"So, what do you think? Isn't it easier to just use my power?"

"Fine, I will use the power that you gave me," Han Shun said. He closed his eyes for a second, and once he opened them again, he quickly looked at the stag far from him and then imagined that he was burning the stag's legs.

Suddenly, dark energy surrounded the stag's legs. It slowly dissipated, like papers getting cut into small pieces and drifting into the air.

The stag screamed in pain but couldn't do anything as it just flopped to the ground without any legs. Blood started flowing out from the wound as well.

Master Han Ye chuckled and patted Han Shun's head, "See? It's not so difficult."

Han Shun nodded. He got up and walked towards the stag. The stag looked up, begging for mercy. But Han Shun had no mercy for anything other than Bai Gege.

If Bai Gege didn't care about it, it was free to be killed.

Han Shun created an ice dagger and then stabbed the stag's body. He sliced it clean and took its heart. He retrieved the small rainbow crystal inside the heart and cleaned it with water.

Han Shun left with the carcass of a legendary beast behind him and started searching for another one.

"Heheh, you're a talented man for using my power, Han Shun," Master Han Ye said as he praised the young man.

"But I can't rely on your power too much, Master Han. I don't want to arouse suspicion from Bai Gege, knowing that my real skill isn't as adequate to kill one legendary beast."

"Cheh, worry not. I can always give you the eighth and ninth marbles," God Han Ye replied. "Starting from the eighth down to the last marbles I have, these are all the powerhouses. They're so powerful that they would upgrade your physical and spiritual roots to unimaginable heights. You don't need to worry."

Han Shun knew that he didn't need to worry about his strength. He was just worried that Bai Gege might find out about it.

"Master Han, if I swallowed your marbles, Bai Gege wouldn't notice it, right? The worst thing that could happen to me is Bai Gege leaving me, you know…."

"Worry not, kid. As long as you don't make a direct deal to the devil, such as worshipping me like the rest of those idiots, then you'll be fine," Master Han Ye replied. "Are you that scared for your Bai Gege to know about your real identity?"

Han Shun nodded, "Bai Gege is the most beautiful, the kindest, the best human ever lived. Nobody should be able to touch him except me. Only I can see and touch Bai Gege…."

Han Shun's statement tickled Han Ye as he laughed, "Hahahaha!"

"What? Why are you laughing!?"

"No, it's nothing at all. It reminds me of my first meeting with my wife," Han Ye said. But he quickly shifted the topic by pointing in one direction. "There is another legendary celestial beast there."

Han Shun found his next target. He thought he would finally find a worthy opponent for fighting, maybe a giant crocodile or even a giant tiger.

But what he found was a woman with butterfly wings sitting on a big tree stump.

The woman brushed her long, green hair and stopped once she noticed Han Shun standing quite far from her.

The woman smiled at Han Shun and bowed respectfully, "Are you somehow related to Master Bai Shijue?"

"I take that as a yes. I can smell the scent of Master Bai from you," the woman said. She resumed brushing her green hair and patted the empty space beside her on the tree stump. "Why don't we have a conversation first? I know that you must've been a little tired after fighting the legendary stag, right?"

Han Shun has hundreds of questions in his head right now;

How could this legendary beast get a human form?

How could she speak like a normal human?

How could she smell Han Shun when they were far away like this?

But in the end, he followed his instinct and approached the fairy.

He sat beside the fairy on the big tree stump and went quiet. There was a long silence between them until the fairy finished brushing her hair. She put her comb on the ground and looked at Han Shun, "Your name?"

"Han Shun."

"I see, that's such a beautiful name," the green fairy prayed. She smiled and continued, "Nice to meet you, Han Shun. Though, I know that you have to kill me after this, right?"

"Don't worry about it. I am a Legendary Beast, after all. I will be reborn again after you slew me. Maybe in 10 years, 100 years, or even 1000 years. But it is the cycle of life."

"You're not going to struggle?" Han Shun asked. He found it pretty suspicious that this legendary beast seemed to be very intelligent and had accepted her fate.

"I can't fight you at all. Because my ability has no effect on you."

"What do you mean? All legendary beasts have some sort of incredible power, right? I had to spend a lot of time killing that stag near the lake."

"Yes, but my ability relates closely to mental attack. I can bring on a man's most powerful images, and create an illusion, making them mad," the green fairy explained. "Usually, I would be very dangerous to almost anyone, and I've never been slain in the past. So, you will be the first one to ever beat me."

"… why couldn't you make an illusion out of my biggest desire?" Han Shun asked.

"Because your biggest desire is Master Bai Shijue, and your love for him is so deep, there is no way for me to replicate it," The green fairy said. She had a thin smile as she stated, "Besides, Master Bai's feeling for you is also deep. It's too complicated for my limited capability."
