Real Name God

: Shelf testimonials

Hello everyone, I am a clockwork orange dream.

Let me talk about the birth of this book first. The title of the book is obviously a tribute to Verno Vincci’s famous book "Real Name and Real Name". This novella is also the foundation work of early cyberpunk literature. Although the content of this work is basically unrelated to the content of this novel, there is a core connotation of an important setting that is similar:

"Real Name, Real Name" begins by saying, "In the age of magic, any wizard regards his real name as the most cherished secret treasure. Once the opponent of the wizard has his real name, everyone knows what kind of real name they use. Ordinary magic can kill him, or make him his slave";

And let us imagine a highly networked era: You can call the wind and rain in the virtual world, seemingly omnipotent; but if your identity and IP address are exposed to others, someone will hit you along the network cable or check the water meter at your door. You're done, it's just a deflated balloon that has been punctured-to use a current subculture buzzword to describe it, that is, "On the Internet, I hit hard, but in reality I only promise."

Verno Winch used his genius imagination to link a occult concept that should have been eliminated in the age of scientific prosperity with his worries about the future global Internet era ("Real Name, Real Name" was published in 1981 ). This kind of subtle interest, this is my first thought before writing this work.

In fact, the first version of this work (now lying in the computer trash bin) is quite similar to "Real Name, Real Name", because it is a "cyberpunk worldview" novel in the general sense. Regrettably, when I was about to open the hole at the starting point, it happened to be the beginning of this year's crackdown... I checked the outline and settings and felt that the probability of overturning was very high, so I simply stopped writing.

I am not willing to change it and post it again. So, how do you do it?

Come back to the concept of real names. Apart from the works of Verno Wenqi, what else can readers and friends think of?

That's right, when it comes to this, there may be some science fiction fans who can already react: that is Ursula Le Guen's masterpiece "Earth Sea Legend"...Of course, this topic is actually not directly related to this work. Relation, I was only inspired a little bit by this, and when I turned my pen, I wanted to write a fantasy book.

is not western style, but Chinese style. More precisely, it is a domestic web-style.

To talk about works that connect science fiction and fantasy, this is a cliché—in the Western world, the two types of literature have never been clearly distinguished—and there is also a special genre novel called science fantasy (sciencefantasy). The story of the war between magic and technology is typical.

Under the category of "scientific fantasy", there is a subcategory called "future fantasy". This type of story generally takes place in the future after a long period of time. Because of huge disasters or wars, civilization regresses to ancient times. But because of the legacy of advanced technology, the ancient civilization has transformed into a fantasy civilization.

Therefore, the "fantasy world" is essentially a "sci-fi world". This setting is not uncommon in the world. It is actually a type of literature. Europeans and Americans also write, Japanese also write, Chinese also write, just like cyberpunk novels or steampunk novels.

If you have to find a head of this genre, it is probably Jack Vance’s "Dying Earth", after that, Gene Wolf’s "Book of the New Sun", and Roger Zeraz Ni’s "King of Light"-this may be more well-known; I personally like Nao Yoshida's "Sacred Demon's Blood", which is the first opportunity for me to come into contact with this type of work; "The Blade of Degree 2", from this, I started to understand the Alien series a little bit, and its world view seems to be this way...I personally think it's quite common anyway.

But on this basis, the setting of "The Real Name God", I believe—at least in my eyes, is still novel. Because its background board is the cyberpunk story I have written, and the two worlds correspond one to one. Maybe someone has written before, but what I am thinking and writing is inconsistent with the works mentioned above. I can guarantee this.

   The above is considered off-topic.

It’s so hot, it doesn’t seem to have anything to do with this book...Speaking of myself, "The Real Name God" is my first original novel. At this time, I am writing a youth school romance novel. The number of words is quite long, but it is a unit drama. At the beginning of this year, I prepared a suspense and horror novel. Although I was ambitious when I opened the hole, there were various problems in the middle. In the end, it was finally put on the shelves. It was because of grade problems and died. I am afraid that it will not continue until there is no pressure in life.

Then there is "The Real Name God".

In fact, the first dozen chapters of this work were written earlier. Objectively speaking, it is not attractive as an online article. After all, there are no "Golden Chapters".

My goal at the time was to describe a wizarding kingdom with a standard Western illusion in tens of thousands of words, and then expand the world view to achieve a one-to-one correspondence. If you tell the reader the background as soon as you come up, you may lose a part of the interest... But now it seems that I am the loser.

People often have to suffer a bit to grow.

This is not necessarily a bad thing in itself, but the problem is that I now live by writing online articles, and I am under a lot of pressure. I have already passed the time of writing online articles for self-entertainment.

Nowadays, the low-level writers are getting more and more sad~www.wuxiaspot.com~ The oppression and squeeze come from all aspects, so once frustrated, it is easy to give up. And frankly speaking, in the early stage of writing these three hundred thousand characters, I did think about abandoning the pit. Its performance is not good, and coupled with the creation of this type of story for the first time, I always feel stumbling when writing...

But in the end, there was none.

Here I would like to thank the two leaders @大猪peiqi and @星愿久远 for their rewards. I said in the comment area that the two are strong heart needles and it is not a false statement; and @假面骑士 who insists on giving me a reward of 200 every day Usami Renko, as well as @群龙令 for my every book promotion as always, as well as new friends and old friends who recommend me, give me a reward, comment in the post and book review areas...not listed here I remember the name in my heart, thank you very much.

Now, I don’t feel stumbling anymore. In my spare time, I have been thinking about the story of the Mayan world. The more I think about it, the more attractive I feel. I just want to write it out earlier.

I conceived a very interesting follow-up content, including fun settings and cute characters, I really can’t wait to share it with you.

Because of this idea, I now have the confidence to continue to stick to it until I finish this work.

   Thank you all.

Another: I asked the editor in charge. It was a VIP at 12 o'clock today. You should be able to see that before this chapter was put on the shelf, I actually published three public chapters.

So in order to avoid misunderstandings, let me explain in advance. Don’t ask why it’s not added to the shelves, there are already seven or eight thousand words of free content... I know it used to be slower, please treat it as a small one. Make it up.

The first VIP chapter will be uploaded at 12:30.
