Chapter 56 - Good Luck, My Friend

"May I know how you got here? What were you doing before?" This was what Shen wanted to know from ZhenZhen. He wanted to confirm the way to reach this village, hoping to get his friend, Ming, here as well.

Playing with friends was certainly more fun than playing alone. Just like the old days where his friends supported his crazy idea. He wanted Ming to get his share of the Legendary Class.

"Now you asked that…" ZhenZhen recalled the incident and told Shen how she ended at this place.

"So you fell into Jade Gorge?" Shen muttered as he recalled the ten gorges in the game. He then scanned the house, ten gorges, ten houses, ten Legendary Classes, "I see, so that's how it is."

ZhenZhen did not ask him why he asked her about how she ended up here. She could not wait to enter the house and get the class already. She wanted to start cooking.

"Is there anything I need to know about how to get to the class?" ZhenZhen asked again to make sure she did not miss any clues from Runner.

"Oh, the statue…" Shen told her about the statue. The statue was an NPC so ZhenZhen would not experience the jumpscare.

"Alright," ZhenZhen nodded and turned around. Taking a deep breath, she entered the dark house.

Shen quickly checked his friend list. Ming was online, he immediately called him. The call was connected but his friend did not pick up the call, "Huh!? It's rare for him to not pick my call…"

He then realized something. Both were choosing a crazy path to training. If Ming did not pick up the call, he must be in the process of training. Stopping the training midway was disastrous, he might not get the stats.

"But this is more important than two to three stats," Shen muttered as he chose to send a message instead.

[Answer my call, this is very important!] – He typed a short message and sent it immediately. The status quickly changed from sent to read. Meaning the receiver had read his message.

Shen immediately called his friend again. This time, Ming answered the call immediately, "Yo, what's up, Shen?" Ming was speaking while panting at the same time, meaning the guy was doing his training.

"Ming! I found it! I found it!" Shen was so excited that he spoke loudly.

"C-calm down. Hey, calm down. You found what?" Ming breathlessly replied over the call. He was curious as well what his friend found.

"I found the way to reach this village, my village!" Shen smiled widely as he informed his friend.

There was a short pause from the other side, "Wait, Shen. Let me change a place first…" Ming replied in a low voice. This information was so important, he did not want to leak it.

Shen waited for his friend to speak. He understood how important this village was, "Yo, Shen. Are you there?"

"Yup, are you ready to migrate?" Shen could not stop smiling.

"So, how do I get to your village?" Ming immediately got to the point. He could not wait to get to the village as well.

"Jump into the Eternal Waterfall, right now!" Shen told Ming without explaining how it worked.

"Are you sure this will work? I will lose my level if this does not work, Shen," Ming was still concerned. Not that he did not believe his friend, but he thought Shen was not sure about the theory.

"No, this will work, Ming. Someone just fell into Jade Gorge and she respawned in this village. If my theory is correct, each gorge will lead into this village, but you have to jump to the gorge that no one has fallen into. Trust me and jump into Eternal Waterfall, Ming. This is your chance to get the Legendary Class, Ming. You should gamble this chance if you want to make it big!" Shen tried to convince his friend.

It was not solely about playing together. Shen knew Ming put his future in this game, so he tried to help his best friend. Getting Legendary Class was just the first step, "Also, don't worry about your level. You can easily reach level 10 or even level 20 if you reach this village."

There was a short pause before Ming gave his answer, "Alright, Shen. You convinced me to try this crazy idea. So I just have to jump into the Eternal Waterfall?"

"Yes, do it, Ming. I am waiting for you down here. Good luck, I hope you can have a memorable freefall," he teased Ming before he closed the call.

Training Center

Ming closed the call. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Shen was right, this was his chance to make it big. He had to try it even if there was a chance to fail.

Ming stood up and left the training center. When he was outside the training center, he attracted a lot of attention from the other players. They were whispering to each other while the bolder one was pointing at him.

Ming ignored them. Thanks to the training Shen told him, he had become a famous figure in the Eternal Water City. When he did the training, someone posted a thread about him and he became joke material.

Some called him a training maniac. Some called him crazy. Some even called him M because he had been training for two weeks in-game time. Who was playing a game for working out?

Thanks to this, he had become famous. Second after the famous noob. Because of him, Shen's notorious fame resurfaced again. Just like that, he was titled as the second noob.

Ming ignored all the players and made his way toward the famous Eternal Waterfall. There were a lot of people around the Eternal Waterfall. He discovered many couples since this had become a famous spot to date in the virtual world.

Ming stood alone at the edge of the Eternal Waterfall. He looked down. This was like his fourth time being here but the Eternal Waterfall always managed to amaze him. This was just too beautiful.

The waterfall formed like a curtain, covering the surface cliff. He looked at the endless gorge and his heartbeat started to bear rapidly. He was nervous even though this was just a game.

While Ming was hesitating, he did not realize that other players gathered around, watching him and ridiculing him.

Ignoring the surroundings, Ming closed his eyes and jumped into the Eternal Waterfall.
