“Hmmm..” Sain let out a weird sound without even realizing it..

“Your guild is now the top guild in Kelk.”

“……”

“Thanks to that your guild will observe a rise in the quest requests from the merchants all around the continent. And as we, the Siris Chamber, are in a long term contract with you, we will try to increase that flow even further.”

Sain took a deep breath, composed herself and replied, “We’d really appreciate it.”

“Haha. Then let’s finish this meeting as quickly as possible.”

Our guild surpassed the Wyvern Guild. And the new site that was meant to be a merchant warehouse was gonna take us even further.

In the meantime, Ron took out some documents out of his bag.

“As you know, most of the estates here are owned by none other than Viscount Kelk.”

“Yes. Absolutely.”

“Our property is only the building. That won’t be the problem. But the land itself will be the problem.”

“……”

“First, we will have to return the land we borrowed to Viscount Kelk, and then your guild will have to borrow it yourselves. I’ll contact you tomorrow after returning the land to the Viscount.”

Sain nodded, and I frowned, fortunately none saw it.

‘The Kelks.’

Even though our guild had become so big, there was one place that didn’t entrust us with even a single quest.

It was the self made Kelk. To be precise, Zen Mecal, the butler, would be the problem.

He was still in a relationship with the Wyvern Guild.

From the standpoint of the Wyvern Guild, it was their only supply left.

‘It’s going to be annoying.’

“You don’t need to see the Viscount himself, you’ll just have to carry out the negotiations with their butler. Let me write an introduction.”

“If you’re talking about Zen then don’t bother.” I said.

“Huh?”

“I am already familiar with him.”

Then Ron grinned.

“Well, considering the growth of the Hagnut Guild this was to be expected.”

“Yeah.”

Whether it’s a good relationship or bad is a whole other matter. Anyway, we came out after that.

On the way back to the guild, Sain muttered with a blank expression.  “The top guild……”

“Now I can call you Guild Master. Ms. Sain.”

Sain jolted up.

She replied, while shaking her red face and flailing her arms, “No no no. It’s still a long way.”

“……”

“Now is the most crucial time. You should be vigilant okay?”

“Don’t try anything reckless.”

I just silently smiled and nodded.

Ron informed us two days later via letter.  It stated that they had returned the land and now we had to borrow it.  We were really busy but somehow Sain and I took time out of busy schedules and headed out..

Before leaving, Limer said with his dead eyes and sunken cheeks, “Sain. Mr. Tay. Bye.”

“Yeah. I’m sorry. Even though it’s…”

“It’s okay. Please go quickly.”

Limer said that and jumped back into the crowd of adventurers.

“When we move, we’ll have to enlist a lot.” I said.

“Enlist?”

“It means we’ll have to recruit a lot of staff.”

“Ah yes. We’ll have to. Phew. Seems like I’ll have my hands full for some time.”

Even while saying so, Sain couldn’t hide the happiness on her face.

When our guild was bean-sized, Zen said that we’ll have to pay a load of money if we wanted to meet them even once.  But now, I applied for a meeting in the morning and the meeting was concluded immediately in the afternoon.  Well, it may be because I’m gritty, who knows what my personality seemed like to other people. But the Hagnut Guild’s name sure did help a lot this time.

While we waited in the waiting room, Zen appeared, looking much older than the last time we met.

“Hi. I’m the leader of the Hagnut Guild, Sain Jenel and this is…”

“You don’t need to introduce him. I don’t want to hear his name or see his face.”, Zen said with an arrogant tone.

Sain replied, with her eyes widened with absurdity, “What do you mean?”

“To think that the Guild Master of a flourishing guild had gone deaf.”

“You’re crossing a line.”

“Am I now? Huh.”

Zen sat down on the sofa and crossed his legs.

“Since when did guild masters start acting like that?”

“I am the guild leader.”

“I don’t know the difference and I am not interested in learning it either.”

This man’s attitude was worse than the last time.

However, I saw through it and replied with a smile, “You must be very nervous. Zen.”

“What?”

“The money supply seems to be drying out. Well, it was quite obvious after the quests coming to the Wyvern Guild were cut in half. ”

“……”

“Aren’t they paying you enough? Well you might have to change guilds now, but I am afraid that our guild doesn’t have any vacancies left.”

I could see the veins popping out of Zen’s forehead.

Sain understood the situation and replied with a cold expression, “It looks like you have a connection with the Wyvern Guild.”

“……”

“I have no intention of changing guilds. Guilds of that size grow with the help of influential clients.”

“Hmm.”

“But what’s with that rudeness?”

My boss was also very disturbed by it.

Zen thought of himself as a noble, but he was by no means a nobleman. He was just a fox covered in tiger skin, a tiger named Viscount Kelk.

Ziyun opened his mouth with a frustrated tone, “I will get rid of you and your useless guild.”

“Hmmm…”

“Anyway, You must have already received a message from the Ron branch manager of the Siris Chamber of Commerce. There is a lot we want to rent.”

“Ha. The land with the warehouse? Seems like you’re planning to move.”

“……”

“Do you really think I’ll let you have it after this conversation?”

Sain replied, biting her lower lip, “The owner of the land is Viscount Kelk, not the butler. You’re speaking as if you own the land yourself.”

“Cheeky girl! I have served this family my entire life! Due to a recent power struggle we were secluded to this place”

The display he put up was turning embarrassing.

“Now, the Viscount entrusts all his legal affairs to me!”

Seeing his frustration it was quite obvious that the money supply from the Wyvern Guild was running low.

“You said you wanted to get rid of our guild. Let’s talk about that later.”

“You….”

“How much do you want? In exchange for lending the land again?”

“Huh. There must be at least 10,000 gold.”

I laughed but Sain’s complexion began to grow pale.

Sain pleaded, “We are not buying the land. We’re just borrowing it.”

“Okay. Then it means that I will lend it for 10,000 gold a year. Of course I have to renew my contract every year.”

“……”

“And the tax coming from the Hagnut Guild is terrible. I’m sure sure you’re embezzling quite a lot.”

“We don’t do that….”

Sain growled, “My goal is to succeed without doing something like that.”

“Huh, everyone says that initially.”

“……”

“I’m going to conduct an investigation sooner or later. So be aware.”

The conversation until now was well within my expectations.  I opened up the personnel register.

‘Now,what should I look for?’

[Concerns: I am contemplating that Somel Von Kelk’s health is gradually improving.]

‘Huh?’

[Recent travel (1 hour ago): Reprimanded by Amelia Von Kelk.]

[Recent travel (5 hours ago):  Dismissed Somel Von Kelk’s doctor.]

[Recent act (8 hours ago): Somel von Kelk’s doctor revealed that he administered a different medicine.]

‘Hmm…’

‘Is this what I think it is?’

‘Something like this is actually happening.’

Then Zen said.

“If you have nothing more to say, go back. Come back when you have 10,000 gold, then we’ll talk.”

“……”

[Jingle]

Zen left with the chime of the bell hanging near the door frame.  You could say that the meeting didn’t go so well.  Sain glared at him from behind and got up from the seat.

“Mr. Tay. Let’s leave.”

“……”

“Mr. Tay.I don’t think I can talk to that person a bit more.”

I got up from my seat at Sain’s words.  Then I said, pressing on the hat I once received from Kasha as a gift.

“It will be difficult if we do this.”

“I don’t care. We’ll find a different site.”

“No. Am not letting this one go. If we let this one go then we’ll face a lot of troubles in the near future.”

We walked through a long corridor guided by a maid.

At some point, Sain whispered to me with a reddish face, “Mr. Tay was already familiar with the butler, right?”

Instead of calling him Mr. Zen, she referred to him as the butler.  Considering her usual tone, this time she was really pissed.

“The last meeting wasn’t so good.”

“That’s why he entrusted the quest to defeat Braum at that time. A quest that Ms. Kasha shouldn’t have been able to resolve.”

“But we still did a great job.”

That said, Sain’s face eased up a bit.  Then she spoke in a serious voice, “Still, the Wyvern Guild seems to be involved in this.”

“I see. It was stated that the Siris chamber borrowed the land for 3000 gold. 3,000 gold for 3 years.”

“Three…”

Sain sighed heavily, “If we formally complain about the Wyvern Guild…”

“We have no evidence. Even if we did it wouldn’t make much difference, the Wyvern Guild still has some influence.”

“Then what should we do? We can’t just let this go.”

I burst into laughter. It would’ve been unavoidable even if Sain was in my place.  She was definitely growing, along with the Hagnut Guild.

Sain looked at me and tilted her head, “Why are you laughing? I’m serious.”

“Yeah. I am serious too.”

“……”

“Of course I have no intention of letting this go either.”

“Right? Ms. Beloa?”

The maid who was guiding us froze at those words.

She asked, turning around with a surprised face, “Yes? Did you call me?”

“Aren’t you Ms. Beloa?”

“Yes, yes. Uh? I don’t think I ever introduced myself…”

“I know you are assisting Amelia Von Kelk, the second wife of Viscount Kelk.”

Beloa was young. I got close to her to shake her hand and told her.

“Actually, Master Somel’s doctor and I know each other. Mr. Curin, I heard the story from him.”

“……”

I then backed up and looked at her record.
