunnel that was sending him to the Zhu household of the Luo Empire, at this point he was both interested and cautious, after all, going to the Luo Empire would mean more chances to get his hands on pure-blooded dragons that he could devour!

He still needed to eat dragons/phoenixes/dark tortoises and white tigers to evolve into an artificial caterpillar, up till now he had no good opportunities to get one, but from now on he would reach the middle of the upper continents where the pure draconic beings were the most numerous!

Even though he couldn't kill and devour people from the Luo Empire openly, he could do it in the dark, there was also the Bumi Empire!

Since they were going to sent assassins for him, he would welcome them with open arms as long as they were pure-blooded dragons.

Yun Jhin sighed as he saw the light at the end of the spatial tunnel, they were almost at their destination!
