Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 351: Shane, the Fool

Shane nodded his head, becoming slightly excited as he said,

"You mean the [Legendary] quality scepter you've chosen? It can be considered the best tool, that's correct. Furthermore, most [Legendary] items can be enhanced in their grade once. You might need to acquire suitable items, but the scepter is truly the best you can use the limitation crystal with."

Seeing that Shane agreed with her idea, Princess Ilya readily took out the pitch-black scepter with crimson-colored gems embedded in it.

The scepter was in fact a wand, increasing Ilya's mana output, affinity strength, and many other characteristics that increased her combat prowess.

Thus, turning the [legendary] quality scepter that was in fact barely considered at the [Legendary] quality, into a peak [Legendary] wand, would increase her strength drastically.

Shane was still not sure how to put his two limitation crystals to good use.

He didn't have an [Legendary] item and the ones he could purchase were either overpriced and out of his range, or their effects and skills were just too worthless.

Even increasing their limits wouldn't be helpful.

As such, he decided to utilize the limitation crystals for two different things.

One would be used for his manuals, while the other one would be employed for breaking the limits of the equipment.

That was if Shane was able to procure a [Legendary] quality item.

However, for now, he simply used one limitation crystal in order to increase the mana purification technique at the [Diamond] quality to its limits!

Thus he used the limitation crystal, and a holographic screen appeared in front of him, allowing Shane to target anything he owned.

Unfortunately, he couldn't target the Hidden Paradise, the innate skill, or blessing with it. Otherwise, he would have chosen to use his limitation crystals for them.

After thinking for a few moments, Shane chose the [Platinum] quality mana purification technique, only to realize the fatal mistake he hadn't seen earlier.

'Wasn't my purification technique at the [Diamond] quality??'

Only then did he remember that only a mana purification technique of [85%] upwards was considered to be at the [Diamond] quality.

This caused him to frown, thinking how he could have forgotten something so important.

Feeling as if he was a fool, he cursed himself as his cheeks turned red, and Shane told himself that nobody should ever find out what had happened today.

'How could I miss that...am I a fool or what??'

Shaking his head, the only word of consolation he could award himself was that the highest existing mana purification had a mana purity of [97%].

With that being said, he could simply skip several system missions at once as long as he was able to procure the most simple [Diamond] mana purification manual.

This shouldn't be much of a problem, and without wasting any time, Shane requested the system to award him the [Diamond] mission for a mana purification for every percentage value ranging from [85%] to [97%].

Through this, he could simply choose the easiest mission to solve while being inside the fluare tower dungeon, putting the idle time to good use.

It might be dangerous if all missions would have a time limit and couldn't be fulfilled inside the dungeon, but the chances for this were almost nil.

A stream of notifications flooded Shane, and he could only move around the holographic screens to organize them neatly.

While doing so he didn't even notice that Princess Ilya was eyeing him weirdly.

She was interested in what he was doing with a dozen holographic screens in front of him, and when she asked him, Shane just answered.

"I requested the [Diamond] system missions for all possible mana purification manuals. It's the most efficient way to use the limitation crystal, choosing the simplest mission and upgrading it afterward!"

Ilya was astonished by his response. She had already attained mana purity of [93%] and thought that Shane had a mana purity similar to hers. Otherwise, his combat prowess wouldn't make any sense.

As such, she was more baffled about him not having a [Diamond] mana purification technique than his decision to request a dozen missions at once.

Meanwhile, Shane had finally organized the mission in front of him.

He had discarded those he could flatly not solve without traveling through different dimensions for several months.

Other than that, he had organized the remaining missions in order to figure out the chances of him completing them inside the fluare tower dungeon.

There were only a few of them, and even those were not easy to solve. Some of them demanded him to kill a dozen opponents at the Overlord stage.

This was similar to his Innate taming skills upgrade mission.

However, instead of having to simply defeat 20 Overlords, he would have to kill them in the system's mission.

In the end, there were only a few missions with a time limit, and they were slightly easier to solve than the other mission without a countdown.

One among them was quite suitable, yet, even more dangerous than all other missions in his opinion.

[[Diamond] mission <Rage> has been requested.]

[Rage] Be the center of the rage of 100 beings with a cultivation base higher than yours!  Countdown [30D:23H:48M:35S]. The enraged being has to be in the range of one kilometer of the host!

This was the mission he wanted to solve. It would be dangerous, yet, not too much to ask for, considering that the fluare tower dungeon's task for the fourth floor was perfectly suitable for this.

'Beating up the vast majority of contestants should be more than enough to induce their rage!'

Shane was already starting to scheme, which was noticed by Ilya, so he gave her permission to see the said mission.

"It's nothing unique to find a good mission among a dozen, but this one is truly perfect for the current situation. With the limitation crystal, there won't be a problem obtaining a mana purification manual with a limit of [97%] until we're outside the dungeon.

If only I had two limitation crystals like you. Skipping two missions would be unproblematic and I could save lots of time ....Nevertheless the scepter is still the best choice I could have made!"

Ilya's comprehension of his situation was spot on, and his thoughts were exactly the same as hers.

There were many things they had to pay attention to, such as their ability to defend against 100 dungeon challengers who had a higher mana purity than him, or tackling the wrath of everyone once they entered the following floors.

While the former was easily achievable due to Shane's low mana purity, the latter was something he was unsure of how to handle properly at the moment.

There was the possibility of preventing the entry of everyone he stole value points from to the next floors, but that was unlikely to be possible due to multiple factors.

Shane couldn't simply kill them owing to the dungeon's restriction.

Thus it was always possible for someone to gain 100 value points and enter the next floor even after being defeated once, which drained all value points one had.

As such, Shane couldn't help but smile lightly with a glint of determination in his eyes!

"With that being said lets...cultivate!!"

Princess Ilya was already ready to depart, thinking of ways to attract the others' attention, in order to deprive them of their value coins.

However, Shane's words made her halt in her tracks and she gave him a confused look, not sure if she had heard him right.

"..Cultivate? Not enrage the other dungeon challengers??"

However, Shane just shrugged his shoulders "Yes, cultivate!"
