"Finally," Shane thought as he looked at the gigantic black-colored ring that had hundreds of mysterious runes inscribed on it, shining brightly in a feeble blue hue, as desire gleamed in his eyes.

Within the ring, one could see a semi-translucent liquid swirling around vigorously.

It was one of the few thousand [Dimension Portals] that changed everything on the blue planet called Igra more than 200 years ago.

One day, the whole planet suddenly shook with a tremendous force

This led to the emergence of several natural disasters, causing earthquakes, tsunamis, and similar catastrophes that killed millions of humans within seconds.

However, this was not the most important thing that happened, as the space surrounding the planet was torn apart, revealing an endless abyss.

Within the torn space, these Dimension Portals descended to the ground without any warning as they activated themselves, leaving billions of humans with shocked and dumbfounded expressions behind.

Many humans thought that monsters and beasts would emerge from these Portals, as it was written within novels and fairy tales they had read, but nothing like that happened.

Hours passed and the semi-translucent liquid began to attract the attention of weak-willed humans, forcing them to follow their instincts, as they gave in to their curiosity that overwhelmed their anxiety.

After the first human being dared to step through the Dimensional Portal, an exultant and gentle female voice could be heard inside everyone's mind.

[Welcome 'Humans' from planet "DBASDF2245". We appreciate you joining the "Conquest". It's an honor to witness a new race participate and we'd like each of your brethren to join us.]

Seconds passed and not a single sound could be heard throughout the whole planet as everyone felt like they were completely paralyzed, waiting for the voice to dissipate in the hope that they were in a dream.

Everything was silent, but the ray of hope for mankind was shattered into smithereens when a mechanical voice was issued.

[Initiate 'World protection mechanism→99D:23H:59M:59S remaining.]

After the mechanical voice was issued, the female voice explained an important matter that changed the old world everyone once knew...

[As per law, we have granted a world protection program for 100 days to this planet. After completion of the said 100 days, this world can be conquered by all kinds of races, without distinction.

To protect your loved ones, family, and more importantly, yourself, you have to become stronger.

The only way to accomplish this is to follow your brave brethren into the Primordial Dimension, where death and treasures are infinitely close and intertwined with each other]

The female voice seemed to have finished her speech and some weak-willed humans began to collapse on the spot while some slightly stronger-willed humans felt dizzy, overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information provided.

There were only a few somewhat calm humans who could barely remain rational, trying to comprehend what had happened.

Suddenly, the exultant female voice returned.

[Oh... I forgot something. Inside the Primordial world, you can achieve everything you wish for, it doesn't matter how far-fetched your desire is, EVERYTHING is possible!!..you can even purchase an extension for the world protections.]

After that, the voice vanished forever and humanity began its conquest within the Primordial Dimension.

More than 200 years have passed since then and humanity changed completely for better or worse, only time would tell.

In the beginning, humanity panicked, while still doubting the female voice within their heads, treating it as an illusion.

Ignoring the world protection countdown and the threat behind the Dimensional Portal, some humans still ventured inside the Primordial dimension to receive benefits no one could have ever thought was possible.

Achieving the strength of a few tons? Easy!

Manipulating laws of nature? No problem!

Extending one's lifespan? Cultivate!

But, the Primordial Dimension was a double-edged sword and more and more humans died against the powerful beings they encountered within these dimensions.

These casualties were still not enough for humanity to understand the threat looming over them and 100 days passed. This eventually created the first Disaster of Igra as the world protection dissipated into thin air.

All kinds of beasts began to invade Igra, including Lizard-man, Earth dragons, Goblins, Orcs, Lamia's, behemoths, and many more frightful existences as the world protections collapsed.

Humanity almost lost a quarter of its population within the first few weeks and only a bunch of humans were able to defend themselves against these existences, because they ventured into the Primordial Dimension, thereby increasing their strength.

Under the guidance of a single powerful individual, humanity established the Stella-Federation, named after their Leader, John Stella.

With humanity's numerous advantages in addition to some powerful individuals that ventured deeper into the Primordial Dimensions, they were barely able to purchase a world protection extension in order to close the direct link between Igra and other races' planets.

It was almost impossible to defeat the most terrifying existences that invaded Igra and only with humanity's wits, cruelty and quantity, they were barely able to fight them head-on.

200 years passed and Igra was almost cleansed from the invading beasts, with a few particular exceptions.

Unfortunately, this didn't mean that there were no dangers threatening humanity.

There were signs of foreign races circling around the adjacent stellar system, causing humanity to walk on eggshells every day.

Only the existence of the Primordial Dimension seemed to be a tiny ray of hope, because humans could break through their shackles, reaching higher realms that were previously impossible to access.

And, this was mainly because of the existence of the [System] which the Primordial Dimension provided, with its undiscriminating support towards every living being.

Shane, however, didn't really care about the history of Igra and there was only a single reason for him to be thankful for it.

He, Shane Suro, was a transmigrator, who had barely begun to work as a young veterinarian on earth.

While on a trip to the savanna as a gift to himself, he was shot by a poacher, when he had been busy tending to the wounds of a deeply injured white rhino.

Shane always had a penchant for animals and there was not a single animal that didn't like him and his former life had been peaceful.

Rather than preying on Shane, one could say that animals approached him since he was young.

He played with wild animals in the forest, close to his house instead of going out with other kids, and began to love all kinds of animals.

Because he found his "friends" being hunted and injured all the time, Shane decided to become a veterinarian.

And, with that in mind, he left the forest and became a model student with some friends that shared his interests.

Advancing through classes was easy for him.

His intelligence and hard work saw him become one of the youngest veterinarians at the tender age of 19 years.

But what was the use of it? He lost his life while trying to save an almost extinct animal…

It was a shame to have wasted his life like that and Shane´s last breaths were filled with regret.

He would have never imagined dying like this...without having lived for long enough to enjoy his life to the fullest.

But, who would have thought that he would find himself in a different world?

And, as a recently born baby at that!!

Was it fate that brought him to a foreign world filled with death or someone else's doing?
