Bo Pengfei glared at them all, "None of you have no right to judge Master Bai's decision. He is our Master, our teacher!"

"But, Brother Peng. What if that Han Shun kid failed Master Bai and brought shame to our sect?" One sect elder asked.

Honestly, Bo Pengfei also felt the same. He felt that Master Bai's decision was very rash, and he wasn't sure if Han Shun was cut out for it.

But since it was Master Bai's decision, none of them could object.

"Let's just believe in Master Bai's decision now. If Han Shun failed to win, or even worse, could not hunt any celestial beast, then I will be the one who talks to Master Bai about this."

"Heh, I don't think an inexperienced kid like him can even hunt one high-ranked celestial beast, let alone a Legendary beast! I bet he can't even survive a day inside the Loom Forest!"

Bo Pengfei sighed. The sect elder that had been against Master Bai's decision the most was Yulin, a female student who rose to be a new sect elder.

She had been in love with Master Bai for so long, but Master Bai remained nonchalant.

They always thought that Master Bai wouldn't be able to feel love because he was basically a God. So they accepted and worshipped him like one.

Until that Han Shun kid came, of course.

"Yulin, don't speak ill. Let's just hope that inexperienced kid will prevail, somehow," Pengfei said. The other sect elders went silent instantly as Pengfei was the most respected.

"Han Shun, I've got good news—" Bai Shijue came to Han Shun's courtyard to pass on the good news but paused when he looked around to find that kid, only to realize that Han Shun wasn't in his courtyard.

He saw Chinchin sleeping on a tree branch, so he called the little chipmunk, "Chinchin, come here."

"Squee…" Chinchin opened his eyes slowly and saw Master Bai. "Squee!"

Chinchin jumped from the Tree branch to Master Bai's shoulder, then hugged the man's neck.

Bai Shijue chuckled and patted Chinchin's head, "Where's Han Shun? I need to find him."

"Squee, Squee!"

Chinchin pointed in one direction where Han Shun was located right now, and Bai Shijue followed Chinchin's guide to find Han Shun.

Chinchin led him to the small room inside Han Shun's courtyard. It was supposed to be an unused second bedroom. Well, Bai Shijue planned to give this sect to Han Shun anyway, so maybe he could use it as a bedroom for his children if Han Shun planned to marry a woman in the future.

Bai Shijue touched the door, ready to slide it open, when he suddenly heard voices from inside.

It was Han Shun's voice. He seemed to be talking to himself.

"Yes, the event is important because Bai Gege wants me to go on my own. He believes in my strength."

"Well, I believe in my strength too! But a little bit of help won't hurt, right?"

"Fine, fine, I will swallow whatever. I just want to win and make Bai Gege proud. I will also get his kiss if I win, so…"

"It won't harm Bai Gege at all, right?"

"… if it's just a charm, then I can do it. It's not difficult."

Bai Shijue couldn't hold his curiosity even more. He wanted to catch Han Shun red-handed as he hated if his disciple hid something from him.

"Han Shun, who are you talking to—" Bai Shijue was shocked when he slid the door open and found Han Shun was sleeping.

He was sleeping soundly, even going as far as not wearing his robe, only wearing his undergarment.

Bai Shijue looked away and called Han Shun, "Han Shun!"

"Uhh… wuh?" Han Shun rubbed his eyes and saw Bai Gege standing in front of him. Bai Gege looked away as he wasn't clothed right now.

"A—Ah! I'm sorry, Bai Gege!" Han Shun quickly wore his robe as he was also embarrassed.

Bai Shijue finally looked at Han Shun once he made sure that the young man was fully clothed.

Han Shun still had his bed hair. He seemed to be resting well, so there was no reason for him to suspect the young man.

But he was convinced that he heard such a long conversation between Han Shun and someone else, "Han Shun, did you converse with someone here?"

"Huh? Of course not, Bai Gege! I fell asleep!" Han Shun denied it vehemently. "Maybe you just heard me sleeptalking, Bai Gege!"

Bai Shijue was sure that he truly heard Han Shun speaking in a clear and concise tone, he didn't mumble in his words, and he seemed to be very well aware of his situation.

But, Bai Shijue had no proof whatsoever.

[Pupa, you really heard it, right? Han Shun is speaking to someone behind the door!]

[Pupa: I did. But there is no proof of it. He really looks like someone who had just woken up.]

Bai Shijue decided to ignore this problem for now because he knew he had got no answer.

"Anyway, Han Shun, all the sect elders had said yes to your participation. I will give you a few stuff to make sure that you can survive because there will be lots of enemies who want you dead in that place," Bai Shijue said.

"Okay, Bai Gege! Don't worry too much about me, though. I can handle them all!"

Bai Shijue sighed. He knew that Han Shun was strong, but he could be too rash, and his little to no experience could be his death.

Bai Shijue couldn't help but grow worried about Han Shun's well-being there.

"I already prepared a few talismans for you. But the most important of all…." Bai Shijue pulled three talismans out of his pocket and handed them to Han Shun. "I will give you three of my love talismans. This is forbidden, but you could rip one love talisman to return to me if you got caught in a really bad situation. I will handle the rest. May the worst happen."
