“Well, what is your answer?”

Sitting in front of Jiang DeXian, as much Zhang ZhiYang tried to make himself seem more personable, but his temperament of feeling he was above him Jiang DeXian shone through him nonetheless.

Hidden in his eyes were some distaste and contempt. A man like Jiang DeXian, who was good at nothing except for his good looks, was somehow favored by Fang JunRong and brought him with her wherever she went. Thinking how he himself had been more and more marginalized in his clan, his irritation worsened.

Had he known Fang JunRong would be so mighty, he should have worked with her long time ago. At the very minimum he would not have ended up where he was today.

Lifting his head and seeing Jiang DeXian typing away on his phone, Zhang ZhiYang was even more angry. A heartthrob (?) making a living with nothing but his look dared to ignore him?

Jiang DeXian shook his head and said casually, “5 million yuan is not enough. Add another zero.”

Zhang ZhiYang busted out laughing from anger. Where did he get his confidence from? Add a zero? Was he insane?

His look cold and his tone very dangerous, “You sure you will be around long enough to spend all that money? Do you really feel that you are worth 50 million?” Zhang ZhiYang has money, that was not a problem. He just didn’t wan to drop 50 million on something minor like this. Now, if he could exchange 50 million yuan for the opportunity to work with Fang JunRong, that was a different story.

Jiang DeXian said nonchalantly. “There’s where you have it wrong. The question isn’t whether I am worth 50 million yuan. The question is whether Fang JunRong is worth 50 million yuan to you. If you don’t even want to pay 50 million yuan for the opportunity to purse her, then I am questioning your sincerity on this.”

“I heard that Young Master Zhang had spent 500 million in the past to place his adopted sister into a production cast before.”

Zhang ZhiYang’s face changed colors. What people had heard about was that he had spent an astronomical amount on his adopted sister and there had been many rumors about a relationship between the two of them. What the public didn’t know was that she was Director Ji’s daughter out of the wedlock. He wanted to help her kickstart her career but also not want his wife to find out. That’s why he ended up doing it through Zhang ZhiYang.

His adopted sister was doing very well right now. Most people thought it was because he had been backing her with his money. That was far from the truth. Most of that was accomplished from Director Ji’s connections.

He couldn’t possibly share that here and now so he could only feel unjust for himself.

He had sort of a baby face and looked young for his age. When he had a long face, though, he did have an authoritative look on him that was normally missing. Unfortunately, that was not going to work with Jiang DeXian, who was just pouring himself another cup of tea relaxingly.

“Want some tea?” He even asked politely.

The hell with the tea!

Fine! He’d let him have it this time! It was very unfortunate that Jiang DeXian’s contract with the company had ended. He had plenty of other ideas to force him into complying otherwise.

He imagined all sorts of terrible things that he could do to Jiang DeXian after Fang JunRong had dumped him and was finally able to calm himself down. Coldly, he said, “50 million. I hope you can keep your promise.”

He did not drop such an astronomic amount just to have Jiang DeXian leave Fang JunRong’s side. Whether Jiang DeXian was to leave Fang JunRong or not, it would not prevent him from making his next move.

Jiang DeXian gave him a dubious look. Was this guy a complete fool? Even the dumbest television show that he was in did not have a story arc like this. At the most the wealthy madam would pull out a check and asked the female lead to leave her son for 1 million yuan.”

Who would pay their romantic rival? Not to mention that this suitor didn’t even look all that hopeful.
