Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 73: Umbra's quality

Shane was aware that he offended RadiantRing's shelter captain, but he didn't really think much about it, as he would be taken care of soon enough.

As for someone assassinating him or beating him into a pulp? This could only be seen as a bad joke because nobody saw him entering the room he was currently in, except the owner of the inn.

And even he couldn't see his face, because he wore his gas mask in addition to a clean robe, which covered Umbra completely.

In the end, the only fact the inn owner knew about him, was his devil-shaped mask, but nothing else.

Shane didn't think too much about the shelter-captain, because there were too many things for him to do right now, which didn't leave even a tiny space for such a dumb character in his mind.

As for the things he had to do, figuring out the worth of his hundreds of beast corpses had a high priority on his to-do list, right behind Umbra's quality enhancement, which was Shane's highest priority.

After completing the two highest prioritized tasks, Shane would have to increase his strength during the next 10 days to the highest possible in order to show his dominance once the academy would accept his application.

Once he was accepted, there would only be a short span of time for him to go back to Igra in order to enter the academy.

This wouldn't take long, as he could just teleport to the specific dimensional portal with the personal permission code Shane would receive.

As such, there would be slightly more than 10 days for him to increase his strength, which other youths most likely used to prepare their stuff, say goodbye to their family, and so on.

Thinking about his current situation, Shane had more than enough time to increase his strength, as he didn't have to prepare anything at all, as everyone he possessed was within the Ancient ring of the Susurro.

While establishing a perfect mortal physical foundation, he could already increase his mana pool cultivation towards the Apprentice stage if he wanted.

But rather than focusing too much on his mana pool cultivation, Shane wanted to increase everything consistently, while accumulating some more funds to hasten up his future progress.

Thanks to the reinforcement the federation army would send out soon enough, he was expectant if they would eradicate the possible threat or if they would just act defensively.

Shane would be fine with both choices but he preferred the first solution because it would end up in a large-scale battlefield with all beasts gathered.

Once all beasts were gathered, Shane wanted to sneak into the hidden elemental-crystal cave in order to mine the remaining mana and elemental crystals for himself without caring about any obstructing beasts.

Unfortunately, there was a big downside to this solution.

The Federation Basic-Dimension Army would lose brave men and women, which Shane didn't really want.

But even if the initial thought about the first solution was solely based on his selfish way of thinking, it was better to attack than to defend in his opinion.

Shane's reasoning was simple.

The beasts within basic-dimension were normally not that intellectual, except foreign intelligent races, like humans.

A large hideout from one of the beast races that were in war had already been found and assassinating them with hundreds or thousands of Assassins and hunters would reduce human casualties, instead of waiting for the purple furred wolves to gather and prepare a large-scale attack.

Maybe they would even ally with the other races they were in a war due to the bigger threat they would have to face, also called humans.

All of this had already happened before and Shane thought the first solution was the way the army would most likely pick in order to protect the newly established shelter as well as possible, without endangering the innocent construction workers that were still unaware of the threat in their neck.

Because Shane hoped that the army would take this way, he already sent his Uncle Lars a detailed instruction, they would have to take in order to arrive in front of the Wolf den.

It was the shortest way and Shane was sure that the military scouts would be able to find it rather easily if they didn't fall on their head.

As such, he decided to not care about the RadiantRing shelter at the moment, until the military arrived.

After that, he would look at their acts and adjust his plan according to their decisions.

In the end, Shane estimated that it would take at least half a day before the federation would send their troops through the dimensional portal and an additional half-day in order for everyone to emerge out of the dimension planet.

In order to make a decent decision, everything would have to be scouted thoroughly to find out what races existed nearby the shelter and how large their population was.

Calculating every process, Shane was sure that at least three to four days would have to pass before the military would set off in order to eradicate the threat, which was neither fast nor slow.

If the RadiantRing shelter was under a hazardous threat and close to collapse due to a beast tide or a foreign intelligence race siege, the federation military would have already sent their troops over.

Because everything was still rather relaxed, Shane knew they would take some time.

Even if it wouldn't take that long or longer than he estimated, there was nothing to do for him.

As such, Shane changed his attention towards Umbra, who looked at him patiently with desire gleaming in its eyes.

"It's your turn once again, little One" he said, laughing lightly, as he assessed the [Quality-Upgrading] function from his skill, where a holographic screen popped up in front of him

Tier-2 Mana stone [Darkness] (5/5)

Blood of a Dragon (1/1 Drop)

[Commence quality upgrade] [Y/N]

Everything required for Umbra was available inside his spatial ring, as Shane initiated the quality upgrade, with a simple thought

[Yes!]

Immediately after he commenced the quality upgrade, the required items emerged from his spatial ring, only for the Daylight peony and darkness transmuted mana stones to dissolve slowly, revealing a terrifying amount of mana, as the cork on the vial with the wyvern blood inside burst out.

Floating towards the black mana fog, the wyvern-blood acted as if it was a vortex.

A powerful suction force radiated from it, forcefully taking over the black mana fog that seemed to resist for a moment before it accepted its designated fate.

The mana fog compressed within the wyvern-blood, coloring the crimson blood with black patterns before it slowly approached Umbra, who looked exciting at the floating drop of blood in front of him.

Umbra immediately sensed the terrifying, vigorous, yet comfortable energy spreading throughout his whole body when the drop of blood entered his opened mouth.

Shane was fully tensed up when he heard a notification right at the moment as Umbra began to radiate a terrifying pressure, which shocked him extremely.

[Quality-upgrade of [Shadow-snake(Umbra)] from (Rare) to (Extraordinary) will take 72 hours. Host is recommended to ensure the safety of his tamed beast under all means!]
