Chapter 26 - Goddess Defends A Noob

Shen was curious about the hashtag of IamOnGoddessSide. The comment with that hashtag was condemning Volt and took his side.

Curious, he typed the hashtag and searched it. He quickly found out where the source of this hashtag was coming from. It was a video that came up on the top search.

He opened the video which led him to China's Sky Forum. It was an account called Yue who posted the video, less than four minutes video.

The character was written in bright gold. Meaning it was a verified account. Meaning this Yue was an influential figure in the game for sure.

Shen played the video and was surprised to see beauty in a white shirt. Milky white skin, bright obsidian eyes, and her perfectly chiseled jaw fit perfectly on her oval face.

She tied her long black hair into a ponytail and her beauty looked unreal for him. He did not expect to see someone that looked like a doll. The most attractive was that despite looking like a doll, the girl was giving off a mature charm.

This was what made Shen attracted to the girl. He suddenly smiled and muttered in a low voice, "Is this what everyone called love at first sight?"

The girl cleared her throat and Shen immediately paused the video, "But wait a minute, she does not use a filter, doesn't she?"

He looked carefully at the girl's face. The girl had light make-up on her face, but the picture could not be trusted for sure. VR Technology had advanced to this extent, it should be easy for a filter to be perfected to perfection.

Shen had read a lot of articles about men who complained about this filter. They were being deceived by filter technology.

They met a beauty online then when they met the person in real life, it was a completely different face than the one in the picture.

Of course, men were not only the victim. There were a lot of men who used the same filter and deceived women as well. In the end, dating apps were no longer popular nowadays. People would rather attend the blind date set by their parents.

The beauty in the video was unreal so Shen would not get deceived easily. He immediately shook his head, "I can't be deceived easily, but again, the face looks familiar," he rubbed his chin.

He felt that he had seen the girl in the video somewhere. However, he did not remember where and when, "Nah, whatever. Even though this streaking beauty does not use a filter, I still have no chance."

Shen was a realistic guy. He might look above average, and he received a lot of love letters during high school. But that was the past.

He did not finish high school, and he was unemployed. Rich? Yes, he might be rich if he compared himself to the poor, but there were a lot of people richer than him, by miles.

Junior high school's graduate, vague future, and not a dashing man. A lot of men looked more dashing and handsome than him. His chance was less than a percent. An unrealistic target for someone like him.

'The only thing I do is play the game, and I suck at that too. I have no chance, stop dreaming, Shen! Focus on your target!'

After the wake-up call, Shen played the video.

"Hello, good evening~" the girl started the video with a melodious voice of hers.

'Oh my, this girl is just too perfect that I feel unreal,' he could not help but think so.

"Recently, there's a clip and incident that went viral. I am going to talk about my view regarding that as my first debut on the forum."

'Huh!? Is she talking about me?' The only recent incident that got viral was him getting bullied by a streamer, Volt.

The girl then smiled, not only her voice was pleasing to the ear, but her smile was stunning as well. He dozed off for a moment because of the smile, then he shook his head.

'Damn, what are you? A reincarnation of a fox spirit?'

Then suddenly the smile disappeared as she turned solemn, "First, I condemn what Volt did to the player called Runner! No matter what the reason is, it does not justify what he did to Runner."

"I have researched about Runner. Indeed, this player has griefed many other players in the previous game. He is a complete noob, but that's not the right reason to bully him. You can simply ignore him if you don't want to play with him. You can do a good deed by guiding him on how to play the game and tell him the right to build for the class. There are many other ways instead of bullying him. What Volt did to Runner is worse than what Runner did to the other players in the previous game."

"Second, I also condemn Volt for farming content from bullying a person. This is not healthy content and has a bad influence on the viewers. If we let Volt continue his bullying, the other streamers, and content creators will follow the trend. This is bad for the Tribe Online community!"

"Third… Before I continue, I want to say that this is my personal opinion. I don't represent anyone, but my personal view about the incident. Third, I want the streaming platform to consider what Volt has done. What he did is not different from a Red Player! A fair warning should be given to him from what he has done!"

There was one and a specific condition to stream on an official platform. A player was not a Red Player, an uncontrollable PK. There was an incident in the past where many Red Players were allowed to stream officially.

Sure, it had many viewers and the platform benefited a lot from that. However, the game was totally ruined after that. The player chose a shortcut, setting up PK like a trap and ambush.

That one game was then famous for its toxic players, not newbie friendly anymore. The rich would pay Red Player to zero their rival and the players they did not like.

Since the game was not friendly for the new player. People stopped purchasing the game and a lot of people stopped playing because of its toxic community and player.

A few months later the Game Developer closed the server. Since then, the other Game Developers learned from this mistake and made an agreement with streaming platforms. Red Players were not allowed to stream, or else the Game Developer would not agree to let the platform stream their game.

Fortunately, all the Game Developers were united so the streaming platform was forced to agree with the condition.

Since then, it had become a tradition where a Red Player was banned from streaming. Zeroing a player and kept killing one person to the point of forcing the player to log out or even quitting the game was one of the Red Player's behaviors. It was a punishable act.

Shen was stunned when he heard the third point. He finally got the gist of where #IamOnGoddessSide coming from. It was from her fans.
